Quote for security doors
I rang for quote for security doors, said they would get back to me.
I rang again after a week, was advised it takes 2 weeks or longer to get a quote sorry we forgot to tell you.
I rang another company had 4 doors measured and installed in 10 days.

Door Still Not Fixed after 12 Months of Issues
i've found staff to be very friendly over the phone and in person, however we have had issues with our bifold door since installed over 12 months ago. We have had a number of people out who have fixed it each time but unfortunately issue reoccurs shortly after. I have made a number of phone calls to try to get it fixed but now I'm getting no response. I have been extremely patient.....Can somebody please come and fix the door??

Disappointing quality and poor fitting
This will be second callout, first to replace faulty beading on 4 windows and now to replace 2 windows as has has leaked causing condensation build up.

Trim falling off, double glaze condensation, swollen sill
I have had your representative out three times to repair the trim, on the last occasion, he cracked the outside pane of the double glazing. It took two months for him to return, and only after I complained to my builder. That pane now condenses between the two panes and the sill is swollen from the moisture. I would like it repaired or replaced.

Purchased my new home and every window winder is buggered.
Purchased my new home and all the locks are stuffed, I would say they have been like this for a while and I have acquired the home at 9 years old.
So I went to purchase window locks for my A&L windows as about every window as the cheap mechanism is stuffed. So I called up for Stainless ones as the brass dont last and I probably need at least 15 of them at $55 a pop $825 + GST for locks? not installed and I have more windows. If the operation of the windows is found to be the causation we will replace under warranty even though our warranty is only valid for 7 years. This proves the manufacture backs the product and that's very rare these days. Double glazing
Got a&l double glazed windows on our new build to help block out street noise however it seems to be pointless as we can still hear just as much as ever. Very disappointing as we now have to pay even more for another solution

Bunch of Donkeys!
We have had our whole house fitted with new doors and windows from A&L - what a nightmare! (I'm now about to take my issues with them, to fair trading!) The doors and Windows are poor/average quality! They way they do things such as add-on screens for their louvre windows and sliding screen doors is very poor quality! They cannot get their act together, their communication between departments has lead to them having to come out to my house 4 times. Read more going wrong! They still need to come for a 5th time next week! The Tech guys are pretty good & kind, but somewhere in between the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand and lots of errors and problems are made. When I called the 3rd time (out of frustration about all the ongoing issues at that point), I think the girl could care less and just wanted me gone - when in fact I was the customer who was being stuffed around by them (not to mention losing days of work time in having to be home for their constant revisits due to errors!) + she said don't worry we'll get it all sorted and it won't happen again (I was right to feel not so confident in that comment!) We now are waiting on our 5th and hopefully final visit from them to finish fitting our screens. My impression is that they will also try to avoid completing our service in full too! The list of mistakes and errors and incorrect sizes is endless that I'm losing track on all the stuff ups they've done - it's crazy! Do yourself a favour and stay away - they don't have their act together and their product is pretty below average. I'm just sorry we were lead by our builder to choose them, and now have to live with it all! I fear for what problems we may have in the future as I'm sure they won't be keen to rectify! October 12th 2017 Update: Re bunch of Donkeys! (Follow up response) Thank you for your reply customer service. But to correct what you've written - yes our builders issues left me to arrange things with you re our service & screens but we did have to pay double (again) to get them as well & regardless of this fact, it wasn't what contributed to the issues I had with your service & problems. Also - the small refund given was a refund (not for our issues) but because you charged me for a two man service & a platform ladder - which was never used! I was merely recouping my costs for services charged but not given! Had we of got the platform ladder then maybe the first fit off of our louvre screens would have been done properly without needing to be re-done! To top it off I wasn't even formerly made aware my refund was authorised & only found it whilst going through my bank accounts! It would have been nice for a reply email with a formal apology & an explanation of what the refund outlined! Likewise, if you know my account, a phone call to discuss in person would have been decent. Thanks for the formal reply on this forum, but I needed to reply on this forum as what you put in reply distorts the truth. I build a house about 2 years ago with GJ Gardener which installed A&L Fly / Barrier Screens and its not worth it... Multiple fly screens are pulling out of the sliding doors rubbers all coming loose so I called them last week as it has 7 year guarantee on manufacturing send them the photos and I was told its wear and tear they only guarantee moving parts, you have to go buy some fly screen tool from Bunnings to fix it ....really! This is your bad product!! This is your product guarantee....just not good enough.

Read morers, we are happy to come out and repair those, but as discussed with our sales representative if you would prefer to attempt that yourself, you may need a special tool to push them back in. Sorry to hear that you are not happy with your barrier door. Our barrier products offer a level of added protection above traditional fly screen options, however they are not a security level product and are not sold as such. Drafty Stacker Doors
Have just been in my newly built GJ Gardner house since Dec-16 and with the weather changing to windy conditions here at Goulburn I've wondered why the aircon keeps cutting in. The reason is because the stacker doors have wind billowing through the top of the doors. We have 4 moving stacker doors that translates to 4 off 40mm x 15mm "holes" at the tops that literally blow out candles every night. Appears not enough R&D into these doors where this would have been picked up and remedied with seals.

A&L Windows Follow-up on Warranty.
It has taken six months of persistent prompting and repeated reminders by email and phone - A&L have finally made good their promise to replace under warranty the most recent of three cracked and broken double glazed windows. I'd like to say that we are "satisfied", but given the stress involved the best I can say we are "relieved". Our rating is improved, but honestly I cannot rate this experience as satisfactory because it has been and stressful.
Hang up the phone with no reply
The staff just trying to say "I'm struggle with you voice"but actually I spoke very loudly like shout already. What's more, they said call me back for the service day, however, NO reply, NO contact! Receptionist even hang up the phone! How rude of this behaviour!

We have a house built by Porter Davis with A & L sliding windows & doors throughout the house. We are experiencing issues with sliding windows. All the plastic sliding windows locks are either not working or have been broken while we have tried to unlock and open the windows. Can you please help us with replacement locks? I have a complaint about the service of A&L door.
I ask to replace a rotting wood window frame that is 5 years old.
Lorraine Barnett told me to pay the money for this up front, in October 2020.

Hello, we have just purchased a 6 year old house with A&L locks on all windows. Unfortunately, none of the keys we were given lock/unlock the sliding or windout windows. Is there any way we can get replacement keys? Thankyou Lorraine
