Replacement of broken 200W solar blanket
Originally I ordered a 200W solar blanket from their online store, easy process and delivery 9 months ago.
The blanket stopped working 4 days ago on our trip to Qld. I stopped in at their Gold Coast store today, the guy at the front counter was very helpful, took the solar blanket out the back to test the product.
He came back and said one of the panels was damaged, apologised for the inconvenience and replaced it with a brand new one. Highly recommend stopping in store for this awesome service!
Selling items with known faults instead of issuing recall
Bought VMS unit for 4x4tracks and lasted 30 minutes. Took it back replaced with a new one lasted one hour. Why isnt this recalled when it was a known issue?

Poor quality finish
The awning has obviously been made with the cover completely over the whole mounting rail. Then someone has done a very poor job in cutting the cover to expose the mounting rail, looks butchered! And of course nothing like the picture in the instructions. Try and get the heads of the mounting bolts into the mounting rail, not! Great looking picture of the hardware with all the bolts and washers but no washers at all. In all poor finish and poor quality control.
Brought a tonne of stuff
Went into the heatherbrea I must say at least they had everything we needed sleeping bags by 7, double swags by 3, . 1 by self inflating matters 1 by single kings draw let's just say easy z couple if thousands worth of gear . Customer service is great with the staff they have ( they could do with a few more ) after spending such large amount of money over 2 days on the 1st day wasn't offered the spend this much you can choose from these products after thinking about it wrote to then was told there mistake what would you like I got some thing ....On the second time the promo was still running same thing was not offered I wrote away and was told i saved money in store that's why I didn't get it the only thing i saved on was the freight because I went and collected it myself because There is no difference between the pricing online to the shop only the freight fee was I disappointed by the way I was responded to yes I was especially when we spent so much money over a few days to fobed off like we were and told what we were told and nothing had changed over the time we were there . I will say this the products we purchased have stood up to the test which was good the fold up table's are great quick to set up quick to put away just watch the plastic caps in the end as they do tend to come and the aluminum ends are a little sharp nothing a hot clue gun can't fix All the other gear worked well while away for 8 weeks
Kings Car Seat Organiser
To be fair it does the job.
When it was built though I do believe the person in charge of cutting the metal rod that is inserted through the organiser was asleep or worse, blind. The rod is at least 5cm longer than the space provided.
Excessively slow to refund
I purchased a folding table last weekend from the Dandenong store. The price on the sign on the floor was less than what I was charged on my credit card (they said that they forgot to remove the sale price). Sales guy said that they would honour the displayed price and reimburse the difference , but couldn't do it himself. It had to go through accounts to review and process. Almost a week later I'm yet to be reimbursed the difference. I feel it's taking way too long. Other businesses do it there and then.
I will be returning the product for a full refund if a refund of the difference isn't paid soon.

My battery case was faulty took it to Heatherbra store , they didn’t hesitate gave me a replacement no questions ask ,good store ,curtious,reliable. Thanks for your old fashion service at a good price.
Great products for the price
Have bought numerous smaller products from 4WDSC. Mostly I head into the Gold Coast store and get the best price minus freight. Have about 6 awnings between various vehicles which are all still working perfectly after 4 years including a trip to the Cape using daily. Awning tent, various lights, compressor etc. All work as advertised and great because of the price. Yes we know they're produced overseas and you get what you pay for, but have been pleasantly surprised.
About to bite the bullet on the Kwiky Tent despite the reviews as have been i...nformed there is an upgraded version out now and at the price compared to the bigger better competitors, and as even all the bad reviews show how good their return policy is. I'm willing to give it a chance.
Awesome Tent let down by poor materials
Bought the Kwiky Rooftop tent from the Parkinson Store in May and was super impressed with the design, functionality and amazing customer service ... Used the tent once locally as a test run and then on a month long trip through QLD NSW SA and the NT, Best Tent I’ve ever used as super easy and quick to set up. We were warm and dry despite -5 overnight temperatures. Which makes the recent failure of the materials used even harder to accept .. less than 6 months old and the ABS polymer shell has cracked making the tent useless. This is a great pr...oduct ruined by poor quality materials... the only redeeming thing is the aftersale service. Not sure if it’s because it’s a common fault but with a single phone call and a return email I’m looking at a full refund. Regardless of this I would say DO NOT BUY the Kwiky roof top tent, it’s not fit for purpose and will not last

