Hey guys, can anyone tell me how long the cards take to be precessed and arrived?
I leave in 8 days and hoping i get my card in time, i applied this morning
My relative just applied on-line and got approval immediately. He rang 28 degrees the answer was between 5-10 working days. They said the card would be dispatched the same day it was approved and if you live in Victoria, you would receive it even quicker.
Hope this help
Hi guys i just successfully applied for your card but had some questions that I hope you will be able to answer.
I am going on a trip to Europe for just over a month visiting the following countries
Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Russia, Latvia and Poland
I plan on using the 28 degrees card the entire time I am there without withdrawing cash from an ATM will this be possible and is there any other fees I should be aware of ?
Complimentary global wifi ?
Are there any hidden charges to gain access to the hot spots etc .?
Hi, i am using my 28 degrees card in the UK, for some reason it works with a signature instead of a pin, but there are shops that wont accept it because of that, what do i do in order to use the card with a pin without signature?
thanks a lot
Hi, can anyone help me with how to add a PIN to my 28 degrees Mastercard? I received the card yesterday and activated it over the phone (i really don't want to have to call again), but adding or updating the PIN is doing my brain in...
Login online and you will be able to add pin or change pin from the my account .
I have done it online. Play with it and you will find it
Unless you are the additional card holder then you must call up to add pin

I have learned somewhere that I can load more funds into my card without a fee. Bpay charges a fee but I understand that there is another method. I have got nothing but nonsense from the ill-trained and unhelpful LIVE CHAT people and this subject does not come up in any search through the meagre online information
Any help would be appreciated.
it's a credit card, not a debit card, so i doubt that is effective other than to pay down the already accrued debt and thus leave you the full credit margin for expenditure
you can i guess use "pay from my bank account" manually, cognisant of perhaps a 3 day delay in seeing the funds show up
but it's a credit card - so loading more funds gains you nothing that paying the same money when payment is due will accomplish, and loses you the opportunity to have that extra funding in an interest earning situation (or offset) until you need to settle the monthly total
I won’t to put some money on my daughters 28 degree credit card as a surprise. What’s the easiest way to do this as I have her card in which I want to deposit onto, but no statements or any other details? Can I just walk into Australia post with the card and put cash on it? Thanks.
28 Degrees is a CREDIT CARD, not a DEBIT CARD and is not designed for getting cash advances whilst overseas. When the card first came out, I was able to do this. But they stopped that some years ago and you will be charged interest on any cash advances you take out through the card. Get a Travel Debit card from the likes of Qantas or NAB etc for getting cash out overseas then load it up with the relevant currency.
I am interested in exchange rates....what are these based on for 28 degree card?
Check the providers website, but usually most cards like 28 degrees exchange is based on xe.com then they make their profits by 3 main means, very clever/greedy one is from interest if you don't pay on time, the other is from their new charge fee when you do pay, then they make even more money trading your debt in foreign money exchange markets from minor fluctuations during the currency trading day using their customers spending habits with foreign countries.
SO the more debt you accumulate the more they have to 'play' with your debt.
can the 28 degree card be used in italy and croatia?
Robyn It can be used in Italy in fact major Italian retailers in Milan will willingly accept your 28 Degrees Card even if you aren't the legitimate card holder and you aren't present as we discovered. Following a little incident and contact with their Indian Call Centre, you wont get to speak with an Australian, we discovered the cardholder details were changed the credit limit upped and the card cloned and shopping in Milan in the space of 24 hours. The people shopping in Milan or someone in their call centre then extracted $10,000 from our business account so they could go shopping again.
I had used their personal payments portal on their website to pay the monthly dues the first few times this was done I had to input all the data myself, Debit Account No, amount etc, the last time I paid the account the data was there already, they store your data and it appears it is open and accessible to all, it is certainly not secure. My partner now has a disputed $14,000 dollar debt hanging over her head. 28 Degrees are most unhelpful with this they will not communicate with us. They were super quick to give us back the $10,000 from the business account we suspect as they knew they were in the wrong. Be very careful with 28 Degrees and their card sign up for it at your own peril there are other options, Citibank has a card that can do all 28 Degrees can.
How do I contact 28 degrees by email (I am working overseas)
I dont have an email address, only these contact details;
Within Australia call 1300 552 079
When overseas call +61 3 9445 0189
Contact us on Skype1 (limited to voice calls only)
Contact us on Facebook
Contact us on Twitter
Fax 1300 369 905
I dont wish to be rude but "Good luck" with that one, you wont find an email address anywhere in fact other than using their Indian Call Centre "Dont" all calls to their 1300 number go through India, you may get stung, they are extremely difficult to contact. Our contact with them over a fraud we found them to be unwilling, evasive and unhelpful everything was directed to India. Good Luck. If you consider using snail mail they wont reply unless it involves a debt you owe them. We even wrote to their senior management about our matter and ares still awaiting a reply a month later. Nothing.
I have a 28 degrees credit card and it has a "pay pass " signal on it. If i pay pass a purchase, is the transaction treated just like purchasing on credit, or is it treated as a debit transaction?
So what is the 95c that is charged? How do you pay your bill for free. If you pay the full
amount owing after your holiday are there extra charges?
The 95 cent fee is for, I'm told, third party payments. Basically you need to pay the card off through the 28 degrees website. You are prohibited from paying more than you owe, thus preloading your card for cash teller withdrawal when overseas and using it as a cashcard will cost you 95 cents for the privlidge. I queried this with their customer service department because Paypal and outward going Bpay are also known as third part but they somehow allow it. The card has lost its advantages and its new parent Latitude Finance unfairly put in a sneaky fee, Its a terrible insult when you are penalised for actually paying off your credit card. Its a fee that should never be allowed in Australia.
The 0.95c fee if you pay by Bpay is a processing/handling fee as you are using a 3rd party ie your bank or another bank. It used to be that you could pay it directly through your own institution, they took that away so you have to use their Bpay facility on their website or use their personal payment portal in the same location be careful here though if you use the persona payment portal, they store your personal banking data and it is not secure it can be compromised as we discovered to our detriment. Its just another sneaky practice to make money. They are not trustworthy.
How can I get a 28 deg. App on my iPad?
As far as I can see there is no app. I just google 28 degrees and go to the login page. I then save this to my home screen. You can look at your accounts online and I then just BPay the account when it is due ( in full).
