Easy to save money when using it overseas or to by from online OS
Used on many holidays overseas. So easy .no problems ...saved a lot of money ..
I find it easy to pay online .
Only problem I have is ...I want to change my name on my account..back to my Maiden name ...I was told i need to use snail mail ...i want to do it online please
Can’t get it right
After having fraudulent charges put on my card, you fixed it and then you put more charges on my card, you fixed again and then added more charges, you fixed it again and the added more charges, so I have asked you to fix it again and then cancel my card.....I have no trust in your ability to offer a credit card.
It works well but it's annoying how hard it is to pay my account which wasn't an issue in the past
I like the features the card has including international usage and shoppers protection etc
My frustration is that it's hard to pay off the card to the exact cents owed and not a cent more and that I have to wait 5 days between transfers which is annoying when i want to pay off the card before the cut off date. they also charge fees using alternative methods. It's also annoying that they don't make it clear you can pay your account over the phone, not that that's totally easy that way either
No problems, great service
I lost my card overseas and had no problems replacing it. Has been fine to use at home and overseas. When I had some extra items on my transaction list they investigated and removed them. No conversion fees for currency conversion was the main reason I chose this card.
Latitude 28 Degrees Mastercard
No annual fee and no currency conversion fees, which have saved me quite a bit of money for my small business. But for a while my card was being turned down for no apparent reason when buying online. Then I would receive a text asking for personal information which I would NEVER give in a text. So when I didn't give the information, the transaction wouldn't go through. Lately though, that seems to be replaced by a code which is sent promptly and the transaction immediately goes through. I have used my card overseas and didn't have any prob...lems with it. At one point during the Pandemic, I had transactions on my statement which I had no idea about. I phoned, couldn't get through, I tried to email - no email address, so I actually had to write them a letter and post it! Apart from that very annoying episode, all good!
LOST & Stolen card hotline number
I have been on phone for the past one hour trying to reach their team as there are some suspicious transactions on my card. Appears that they have outsourced it and using VOIP service. The line constantly drops after connecting within 5 seconds. I have had 8 attempts so far & still trying .. And the staff member on another end would not bother to give a call back as well.
A reasonable all rounder
I obtained the card in Jan, 2010. It was originally called Wizard Clear Advantage, then became 28 Degrees then became Latitude 28 Degrees Global Platinum Mastercard. I originally signed up to get fee-free overseas transactions and fee-free cash advances. The latter were stopped a while back so I obtained a Citi debit card for o/s cash advances.
Now that I have ditched other cards because of high fees and now near-useless frequent flyer points, this is my main credit card.
Annoyances are no pay wave, and thus having to insert card and punch in PIN for smallest transactions, plus the ridiculous fee for paying off balance using BPay.
Great, except sometimes their fraud detection is a bit jumpy
The good is no annual fee, interest free period, no fee for currency conversion or international transactions.
Where they could improve is:
* The monthly notification email has no detail. No due date, no amounts.
* The only way to pay the bill with no fee is to schedule a one off direct debit from their site.
* Often they will decide that a legitimate transaction might be fraud, and they robocall you asking for partial personal information and to confirm the transactions.
Exactly what I needed
Perfect for travelling overseas, I've used it all over the world and have had no problems with it. I love that there are no currency conversion fees and it uses a very competitive interest rate.
The app makes it easy to track purchases and make payments.
It also can be used with Google Pay which makes it very convenient!
Poor service when tryign to do a chargeback
Bought somthing that never turned up got no response from seller, tried to lodge a cahrgeback with 28 no option to do this online. Was forced to call call center, terrible call quality, agent blamed working from home.. asked for a call back was told they can't do that. Took almost a month for them to even follow up my claim asking for details of the charge back. Same experience with Amex is you can do it online and they lodge on the spot...
An almost perfect card and company
Used overseas many times without problems. The card was excepted everywhere.
There were no problems with the conversions back to Aussie dollars.
Have recommended the card to my friends travelling overseas.
Tried A number of times to put card on my Apple phone without success.
Great little international card with no annual or conversion fees
I have been a long-time customer of the 28 Degrees Global Platinum Mastercard and used it even back when it was called the Wizard Clear Advantage Mastercard. I have to say it has been handy to manage my money and, provided I pay the full balance at the end of the 60 days, there are never really any fees to worry about. There is no annual fee and no currency conversion fee, making it cheaper to make international transactions without paying hefty conversion fees on other payment services.
