A bit slow
Our cleaner came in for the first time which needs to be considered however I found her to be quite slow.
She also didn't clean the shower recess floor or wipe down the laundry bench. I told her where the rags were however she didn't use them so I think she may have used other cloths not meant for general house cleaning. She seemed reluctant to ask questions but that could be due to being shy. I appreciated her being sent to us as I really needed a cleaner however for her to have to travel 1.5 hours both ways to do the clean didn't really seem fair on her. I do however understand it's her choice to do that.
Cleaner not up to scratch.
I was so impressed with the booking system but let down by the cleaning job. The cleaner worked slowly and was distracted with personal problems. Such a shame as I was wanting a regular cleaner.
Poor attention to detail.
I would not recommend this company for your end of lease clean. The oven racks and oven still had baked on grease and my shower drain cover was not cleaned.
I would of expected it to be spotless as I went through a cleaning company, I would of been better just to do it myself than pay $200 for 4 hours as I ended up having to re do it myself as I needed it to be
Next time I would use an end of lease company recommended by real estate.
Dishonest and out of pocket
At the beginning of May I booked to get a Spring Clean. I paid upfront for 8 hrs of cleaning. The cleaners left after approx 5 hours. The cleaning was ok but not great. What they didn't know as there was camera surveillance on the front door so I saw when they left.
When I complained to Absolute Domestics I was referred to the sub contractor who asked me to provide time/date stamped images which I did. Then promised to refund the 3 hrs owed and said they cleaners had been given a formal warning. I was only refunded half of what I lost - obvious...
I had a bad cleaner - she gave me a hard time!
I had a number of problems with my cleaner Mel leading up to the actual clean.
She text and called me 5 times before she arrived asking me about parking even though I clarified it with the organisation beforehand. She didn’t pay attention to my parking instructions which were PayStay ticket parking nearby for $3-4 per hour and instead parked in an all day car park and expected me to pay her $50 car parking ( for 1.5hrs of cleaning)
I had arranged a 3hr , $165 clean with the organisation prior. Mel disregarded what had been arranged and said...it would take 7 hours. My apartment is small, very tidy and clean. It has never taken this long. What’s more, this was only a basic clean as well. She went on the give me a hard time, she wasn’t going to let up. The second person with her said I could have a $165 and eventually settled on a $165 clean because this is what I told and had budgeted for. I also gave her extra for parking as agreed previously. This clean however did not include dusting, skirtings, windows, fans, oven as was promised in the initial conversation. It was only basic run over kitchen bench tops eg marks on splash back not removed, bathrooms and basic vacum. Clean was quite good Unfortunately I was told one thing during the Initial ‘sales’ phone call, and Mel had something completely different in mind.
The clean was carried out by a husband/wife team. The husband did the main cleaning which was acceptable.The wife did the floors and kitchen. Floors were poorly mopped.....nothing was moved, chairs etc were mopped 'around'. This was also the case in the kitchen....on the benches, nothing was moved eg. she wiped around the toaster. I would not recommend or have them return.
I was expected to supply overshoes and gloves - neither of which I keep.
House wasn’t really noticeable cleaner.
Bins weren’t taken out.
Floors weren’t cleaned.
Bench top wasn’t cleared of cluttered items.
The only noticeable thing was the sink, which was immaculately cleaned. We did have a laugh at this curious outcome.
Less than one days notice that my house would not be cleaned (regular booking)
I have used this agency for a number of years with mixed success . My last two cleaners have been terminated (satisfactory clean at my end but obviously poor staff management at agency end) by the agency with little warning - most recently under one days notice to me when my house needed to be cleaned. Exceptionally Poor customer service. Told manager would call but of course has not happened.
It wasn’t bad
But the cleaner took a long time and didn’t clean everything we wanted her to clean. And some things were also not that clean.
Booked in a clean, rescheduled twice, in the end couldn’t find a cleaner in Clyde so told them not to bother.
Overpriced. Had to re-clean
I wasn’t very impressed with this service. When they emailed me requesting feedback after my clean, I replied with the following reply (as I don’t believe in taking to writing negative reviews without first telling the company directly to allow them to resolve any issues first), however they have not replied. I have found them to be unprofessional, clearly thinking they’re undeserving of any kind of negative reviews.

