Avan owen ht

great designed van, great for towing and camping....however build quality needs attention as the final product is disappointing.
The only problem is the proctor awning fitted to our van tends to break with any wind ...not a recommended awning.

Very Happy with my A Van Liam 2010

Yes, the boot leaked initially but a little bit of sense and silicon protection and then no more leaking after that. What do you put in the boot anyway? Pretty simple really. I have had no more trouble with my A VAN In fact I find it hard to believe some of these reviews. My caravan was in perfect condition when I purchased it new and after 4 years it still is. If you look after your AVAN it will last a long time. It is roomy, lightweight to pull and tracks very well. I would recommend AVAN to anyone looking for a reliable Van

Good design, poor workmanship.

Poor quality control in factory, cupboard doors not lining up and/or crooked, trimming unstuck in several areas, wheel cover did not fit. Large dirty shoe marks over top of bed base and seat base. Some door locks sticking. Overall, disappointed with workmanship. Our old van (Olympic Sprinter) was much more solidly constructed than this new one.
Good size - had everything we required in a new van.

HT Owen 609 adventure pack 2011 20 ft

Lack of bench space for preparing food is another problem we have found. Skylight needs tinting to stop heat and too bright sunlight coming in. . Blinds very flimsy. Shower compartment could be a little wider.. say 150 mil

We have the Charlotte, same deal, boot leaks!!

And you're still happy with it even having to do all those mods ! I would have thought the majority of them are simply due to poor design

We have had our van for 4 months and have nothing but trouble since day 1. The warranty is a worthless and Avan are not interested in helping once they have the money. We are onto our 3rd A/C, the microwave works randomly, the shelf the microwave is mounted to has come away from the wall. The back of the lounge came free from the wall. The tape on the ceiling joins has split in places. We have never been on a dirt or gravel road but the thing is falling apart. Very disappointing!
Clean lines, roomy layout, modern interior feel, well priced for the features
Poor build quality, no after sales service, front boot leaks alot, power point in odd postions, no 12v power point, wardrobes too shallow

Considering the price of this van we are generally happy. It tows well, has a good appearance and well fitted out. This is our 2nd. Avan as we were very happy with our original purchase. Handled our trip around Australia well and with the battery pack fitted as standard allowed us to do a fair amount of free camping.
We have the Liam HT> Very well priced van. Just completed 20,000 Kms around Aust. towing with Commodore Sportswagon. Towed very well. Well finished and equipped considering the price.
A/C unit failed, replaced under warranty by Dometic.Faulty shower connectoer. No other major problems but just as well as response from manufacturer and dealer (Nth. Brisbane) is negative.

a well priced well built touring caravan for 2 people.have travelled 5000kms so far without any structural or mechsnical problems
good looking, well finished outside.tows great,no sway or snaking. very neat underneath with wiring and plumbing.good 12 volt system standard.excellent blind and insect screen windows
inside could be finished better, but seems well built.lack of cupboard space ,and depth of wardrobes. poor dlivery time of parts from AVAN

Fantastic Van

We purchased a new Charlotte in July 2011. We had it built to our specifications and absolutely love it. It is great to tow and has ample storage for what we require. We were looking for a van for a number of years and wanted one with no canvas but had to have bunks for our children. Avan had 3 options that suited us and the Charlotte was chosen as our 1st van. Growing up around caravans I knew what I wanted and Avan had all the boxes ticked. I would certainly recommend Avan to anyone who is looking for a fantastic van with lots of features and well finished. Good on you Avan, keep up the good work!!
Very styly looking van, excellent value for money, very good use of space.

Well priced van, easily towed, good height from the road, nice European look about it. Brochures should provide more info.
Price is great as is the shower toilet set up. Love the outside look of the van and for a smaller caravan having two axles is a plus
The 'L' shaped dining table is a little too close to the seats and I am not a large person. Cupboard space is a little limited, gas bottles could be the next size up and the water is only 95 litres. Couldn't find any info in regard to the caravan brakes.

Hardtop Series

Avan Aspire 555 2019. The glass section on the door is held place 4 metal clips on the flyscreen section. The top two clips have been separated and therefore not engaging to hold the glass door closed. Its a long way to the dealer so if anyone has suggestions on how to close the clips i would be appreciative.

Thanks in advance
