A Rolls Royce compared to my last bike – Decided to replace my old bike when the chain kept slipping. This Apollo road bike is not only lighter and easier to pedal, but can go up hills I… Read more

used to have walk up before. Disc brakes are great too. Very pleased with it actually - can cycle for miles without getting tired. So a great way of exercising when you're retired.

Good – It's a slick, comfortable, fast and responsive bike. It rides well and is quite comfortable on longer rides. The responsiveness does mean you have to… Read more

watch out for a slight lack of stability if you're not paying attention but this is really nick picking. Overall I'm really pleased with this bike and happy to recomend it This is a light, slick looking, bike which rides smoothly and comfortably. Speed wise I've been able to easily keep up with my friend's racing bike on an 80km touring ride. I've also opened it up on long open roads and been really pleased with the result. It's a quick bike and have shaved minutes off my morning rides which are c45 to 60 minutes usually. Gear change is quite smooth and quick. Having the triple crank at the front is useful for hilly areas such as where I live. It brakes well and is very responsive. The carbon fork takes some of the bump out of the road and contributes to the overall light weight. The seat is quite conformfortable. Overall I'm very pleased with this bike, especially given the price range I've found it a little unstable i front but this is partly because I've come off a fatter tyre onto this bike. It generally rides really true but you just need to watch what you're doing. It's a minor issue but one I've noticed. It also needs to be wider in the corning than I'm use to but this is again partly a reflection of thinner wheels plus my limited experience

easier as already familiar with Apollo bike quality

as my last one (summit) lasted some 12 years of hard use.

I would recommend this bike. Awesome braking power with the hydraulic disc brakes. Love the rock shox pop loc. Overall High quality build fit and finish. Changed uncomfortable Standard saddle and pedals for better ones, when new needed adjusting occasionally threw chain off.

trashy chinese no name imports and everything in between ( i actually rode 8 different models)... finally settled on the apollo eon nexus despite concerns of its range.... get this in perspective, i am 54yo, 110kgs and not an athlete although had regularly ridden a standard bike but was finding knee pain was making me want to make my life a little easier... sensational is all i can say... the bike has a nice tight feel, front motor with a very slight hum when under extreme load has an economy or higher power setting and surprisingly a longer range than i thought... at least over 45kms so far... this will differ dependent on the amount of peddling pressure you help with i assume... the motor progressively assists from start till approx 23 to 25kph after which it cuts out and will re engage the motor when you go below this speed again...you have to have the pedals moving for the motor to assist so this keeps one busy... the 8 speed hub gears are easy to operate and well spaced, and brakes are solid performers disengaging the motor when applied... overall a great bike... the battery is lockable and slides very easily under the rack and i managed to put a large basket on top of the rack without causing a problem with getting it in and out... this has got to be one of the better secrets of the peddle assist bikes and i can highly recommend it... ideal for melbourne terrain... easily defeated the punt road hill... tight feel, build quality, well thought out would like lights that run off the battery :-)

A surprisingly good mountain bike – I've got 6 bikes here , older bikes , mountain bikes to road racers. But I figured it was time to spoil myself , and get myself a new bike. I… Read more

looked at ebikes , the cheap and nasty , and the (very) expensive .

I figured I'd let them bake for a while longer .

I traveled to lots of dealers (I am in rural Victoria) , and spent a lot of time with my local bike shop , who were very approachable.

They finished up recommending to me an Apollo D10 , and would get one in for me to try.

I agreed , but got the D20 , as the D10 wasn't available to them.

I then took it home , and took it on my toughest track that afternoon , and early the next morning.

Wow , what a surprise , compared to my other mountain bikes this was a beautifully balanced bike , very comfortable (although the seat takes some getting used to) , the suspension just soaking up the rough track .

The gearing is great , there always seems to be the right gear available , and I have yet to use the extreme gears.

And the tyres give me plenty of traction.

And it takes a second to lock out the shocks , for road riding.

Again , it is fun to ride , even with the wide tyres on the road , it handles well , with good brakes.

In time , I might look for a more comfortable seat , for spending hours in the saddle.

And I might get handlebars with more of a rise , to help my arthritic hands.

But , I'm spending a lot of time on this bike , and every ride is a real pleasure , and often a real surprise , at just how competent it is.

I'm very happy to have bought the bike (and it wasn't cheap).

Apollo Altura 2014 bike – This bike is really comfortable to ride, excellent on hills with its 24 gears, smooth gear changes and well padded saddle. The ride is very smooth… Read more

and even going up and down gutters does not jolt with the suspension on the front forks and under the seat. I am able to comfortably ride long distances on this, and am overall very pleased with it and cannot find any faults. Gearing, suspension, seat and handling

Value for money – Being on a budget, I took a long hard look at the Ultra and bit the bullet, paid and took the bicycle home with some reservations. Rolled the Bike… Read more

out for a weekend run - hill climbs, cobbled pavements, wet and dry bitumen and almost everything I could ride the bike in. Surprise, surprise..it was just as good as the Avantis and the big brand names.

What I like - Excellent frame rigidity for hill climbs and fast descents. Even ran over two deep potholes, one after another because I could not see them against overcast skies with long shadows from tree lined roads. I thought the frame would have cracked from the jolts but the bike held.

The bike's carbon frame absorbed vibrations beautifully. In comparison, I have done 100 plus km rides in various road and MTBs and noticeably the Ultra lacks the vibrations that travel up your legs and arms which causes fatigue during long rides.

The Prologo seat is comfortable and considering that I have a big frame from being obese, it holds its own alright.

I took a stacked the bike racing around a corner at 30kms+ and the bike only suffered a scratch to the seat and right hood. I wish it had been that easy for me, instead I walked off with 3 broken ribs and had to ride the 58 kms home. So there you go, the bike survived a double flip and for all my padding, I was no match for the road.

I know I am going off track here but recently I bought a kiddies bike (Radius also by Apollo) and it was well designed and I was surprised at how light the bike was for an all alloy. Well done Apollo. You have my attention. Value for money, good vibration dampening as expected in a carbon frame.

use it dont stow it – We have our used Apollo Stowaway fold ups a couple of months now - about two years old and little used by the previous owners - what a great buy.… Read more

Love the feel and quality. Had two no-name cheapies previously with regular gear probs and poor weld work throughout the bikes. Apollo's are excellent. Not heavy, easy fold for our motorhome travel and both pedals that fold in for side by side storing. Just a bit worried that the Stoway 2.0 has only 20 spokes not 32 or more. Already had to get a new spoke ($35 as it needs a wheel taken down and rebuilt)

Other wise excellent great quailty - lovely ride 20 spokes - should be 30+

of stainless steel as they had stated. A product recall was not done and i actually had an accident whilst driving the bike and the spokes broke on me. How can you put a product out there knowing it can kill someone, very dangerous. They should be liable for all these bikes that people had to fix themselves.

Never again buy a bike from apollo brands if that is there ethics. unreliable spokes were faulty when bikes were made