Thank you for your follow up calls and email, my apologies for ...not responding sooner. I was planning on contacting you regardless though. First of all, the cleaner I had ([name removed]) was lovely. She was very kind on the phone and from what my partner told me, she was lovely in person also.

Clean was satisfactory however huge lack to detail, cleaners were in a rush to finish.

No training for staff
Just interested in making money. Staff have no training on how to Clean. Would use airtasker instead. At least you can see individual ratings
Unreliable cleaners, area manager couldn't care less.
Had 5 cleaners from this company and most were regularly unreliable. Area manager rude and glib. Explained the cleaners being late or not showing as "a cultural difference they are unable to take responsibility for or control as they employ several thousand."
Not worth the money at all. No accountability from HQ
When you pay $200 for a couple of people for two hours you don't expect to find things not done up to standard. Furthermore, when you call to complain and get told "once you let the cleaners leave it's all over". So once they've finished, literally go through each and every room and do a full audit because HQ will not take any accountability of the quality of service once the cleaner has left. So if you have a 23 bedroom mansion, keep them there for half a day checking everything lol. Totally ridiculous. They couldn't even do a tiny apartment p...roperly. So annoying. But even worse is the lack of post-service customer service. The banks do a better job when it comes to remediating customer issues! Oh, and love having to spend my own money on providing all the cleaning products and equipment on top of it all! I must be an idiot in even trialling Absolute Domestics.
Left me in lurch
I was very happy with the lady who was assigned. Lovely person who did a great job. However, when she left after 3 or 4 months the company was unable to find a replacement. A key reason for choosing an agency was to ensure continuity of service so it was both annoying and perplexing to be left in the lurch especially since I live in a very accessible mainstream area.
Didn't get past the quote stage
After reading some of the good reviews, I tried to get a quote. First person never got back to me. Office followed up with me and agreed to find an alternative franchise to call. I eventually spoke to them (wasn't able to pick up when they called and played phone tag a couple of times) and got some attitude because I asked a lot of questions trying to get a feel for the price and quality. Wanted him to come out, have a look and then give me a quote which was way too hard for him, insisted he would only come over when he was ready to start the job and his quote was verbal and indicative. I thanked him for his time and called someone else that happily provided a better level of service and a great result.

I booked for a 4 hour catch up clean.
I was told an hour before the clean that i was meant to supply everything; not once was this mentioned on the phone to me.
The cleaner arrived on time, and i told her i wanted the following cleaned.
x3 small bedroom floors (vacuumed)
x1 upstairs floor vacuumed and mopped.
Not what I expected.
I'm disappointed with my recent clean. My cleaner arrived with no equipment & I was asked whether or not AD told me this. They hadn't and luckily I was home and able to scrounge up some cleaning supplies. Even though I'd left the supplies til last moment, I expected the cleaner to do an amazing job with what she had. In 3 hours she managed 2 bathrooms, vacuuming and mopping. She dusted but missed entire sections and then broke my vacuum cleaner so the remainder of the work couldn't be done. I'm disappointed to say the least as the time saving clean I thought I'd booked turned into me cleaning most things that she missed.
Cleaner arrived at 8:30 am when confirmed the day prior for 3pm. Spoke on her phone the whole 2 hrs!
8:30 am actually suited better, but it was confirmed that 3pm was the time I could expect the cleaner. She was on the phone the whole time, speaking loudly in another language, checking her mobile whenever she was not on it! She apologised once saying it was a friend who had an accident and needs money from her. Fine, but the whole 2 HOURS...she was on the phone apparently discussing this? She said, that's "why i'm rushing". I was confused. But when she left, I could see how "rushed" everything was! Floors NOT clean. Terrible mop job. Hair all ...around the bathroom edge on the floor, that I had to clean after. I'm not interested in this cleaner coming back free of charge as it was rude and annoying! She did everything one handed while the other held her phone! Oh, and after all the time checking and on her phone - she left RIGHT on time! Not impressed. This is the 3rd cleaner I've tried. Sadly the last one can no longer attend, The first - was late and slow AND also spend time on the phone in another language.
