Cancellation of your subscription
I joined the program for the 8 week challenge. I picked the 3 months subscription. I didn't realise that you actually had to tell them you wanted to cancel. They charged my card for another 3 months and won't refund the money even though I have cancelled and won't use their service. It is a lot of money when you are on a tight budget as it is. I guess this is their way of making money easy. They should give you the option of refunding the money.
Please be aware of cancellation!!
Hi everyone this is just a warning about cancelling your account! I did the program for a month, it was ok but I decided to cancel as it wasn't for me. I after seeing all the reviews where people mentioned they kept getting charged even after cancelling, I decided to call the bank to make sure it was blocked. I am SO GLAD I did. The lady I spoke to told me that this company is on their list of companies is known to do this and they get several calls from people asking to block them after they kept being charged. She advised that even if she pla...ced a block on this company on my card, in other cases the company has then used a slightly different company name which means it is not prevented from taking money out due to the block. So I am writing this to make people aware of this. I was actually advised to cancel my card which I did. I am not saying people should take that step but I just want to give people the heads up to make sure you call the bank once you cancel to ensure you don't keep getting charged. I hope this helps!
Only used exercise program
I had the introductory deal through Bupa but won't continue with it as $60 a month too much to pay when not overweight and not using any of the food recipes or following the diet, however I may try some at some stage especially the snacks. Problem is my partner wouldn't want to eat the food so too hard even though I'm not overweight it does look healthy. I could certainly follow the exercise program which I quite liked except for the music. I turned the sound down and put my own music to it through you tube although the phone app seems...to have a way to use music through itunes but I think you have to pay for the music. I love Sam and appreciate what he's doing. I would have liked a bit more cardio as I didn't really sweat once even when I didn't have any rest between excercises and still had my fleece jacket on at the end of the workout (It has been cold though!) Maybe I need to work harder. To be positive though, I do think my strength improved as he does a lot of exercises supporting your own bodyweight and even not following the eating plan I have definitely toned up my arms and lost inches off my waist however I do extra cardio as well as his program. I'm going to miss him all the same, hope he keeps up the fb workouts and just wish the program wasn't quite as expensive.

Not for me but would recommend
Sam is a very likeable and genuine guy. Great that he offers various levels of fitness level work outs but I didn't find them inspiring as same music every day. The diet didn't appeal to me as mostly salads and it's winter and most of the produce was out of season. I know a few people that have had amazing results with this program so would recommend - also the price is very reasonable for all that you do receive, just not for me.
Jury's still out
I'm not overweight, am a senior and have been working out since I was in my 20's so reasonably fit. I only do the low impact version as I like to look after my knees and ankles but not enough cardio for me and no real weight training and when weights are used they're used quickly, not controlled. Also one of the low impact workouts he has running in it - and yes, I know I can modify it but.... The exercises seem to just repeat themselves week by week. I thought they'd be different each week but not sure, maybe they'll change next month. Als...o food must cost a fortune as does most 'healthy' eating so being a retiree I'm not even going to attempt it but will try to limit the wine and sugar! I have a big library of exercise DVDs and online trainers that I follow and prefer as I can vary it more. Having said that - I do like his personality and will keep doing the program for the 3 months complimentary through BUPA and see if the exercise alone does anything as just need to flatten the old age tummy a bit! I think if people follow it religously with the diet program it would work and 28 minutes is definitely achievable for anyone. Just pricey with the health food.
Good but not realistic or sustainable
The food is tasty, the workouts are good and the program is effective. Positives out the way the program is unrealistic in terms of cost and time. All food is fresh veg and herbs and gourmet ingredients. We normally spend $250 a week on groceries for a family of 5. Since doing 28 we are spending $450 a week. Completely blows the budget.
The other problem is time. We spend all our spare time sourcing, prepping and cooking food. A recipe thats says 20 minutes prep will be closer to an hour.
This may be good for a stay at home Mum with tons of money but for the rest of us it can't be maintained.
