I did not find it useful in Japan.
I also discovered 10 yrs ago that westpac ATM cards don't work in Hawaii as there was no "bank of America " (there is bank of Hawaii )
My experiences have taught me to not rely on Westpac cards for travel.

Read moreunt into which he uploaded significant funds (I have bank statements) in preparation for travel. I tried accessing his account online but was blocked. After running the gauntlet, that is Qantas from one branch to another, my lawyer finally received a bunch of excel statements from Qantas Money listing withdrawals but not a final statement from master card showing the balance as requested on numerous occasions.
My burning issue is that my husband uploaded 'large' amounts onto the credit ledger and smaller amounts onto the savings ledger, on the card, in accordance with Qantas recommendations. But Qantas Money (master card) does not acknowledge this, referring only to the savings ledger for which I was credited $1.65.
At one point, my lawyer contacted the Queensland Heritage Bank, the bank for the card, seeking access to the account but was informed that authority is solely through Qantas. BTW: From February this year, the Heritage Bank no longer provides this service with Qantas.
In my most recent communique to Qantas Money I reemphasised that all I want from here on is a statement or access so that I can see the balance for myself, for peace of mind (March 17). I received the standard acknowledgment but nothing more and can only deduce from this that Qantas is either withholding or refusing to address my complaint directly (in writing via email). And furthermore, in consequence, that it appears not to value customer loyalty. I would happily stop being a pest if Qantas were to comply. Qantas has a lot to answer for, but I am stuck in limbo in not being sure where to turn, hence my decision to write this review. I shall resolve to accept that at least I have had my say and can warn prospective takers off from going anywhere near this disaster of a product.

Best Travel Card on the market!I used this travel card on my last 2 trips to Europe back in 2018 & 2019. Used it in London, Italy & Paris & never once had a problem. It worked perfectly & was so easy & convenient to manage through the NAB banking app. Couldn’t fault it at all. Such a shame NAB have now discontinued it. Imagine I try to use this card at the checkout in HK with no HK dollars in hand. I then used my CBA credit card. It went through straight away !! I wouldn't bother to try those Worldwide wallet carda or travel carda issued by a bank anymore

Cost of call was exhorbitant. No help from Westpac at all. This has been going on for 2 weeks and still can't use my card. Having to rely on friends and family for money. Thanks Westpac.

To be completely fair and transparent I made a FX (Foreign Exchange) payment via XE using a personal account and not a business account. My bad I will own this. I was assured it happens all the time and is an easy fix. They will return my money. No so. Unfortunately my money was lost. Somewhere in un-allocated funds, despite using the exact payment and reference numbers explicitly quoted by XE. (no errors, spot on) Concerning to say the least. Full disclosure, it was eventually found, albeit more than a week later (10 days actually) after numerous emails and phone calls back and forth. Not a pleasurable experience.
Then I still need to make a FX transfer via a Business account. Simple enough one would assume, no. Because my business and my personal email addresses are the same, it is somehow impossible to cancel/remove a personal account and reapply as a business. Despite 25 phone calls and emails daily for a month, this still has not been rectified, even a month later! Such a simple task. Delete an email address from your system. I will reapply, simple. Not for XE. The moral of the story here is, all this just to become their customer. Imagine if something really bad happened and you need to rely on them. There are heaps of other providers like OFX, CurrencyFair, Wise (Formally Transfer Wise), and many more that have internal systems that work flawlessly. Use any alternative other than XE.com. I have proven that it has been vastly easier to use their competition then to ever deal with XE. To be clear, it was easier and quicker for a competitor to establish another account, complete the gauntlet of KYC "Know Your Customer" interrogation paperwork, and make a foreign exchange payment to another country before XE.com could simply remove an email address. BTW, as of today, still not rectified. You have been warned!