Product and price are good but apalling aftersales service if something goes wrong - not worth it.
Visited a physical store and ordered displayed products - including a dual rear drawer setup. Because of size and weight they needed to be freighted. Arrived within a week and I set about installing only to discover that one piece had a different screw hole pitch to another piece to which it had to be attached - see pictures. So on Monday I asked for "support" via the website including sending photos. I heard nothing until Thursday evening (by which time I had developed a workaround for the defect) when I received an email suggesting I shou...ld contact the warranty section. Support? Is that what this was. I don't think so. Firstly, it took from Monday until Thursday to get a response - that's way too slow. Secondly, I didn't ask how to make a warranty claim, I asked how to fix what should be a relatively minor problem in the installation process - that's a lack of understanding or comprehension. Thirdly, if it were a warranty type problem, it is completely inappropriate for the "support" element of a company to tell the customer they need to contact another part of the same company - that's simply bureaucratic nonsense to piss customers off even more. They might have good products and good prices but if something does go wrong, after sales support is appalling. We won't be buying again.
I won’t be back- rude and rubbish gear
I won’t be back - If I could give it minus 5 stars I would. The tall bearded manager guy at the Parkinson store in Qld is the rudest most laziest worker I have ever encountered. It’s all just cheap Chinese crap anyway. A set of solar panels with a regulator ruined my brand new 100 amp deep cycle battery because it was charging at over 20 volts.

I have purchased many products from 4WDSC at Brendale. So far they are all perfect.
I have always had a good experience in store & find the staff most helpful. My only negative would be the time it takes to process orders at checkout, but not really a biggie.
My 120 watt solar blanket decided it wasn't going to charge whilst camping a few weeks ago. I took it back to the store & after a couple of hoops to jump through, I was contacted 2 days later & received a brand new one.
Can't beat that.

Well Priced, good quality products
I have lost count of the amount of things I have purchased from these guys, however some of the items include solar panels, rear drawer systems, spot lights, showers, awnings etc etc. All of their products appear to be excellent quality and I have never had a fault with any of the items that I have purchased. Sometimes hundreds of dollars cheaper than their competitors so even if you had to replace an item a couple of years after purchase, you are probably still in front. Love these guys!!
I went to a the local store to make a purchase of two chairs that were advertised on their website for $79 each. When I went to pay for the items they added $15 per unit for freight. I had them in my hand! They said laughingly that if I didn't want to pay freight I could go to their Melbourne store where no freight is charged. Great customer relations this Muppet had. Why advertise a product online for one price only to be told that when you go to the store they add freight? This is a blatant example of false and misleading advertising if I've...ever seen it. Given this experience with the store I personally will never purchase from them due to their unethical behaviour. I could only imagine what they would be like if you had to return any item under warranty or is warranty an extra charge too?
do not shop at heatherbrae store
The incompetent rude staff will leave you waiting and waiting and will not serve you. i had an arm full of items and so did at least 9 other people and they had 3 staff on checkouts and none of them would get off the computer and serve any customers. They were not doing phone enquires or helping any other customers.
No wonder we all shop online mostly, if it was my business i would sack the entire staff and start again
i ended up leaving items on counter, told off the terrible staff and left and purchased items elsewhere.
i will never ever shop in store at Heatherbrae store ever again.
Absolutely stoked with the quality of their products then I keep on buying more!
It originally started off with myself buying a "cheap swag" as money was tight..
3 years later and I still swear by this swag, we just recently ended up buying more gear to add to our "Kings" collection which included a recovery kit, tool kit, rear draws, a throttle controller and a 45lt Kings fridge.
All of these products have been great, obviously some things can do with slight improvements or modifications but you can't complain for the money!
2nd awning to break after barley being used
I Bought a side awning and the poles brokethrough the holes that hold it straight so i returned it to the store as it was inside the 12mth warranty. the replacement awning lasted 1 use and the poles folded in half from a slight wind the 2 awnings next to me didnt move. I called up and was told if i take it to the store it would be replaced. when i went to the store they were really busy and after waiting ages in line i spoke with the staff he wasnt sure and the manager was to busy to help they recommended that i contact the warranty team and t...hey will replace it with out any issue. they also recommended that if i got a new one that they would refund my money within 2 days with out question. I bought a new one and requested a refund they than got back to mea few days later by email and said that they wouldnt refund my money after explaining that i bought a new one on the advice from there staff they didnt reply again. I called back up to try and talk in person from the email who wasnt available but the person on the phone said that it wouldnt be a problem and i would get a refund. i also emailed the other person back requesting a call back and 3 weeks later and i still didnt get anything back from them. when i went to the store again with the broken awning they said that they were waiting on me to get in contact with them, but they would have someone call me tomorrow its now been a week with no call back. over a month later im stuck with 2 awnings and cant get any response from there customer service people.
