Max freeIve Maxed out my limit. Soo paying the upmost in interest possible and they have the audacity to let me spend past the limit and then charge me per transaction there past a further $10 for no apparent reason. CommBank, making banking difficult from day 1!I applied for a credit card and received it. Had to go into the bank to get my second card holders identity checked and it took him 45 mins to set it all up. Then they called and said I needed to go in and verify my identity ... I tried to put the card in Xero business accounting, but found out that I can't actually get bank feeds for CommBank personal credit cards!!! This is the reason that I have it. I will be cancelling both this card and my other credit card that I have with Comm Bank.
I don't have a bank account with them and they make my life difficult. I can't setup automatic direct debit payments from a third party bank provider, so have to manually pay the card off. Ridiculous.
They make life so difficult for customers!

High FeesThe Commonwealth Bank charged me :($15 for overdrawn fee and the amount overdrawn was only $56 approximately and l had clear funds going through only 3hrs later by a direct transfer) ,l think the Commonwealth Bank are not interested in looking after customers with not much money for just pure greed in my book

False HopeI should have listened to the reviews. Was attracted to the low rates. Got conditional approval for a car loan. Upon providing all the relevant documents, Declined. Well they had collected TONS of data from us. For them its a win, too bad for us, lost time and effort. Left us hanging.

Two weeks to access account statements after rolloverI have recently rolled over my Essential Super to another fund. However to my surprise once my roll over had been completed not only my Essential Super account was closed but it also disappeared from my NetBank. I do not see ... Read moreit in even in "closed account" section so there is no way to access my account statements. I now need a few past years of my account standard statements for my legal case with my ex-employer but two weeks later, multiple emails and two long Essential Super support calls I am still cannot get my statements to be simply sent to my registered email address.
As of today the only document I managed to get from Essential Supper support is a concise list of transactions which is not a statement. Today I called the support again explaining that I need a statement but in response the same concise list of transactions was sent to me.
Not sure what to do now: call them again with the same request only to receive the same useless list for the third time?
UPDATE: Finally I managed to get from Essential Supper the documents I needed by complaining to their Complains Resolution team via membercare@cfs.com.au email. A senior member of the team promptly responded to my request, immediately understood exactly what I wanted and provided me with a correct (manually composed) document. It is a shame that I had to go via complains department but at least there is a way.

CBA treatment of the AgedMy father who is bed ridden in an aged care facility, saved well throughout his life and put is monies in various banks. He was told that he would need to come into a branch to identify himself which isnt possible without an ambulance. He doesn't know if the aged care facility is going to be paid to keep his place, cant prepare his tax return and been on the security line for more than 1 hr. CBA need to realise that not ALL their customers can get to a branch without the use of an ambulance. When asked if a CBA employee could visit the aged care facility they said it was against the banks policy. So CBA has the bulk of his assets and he doesnt have access to any of it! I would also like to point out the CBA was notified that such transactions were coming and still their processes cant cope.

some tax. I received an error message without explaining what the problem was. I rang and spoke to two people who could not explain what the issue was. I was then put on hold. I was eventually told that I could not schedule a transfer from the GoalSaver account, even if it is to another CBA account. I asked why. I was told: "We did that because people were losing interest". In other words, CBA tells people what they can and can't do with their money. The only way around it is to close the GoalSaver account or transfer the money on the day. However, if I forget, I end up with a tax problem. That is one reason why scheduled transfers exist in the 21st century. I was told that I could lodge a complaint. I asked if anybody would get back to me regarding the complaint. "Not necessarily". Excellent customer service. The only thing I give CBA is that the people I spoke to were polite and transparent. Hence two stars rather than one.Citibank

I would hate to be making a claim with comminsure if they are this hard to get onto.

There was no possibility of a scam.
Within 30 minutes of leaving the bank, I received a phone call; 2-3 texts and 4-5 emails wanting me to contact the Bank.
Suspecting a scam I checked with the local branch and was assured the contact was genuine.
I phoned the number and was advised the bank was doing a security check to protect me. After the usual "identifying" questions; full name, date of birth, residential address etc; then followed a list of questions which appeared to have nothing to do with security but more attuned to a "Marketing Survey." I objected to this unwarranted intrusion of my private affairs but was informed that unless I answered all questions, the transfer of funds would not proceed. BIF DADDY HAD THE STICK.
Under protest, I answered all questions. It was agreed that there was no scam and that the funds would be transmitted to the receiving Bank and should be in the designated account by Saturday 20 January.
A review of my Bank Account on Monday 22 revealed that the amount had not been transferred as I was told on the previous Friday and by way of email. [FALSE ADVICE FROM COMM BANK]
Another trip to the local branch late on Tuesday 23 Jan and was advised to contact the security section again.
This section failed to notify me that the funds HAD NOT been transferred.
Today, 24 January, another call to Security to be advised the funds would be transferred within a 40 minute time frame. Records now show that to be correct.
On three occasions, I have requested to be supplied with the questions asked (apart from identifying questions) and on each occasion was advised that staff could not provide the questions. When asked for a reason for the refusal, I was told it was because of "BANK POLICY."
When any organization hides behind the excuse "POLICY," then one commences to smell a 'rat.'
Was the Commonwealth Bank trying to protect my financial interests or more likely was the Commonwealth Bank conducting a covert "Marketing Survey" to find reasons for their shrinking business base and loss of customer support. You be the Judge.

They haven't approved the claim yet, nor have they bothered to keep me updated "every 20 business days". I've lost confidence in this company and will most likely seek a more professional company to handle my insurance needs in the future. My advice would be to give Comminsure a miss (Now trading as Hollard Insurance because Comminsure got such a bad name in the market place), and go elsewhere.Citibank Citi Prestige

Worst offset account everThe CBA MISA account is the worst offset account I have ever used. It's not 100% transactional - you cannot direct debit from this account and every single time you make a withdrawal it has to be more than $500. I cannot believe that I am paying $375 package fee for a product like that. So disappointed
