Visiondrive VD-8000HDS
Visiondrive dash camI bought a VisionDrive 8000HD in 2012. It worked until 2018 yet without any indication it stopped recording. Seems like it had filled the memory stick and did not over record both normal driving or ev…ents. …. As I understood was it function. Yet it started each day and did a dick check and announced it was recording with voice recording active. Now in 2022 we had an event and now we need the recording only to find it stopped recording back in 2018. I’ll never trust a VisionDrive unit again and will check any of my units regularly. |
Haier 517L Bottom Mount HRF520BW (White)
Verified No Warranty Support AvailableWe bought this 80cm refrigerator on April 23rd 2022 from Joyce Mayne Nowra NSW. Within 3 weeks it was pouring water onto the floor and needed a warranty service but unfortunately the retailer and the …manufacturer can not find a service agent to fix our machine. After a few weeks of phone calls and chasing up… We are now told that the south coast of NSW …lower than Nowra has no warranty support from Fisher Paykel
We have suggested that they exchange the fridge for a new machine if they cannot repair the unit. |
Compass
Warning. Insurance free car is NOT freI was offered a Compass hire car through my smash repair company because I was not at fault. I was told by Compass the cost would be recovered from the other drivers insurance company. Importantly I w…as told that I would only get the car if the other insurance company agreed to pay the hire and there was no risk to me.
After I returned the car I received an email from Compass telling me they were having trouble getting the other insurance to pay. I felt deceived and took the attitude that it was not my problem but today I got a second email telling me that the other insurance company had paid and ‘my liability was extinguished’. What a big surprise….. the car was not free and the cost was not covered by the other insurance before I used the car. In fact I was underwriting the Compass legal process of exacting payment from the other insurance all the way through. I can only assume that I would be the focus of legal action for payment if the other insurance company finally refused to pay.
It feels like a very slippery arrangement and I regret being involved. |
iTechworld
Verified ITechWorld DC-DC ChargerI have a Motorhome with 550ah AGM batteries. Before changing to lithium I decided to fit a DC-DC charger and smart meter. I chose iTechWorld because of their support to the CMCA. I am astounded at th…e full battery status achieved by this new charger and the information from the smart meter. After two weeks I changed my batteries to two Lithium X120 I Techworld. And a smart meter. I installed the system myself and it has worked now for 12 months The lid on one battery became unstuck and needed a return to ITech for repair no charge. Good service. Through out the process I have rung technical support a few times and always found them good. I have now bought a dedicated charger for a new Solar panel which will work in conjunction with the DC-DC charger’s Solar input, as I’m leaving the existing Solar system in place. After 14 months, So far it has all been going well and the smart meter is indispensable for monitoring the system. |
Resort Trailers
Verified Poor Workmanship and Rude but Honorable in the EndI had Resort Trailers fit a HBar rack to my trailer and explained that I was traveling across to Perth and did not want a problem along the way. When I got the trailer back the racks were waving and m…oving with very little support. So I returned the trailer by appointment and after a full day they had put on some further support but still the racks moved. They were rude and dismissive so I did not push it yet I reminded them of the need to be substantive for the WA trip. I have also included a sample photo of unpainted welds. They only painted where they could see and I had to do some big paint and rust proof touch up following their poor workmanship.
Today I arrived in WA and I am overnighting in Kalgoorlie because I need to find a welder. The racks have broken their welds in four or more points and I have been holding the bars on by the means of tie ropes. I was only carrying a Kayak on the racks. ... a very lite load. It’s very poor workmanship and the company owner seems to take no pride in getting the job done right and correct. In fact abuse is his means of dealing with problems which I found very upsetting.
Further to the events above. .... Resort Trailers Paid for the Repairs
I sent Resort Trailers both pictures and the opportunity to help select welders in Kalgoorlie to rectify the broken weld problems. I gave them notice that I expected them to pay for the repairs. We dialogued by email (and it was polite and respectful) and when the work was done I sent them new pictures of the repairs with new bracing of the HRacks. I also send the receipt and a short description of the work completed as written by Goldfields Sheetmetal and Welding. I am pleased to report that Resort Trailers transferred the full amount of $250 into my account without any objection. I am delighted that in the end Resort Trailers turned out to be an honorable company who stood by their product and service. I’d like to thank Daniel of Resort Trailers |
