Showbag Shop
Verified Beware, scammers! This company also trades under CHICANE. Be warned Don't go near them, this i… s run by 3rd parties who don't have a clue on what is going on, I am quite sure their customer service is one of these offshore mobs, you get this weird computer type reply when you email them with a number saying they will reply, but they don't. We purchased over $300 worth of bags for a kids party, almost one month later still no show bags, emailed them but they wont reply. They stuffed up the kids party and still kept our money, next step is NCAT, that should drag the thieving opener out of its hideaway. If you want a show bag, go to Woolworth, they sell them, as for this mob, don't go near them, its a two horse circus with zero care, a fancy website to suck you in. |
CouriersPlease
Backyard CowboysThese mob is beyond words, firstly they have no humans that work there, a number you call that text you a chat link to some 3rd party off shore Indian call centre, then to chat with a person thousands… of miles away who doesn't have a clue what you are even talking about, its stupid to believe possible.
This mob is a website to pick up parcels but has no service, no deliveries and no after service to call or chat with, the second time I tried calling I was put again to this chat link, but not one turned up to chat, I waited 45 minutes before giving up. When reading up it looks like they are owned by Singapore post and
trying to franchise the business out, but they are not having any luck or takers, sadly these fools are taking orders but have No delivery drivers or infrastructure, its a 3 ring circus... its a total shame and it should not be allowed to go on. They are cheap and nasty. Don't go near them... |
1Cover Comprehensive Travel Insurance
Verified Beware, they don't pay!Firstly, with regards to other reviews, disregard the ones that didn't claim, the only ones that matter for insurance, are the ones where claims are made. We purchased a yearly travel insurance as w… e travel a lot, this was the first time 1Cover and definitely the last. Our flight from Sydney to Dallas was delayed just over 3 hours, the flight into Dallas arrived around 7pm and about 1:30 to get through the US border security, this was enough for us to miss our connecting flight to Cancun, with the next available flight was the next morning. We had to spend the night in the Marriott airport hotel and we also lost one nights accommodation in Cancun, roughly $1'000 out of pocket. I had advised 1cover of the delay and their advice was to keep the receipts and put the claim in when we get back. It was a pretty straight forward claim, so we thought. When we got back I filled out their claim form, proved them the receipts and the info from Qantas about the delay, I was contacted by a young lady who told me our claim was rejected, I asked her how is that possible, its clearly covered. I also asked her to please show me where it says this is not covered, the reply said this, "There is provision in your travel insurance policy for reasonable additional travel, accommodation and meal costs you incur due to an unexpected disruption to your travel that is outside of your control" It went on about longer then 6 hours, I was in Dallas for 12hrs..... It was the typical crap jargon you get from people who don't care, paid to say whatever is on their script, the zero care crap. I replied back and said there was nothing in what they wrote that states why my claim is not covered, what they sent what just typical crap you get from business that abuse their power over the consumer. I had a call from the same young lady, who rudely told me thats the decision.... It peeded me off more because this young lady quite enjoyed telling me this, it was uncalled for. I advised her I would like to have this elevated to someone else to review. I raised the complaint, received an email saying they will review this and get back to me, I had a reply that I am not sure what the outcome was, it stated it was reviewed by " Their" independent board, and their board found the decision from A1 was the right one, but they also listened to the phone call and would pay the claim, I think? But, I have never heard anything back let alone if they are paying anything, this was 5 months ago. I was going to write this review earlier but due to our other travels, US & EU trips, we waited until they were all finished. Its sad to think the consumer is afraid to complain or write a review incase something happened on our travels where these guys would leave us high and dry, I am pretty sure they would have, the decision was not about policy or right or wrong, it was most likely they had too many already this month, so too bad thats our decision..... Fortunately our other trips went smoothly... Our claim was nothing major or a lot of money, but you have to wonder what they would be like if it was more serious and a lot more money, you would be in a lot of trouble with a lot of worry and stress. Keep in mind we had their highest most comprehensive insurance for our type of trip. Avoid these guys, pay a little bit extra for a more reputable company who have better reviews, its too risky with mobs like this for something so important. |
Sunglass Hut
Beware No warrantyI purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses and was offered an additional warranty for $40 in the case they were damaged or scratched with the first 12 months. While on holidays I accidentally sat on one pair … on the beach chair, unfortunately they broke on one side. I returned the glasses to a sunglass hut store where the lady gave me the insurance brochure info and said call this number. I called up and was told to email through the docket and they will send a credit voucher back. I did this and was told they will get back to me within 3 days. Yes day 3 I got a reply to say they have finished their review, that’s all…. I have emailed them every day and they reply, their review is finished, Yes I know but what? It’s obvious they don’t pay claims, it’s nothing more than a scam, they didn’t even ask for photos of the damage. The company Sunglass Hut uses for their insurance is called Asurion, who have had a class action against them where they lost. My claim is 100% legit and complies to their policy, but Sunglass hut use others to blame and won’t do a thing. I am at a loss to understand how this can be legal, it’s nothing more than a scam. I will never buy sunglasses from these guys again, keep the $40, back to the small retailers for me… |
Cruise Guru
Verified Zero care, book direct and cut out the middlemanTo their reply below, its been 14 weeks and you still haven't given the points. You guys jump off the back of Qantas with false advertising. You have zero intention of paying the points, you cannot ev…en answers you phones or return emails. Rather then writing your crap reply, why don't you do some real customer service and reply to us or better still pay the points.
As for the positive reviews on here, 90% of them are fake, they are pretty obvious, there is No content in them.... There are many companies that write them for a fee, you guys obviously use them..... Maybe its time Product Review puts a stop to them before the legit ones like me and others stop writing real ones. Why allow house businesses like CruiseGuru to rate so high based on crap reviews...... Honestly they are hopeless with Zero customer service, fact...
These guys are nothing more then any online cruise or booking agency. Yes you will get your confirmation sent through after you pay, but thats it.
They are nothing more then a middleman who has less rights then you have, when they book your cruise through the cruise company.
When we tried contacting them about our cruise, and also an additional cruise they didn't reply for about 1 week. When you call you are on hold and things are busier then usual so delays. Its easier to email them back but sadly they have your booking and now only care about future ones. It is a company full of sales people and No customer service people.
We also paid about $11'500 for our cruise, these guys promote under the Qantas banner - Cruise Guru, they falsely advertise how they give one Qantas point per dollar spent, bad news on this, they don't honour it, and good luck on getting them, they blame Qantas and Qantas says its Cruise Guru.
Be wise, and just book directly with the cruise company, if its cheaper you will find they will match it, and don't be stupid like we were, and fall for the Qantas points gimmick. |
