Kogan.com
Fraudulent companyWe bought 2 quality brand products from Kogan/Dick Smiths recently a $900 Pixel phone and $200 Jaybird headphones. Both products turned out to be faulty, and I have since found out that Kogan buys fau…lty 'grey-market' products from 2nd hand sellers overseas and then sells them as 'new' in Australia. Phone shutdown and never turned back on, and headphones would not pair. Kogan's customer service does everything possible to make it hard to return or get a refund. Essentially it is a fraudulent business and I just want to warn people from buying anything from Kogan (& Dick Smiths, which is now owned by Kogan) |
Moto Guzzi V7 Special
Beautiful & Loads of characterBest looking bike I've ever owned, loads of character and a pleasure to ride through the mountains. Good torque, excellent build quality, great handling and very comfortable to ride. But it does have …some notable imperfections. The rear suspension is pretty average so I replaced mine already. The engine braking is great on open road but less great in city traffic. The gears are also quite agriculture, although having a 6th gear makes cruising at +100km a breeze at only 3500 rpm. Also it is a cold-blooded beast so needs a minute or too to warm up before it will perform as it should. I love it but maybe not for everyone |
Google Pixel 2 64GB
Great screen and photosHad it for a year and it's been a very good phone. Camera is amazing, screen is excellent, software is swift and smooth. Everything just works as it should. Simple and stylish, not to big or small ,an…d fits in the hand well. Battery life is standard and sometimes it won't recharge properly. Wish it still had a headphone jack, but dongle works ok and sound quality is excellent. Generally very happy and will buy other pixels in future |
Microsoft Surface Book 2 1TB/Intel Core i7 - 16B RAM (13.5")
Very Buggy Given How Expensive It WasBought this laptop to run my business and it has been surprisingly buggy and error prone given its premium price and flagship status. Turning screen on and detaching screen are constant problems. Left… clicking on trackpad is unreliable. Accuracy of the pen is terrible and not professional standard for my work. Scaling issues with a second screen through the very expensive MS dock also not good enough for professional work. Text looks horrible on a second screen. Always have problems trying to print. Even have trouble logging in. Face recognition only works half the time. Laptop overheats doing simple tasks like taking notes with pen for work and don't even think about playing games, it will stutter and stall on even simple games like FIFA 18. I've tried dealing with Microsoft to fix or resolve some of these issues, but they are useless. Really really disappointed with the Surface Book 2 and think Microsoft have misled there customers about the performance of this laptop. I've had it for a year and have to use it every day for work and it's a constant reminder of how I wasted $4k on a dud laptop when a budget model would have performed better. Won't ever trust Microsoft product again. Avoid! |
