AliExpress.com
Service is ok, postage slowI recently purchased 4 items from different sellers using AliExpress. Overall I'm happy with the service, postage is just very slow with poor tracking if you use the standard option. I did my research… when buying and checked user reviews to have a rough idea if sellers were genuine. I got lucky to be honest and there was a point where I thought I may not get some of the items. The postage times can really range and tracking can be really unrealistic.
Item 1. Ordered and arrived in 2 weeks. Tracking was active all the way through using the standard postage.
Items 2-4 just showed shipped and still do but they arrived after 1 month. Just opened my door and auspost had left a card to receive the parcels. No tracking updates or acknowledgement of parcel where abouts happened.
All items arrived just as described and are working for now.
Is AliExpress worth it, probably not unless your happy to wait and get a really good price. If not go somewhere else and get better buyer protection and quicker delivery times. Use the postage options with tracking and express to make it worthwhile. |
Kia Cerato Sedan Sport+
Verified Amazing Car full-stopThis is one of those gems in the car market which you really need to try before buying a new small/medium sized car. My car has been an absolute pleasure to own and now 16000km's there's been no major… issues. I hope this is the case for many years to come. Its a very well kitted our car with numerous features and safety perks. I own the Sport+ model, and the automatic anti fog system comes in handy for the colder states here in Australia. Drives exceptionally well and is easy to park and handle around the streets. Plenty of space in the car, I'm quite tall and fit comfortably in both the front and back. To summarise, I'll keep it sort and sweet, but this car is hard to beat for its price and what it offers. I highly recommend trying one of these especially with the other competitors such as Toyota, Hyundai, Subaru, etc. If you're on a budget though the base sport is still a good pick, but if you have the funds go with the sports+, or better yet the GT you won't be disappointed. Cons: Slightly higher than average fuel consumption I average roughly 8.5l/100km in the Comfort mode on mix highway and city driving, there can be a little road noise heard in the car at times especially if road quality isn't the best. This could be down to tyres currently on car. |
Speed Dating Australia
Great quick place to meet like minded singlesI've been to a couple of these in Brisbane. Its a great way to meet like minded singles quickly and efficiently. I've tried online dating but it's just not the same to when you have a proper conversat…ion in person. If you're single looking at meeting new people for either friends and or dating these guys are pretty good at organising the events and I definitely recommend them.

Lenovo X1 Carbon
Great reliable deviceI purchased my X1 carbon 4 years ago mainly for office work and has been a solid work horse. Still has one year warranty remaining as it was purchased with 5 years from Lenovo with the NBD warranty. B…attery life isn't the best at a mere 2-3 hours but this is for the older model Gen 2 X1 carbon. Newer models should have resolved this with the improvements in technology and efficiency. The QHD touch screen is nice to work on and the KB is a pleasure to type on also. The only issue I had over the years was the MB was replaced in its first year but has been solid ever since. For a machine that gets used daily for 6-8 hours I'm very happy with the reliability and speed of the machine and when I did have issues Lenovo was quick to help resolve them. You do pay a premium for the X1 series machines but if your're after a business laptop then I would highly recommend them.

Samsung Galaxy Book 12" 4G
Great device with some minor annoyancesI'll keep my review short but overall machine is quite good. I've used many devices in the past but this is my favourite so far. The OLED screen is by far the highlight and makes creating and viewing …content very enjoyable. KB cover is average in terms of options for the stand but overall works well and is pleasant to type on. Pen works very well has a different sort of feedback when compared to the surface machines feels more natural to use. I got the i5, 4GB ram model but haven't had any performance issues with my general usage of browsing the web, light document work and photo editing in lightroom.
Downsides: The Fan runs all the time, its not very loud but may bother some. Battery life is about average around the 4-5 hour mark not at the 11hr mark as advertised but I tend to have the brightness at around 70-75% so may have something to do with it. The stand not being lap friendly.
All in all a good machine just abit on the pricey end wait till its on special I'd say before buying.
