Very bad customer service / so disappointed....
Today I was late for 6 mins for my appointment and lady refused to take my eye test saying another customer will be here soon seriously. I finish my work 2 hrs early so that I can get done my eye appointment.
As soon as we left the store I got the missed call from the shop saying pls comeback the next appointment has been canceled seriously. Why didn't you call the next customer while I was there in the store requesting you to proceed with my appointment.
I am going to share this bad customer service experience with all my colleagues and friends etc...

went in to get a new pair of glasses of the exact same prescription as my current ones, after waiting 2 weeks or so for them they said it arrived and I could not believe what I was looking at. They said its the thinnest lens they can do on this type of frame.
So how can my current lens on my frame be half as thick as the new ones?
They kept on insisting it was the lens shape this and that but most importantly the new lens gave me a headache and the object moves like fisheye lens.
Highly don't recommend getting your prescription lens done here at the Doncaster Westfield place.
Really slow service and poor customer service
Terrible experience with 1001 Optical Chatswood Chase. Ordered new lens for my glasses, they said it would take one week. I ordered on the 7th of January. After 1.5 weeks I called them and they said it's almost done and it should be ready in 1 or 2 days, now it's been more than 3 weeks and it's still not done yet. I've tried calling multiple times today and there's no answers. Not sure what's happening with my order and can't even reach them by phone. If you need new glasses quickly, probably best to avoid this shop.
I had a terrible experience at Parramatta store. The manager Kevin was very rude and unhelpful. He was abrupt and refused to help us saying I have to serve other customers while he had no other customers. His attitude was disgraceful and I would not recommend them to anyone.
3.7 mm thick unpolished high index lenses. Why is it So?
Think twice before buying from 1001 Optical! Good initial price on Oakley frames. Told my Script didn’t require the highest Index lenses even though I wanted them. So as suggested, Hoya lenses, best focal point, index rated 2nd best! I’ve had them in my last Oakley glasses and they were super light and thin. Frames were Titanium so wanted to keep them light. On Pickup I could not believe what I was presented with! Glasses so thick and heavy! With no polished edges! How can it be they were over $1000 Aud and more than twice as thick as my last ...Hoya lenses! They tried to blame this shoddy workmanship on the type of frames they were! Never go there I waited nearly a month to be disappointed. Hoya have always made a good product but you cant trust this company!
Don't buy online, they steal your money.
They don't give refunds even if they say so. Don't buy online. They will not give your money back. They will say yes we will give you a refund, no product sent to me but they took my money anyway. They rob you online.
I received a text message saying that I can avail $35 coupon as a gift for my upcoming birthday. However, upon visiting the store, one of the team members said that I can't avail that offer because the link was invalid. Why invalid link is sent to customers if we can't avail that offer. Is it simply to drag us to the store and spend?
Stay Well Away
Worst service ever. I went in to pick up my son's glasses and first I get told they haven't come in, then someone else comes out from back and states in fact they have come in. When I receive my 2 for $199 glasses there was only one pair. When I questioned where the other pair was I was told I only asked for one pair which was clearly not the case. I explained we had purposesly chosen the 2 for $199 range so my son could have one pair at school and one at home but they just ignored me and said I had misunderstood. They had already charged ...me an additional $160 for the lenses as they weren't single vision and they said to get the 2nd pair there would be another additional charge. So I walked out paying $200 for one pair of frames(which had clearly been advertised as 2 pairs for $199 single vision) plus $160 for one set of lenses - a complete rip off! Go to Specsavers!
What a joke
After years of wearing cheap glasses from overseas, I decided to splurge and buy an expensive pair again as my eyes were getting sore from the cheap lenses.
Spent weeks hunting for the right pair of frames, and was very particular about which lenses I bought. After picking everything, the rep pushed and persuaded me into getting UV protection. I had 2 reservations:
1) why do I need it? When I wear contacts and before I worse glasses I didnt have it, why should I add it in?
2) my classmate has them and they tint the lenses yellow, which she now...
Waste of time
First time i ever order predscription glasses online took over an hour to carefully choose frames lenses and relieved to had finally placed order then recieve email cant order multifocals omg why tell me after not happy no refund as yet grrr
Recently lost my progressive glasses and needed new ones. Went to the store for a prescription and examination. Everything was measured up and then was told to wait 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, went back and tried on the glasses. The glasses were so bad I thought it was a joke and took them back. Was told that the pupil measurements were wrong and that one of the lenses would have to be remade. Another two weeks. Glasses arrived and tried them on. Not much improvement. Was told it would take time to get use to them. (had no problem with previous gla...sses. After a week of frustrating use ( i couldn't even find focus on my phone or watch TV without the edge being out of focus.) I got rid of them. Had a friend order a pair from overseas where I got my last pair from my old prescription and had them a week later. Perfect vision. 1001 Optical are hopeless, non professional. The optometrist stumble over her words as she tried to make excuses as to why my glasses don't seem to work. A total waste of $550. If you respect your eyes, don't go there.
Selling scratched glasses and charge for minor repairs
Sold me 2 pairs of scratched sunglasses and no refund of course. Also wanted to charge $4 for a minor repair that any other store would do free of charge regardless of where I purchased the glasses. The staff are not friendly unless you are spending a lot of money. Once you have made your purchase they couldn't care less if you are happy with your purchase or if there are any problems with your glasses. I do not recommend this store (Chatswood Chase)
Biggest rip off
“30% off” in reality means they mark so far up, that their “sale” price far exceeds the RRP if you buy online. Never again, what a rip off. The frames I bought were priced at in excess of $500 at their store in Bondi Junction - you can buy online for under $300. Don’t be like me ... do your research people!
Why did I ever go there.. at the Chatswood Westfield store, the optician was a very obnoxious, immature and disrespectful. Rude to the core and extremely unprofessional. Definitely need to go back to school to learn manners and etiquette in conducting oneself in a professional environment especially in a field where a person has to deal with people who come for a particular service. Only hope he got the prescription right and would get my lenses correct. May be owner needs to think twice before hiring such unsuitable people. Suggest that they r...eplace this person before loosing loads of business. Over the years have gone to several eye care places and the opticians were so very respectful during the eye test. Sales staff cold as ice, never smiles. As if it would cost a pair of expensive glasses to smile. Pretty pathetic. Once I get my glasses would never go there again.
Extremely poor customer experience from the Hornsby Store
First time getting glasses through 1001 after changing insurance providers and got the 2 pairs for $199 same as what I had previous got through Spec savers. Not even 3 months later 1 pair of the lens fell out and the 2nd pair the rubber pad came off. I went into the Hornsby mall store ground floor where the store manager told me they would need to send off so left the glasses there. Three weeks later when I went into pick them up and was questioned by the store manager Joon Kim whether I had actually given them my old glasses. After having ...to explain several times he told me he would have to send them back off to get the prescription lenses . Instead of apologizing which would have been appreciated he argued and insinuated that I was lying and then had the cheek to say "no need to get angry". This is coming from the Store Manager who was extremely patronizing, one of the worst customer experiences I have encountered. Needless to say I will only be returning to get my glasses and putting in a formal compliant.

I got my prescription glasses some months ago, but I think I got the wrong color, I ordered a green one but got an orange one, know I should have taken it back the first few days, but I just want to know if they can change this eyeglasses?
