Atrocious customer service
Ordered a bed head on the 8th March. Still has not been delivered and after 4 emails enquiring after my item I have only been told by Adairs they are waiting for an update from their delivery partner, or that I would be contacted by their delivery partner with an estimated date (was never contacted). Asked for a refund twice, no response. Have had to resort to lodging a dispute with my credit card company to recoup my funds. Avoid purchasing online from this company at all costs.
I recently purchased 2 cushions from Adairs. When I received them they were the wrong product. After contacting Adairs, it was evident that the problem was my problem. I had to either return the incorrect goods to a store or return to Australia. As I am time poor and thats the reason I choose in the first place to order them online, this would be impossible. I am now stuck with 2 cushions I would never have choosen and no help from this company. As there are plently of other manchester companies online I will not be making any more purchases with Adairs.
Sending spam sms
Flooded with unwanted and unwelcome advertisements over sms.

Reported to authorities as spam. Don't remember I was buying from them.
Terrible quality throws
Purchased 2 throws played $236.00 washed them once terrible quality full of fluff am not able to use them to cover couch . Went back to store where purchased would not accept them. Am very disappointed will not buy anything again.

Kmart quality is better and 1/10 price. Never going back. The quilts covers are like bad soggy stuff and sheets look cheap
Bad customer support
I bought 2 bath mats.
I received an email asking me to return as it was faulty. Did all of that and never heard from them.
Sent 3 emails. No response. No refund.
Membership voucher of $20
I was told that if I became a member, I would get a $20 voucher to spend once the gift voucher was sent to my email. But, only found out when I returned to the store, that to use the voucher, I had to spend a another $50 before I could even use the voucher. This was not relayed to me on the first visit. I will not be returning to Adairs again.
Worst online customer service
I Made a big purchase which included a couple of large pictures
I wanted to return one of the large prints
I live in a regional area and they had to arrange for return by courier at my expense. Which I was fine with
I had to call 4 times to arrange for them to find a courier , I was always put on hold
They had to check with a team leader
The team leader was never available to talk to
The last time I called , I was explained the situation and they were very sorry etc
But said “can I just put you on hold “ to talk to my team leader
20mins later I hung up
Called back spoke to someone else ...

Disappointing and Dissatisfied
We purchased a rattan chair and bed in store. The in store service was wonderful; Mary went above and beyond to source and secure our products and she was beautiful to deal with.
$1000 spent (rattan chair and double bed chosen by my daughter) and we received a delivery notification but needed to delay delivery by one week due to being away. This was re-scheduled and we received a further confirmation text nearer to the date confirming delivery. I satiated home. On the morning of deliver, I received a message that there would not be a delivery....I called and was advised that a part of the bed was missing and as such neither item would be delivered. I was advised that I needed to call the store or head office to chase up the issue! I called the store; again Mary was lovely and called head office. The bed order would need to be cancelled as they didn’t know where the missing piece was. I waited for word on the chair delivery. A couple of days later, Mary calls to advise that the chair couldn’t be delivered as there were none left in stock; they had oversold! How did we go from two confirmations of delivery to this? Next I was advised that I needed to now go into a store to arrange and AFTERPAY refund. I advised that this was ridiculous. Mary agreed to call head office again. I subsequently received an email from head office advising that “The reason for my email today is in regards to your order CSOHMAHMA-M002555, I am terribly sorry that this order was overcommitted and was unable to be delivered to you. I have now requested for a full refund to be issued to your original method of payment, AfterPay for your order“

Cheap quality manufacturing
Purchased a coffee table, attempted to assemble and found holes drilled in wrong locations, material to be cheap quality and table rocked (uneven leg length). For $200+ dollars I expected a lot more.
Atrocious Product Sales System
After several successful and happy purchases at Bed, Bath and Table I saw a product at Adairs HomeCentre Maroochydore that I was keen to purchase for my new house. Unlike BBT, I was told that I was unable to buy the product in store as it was "floor stock" and that I would have to order it in but was assured one was ready in the warehouse. Then I found out if I was not a paid member the product would cost me more and I would have to pay extra for postage. After deciding to pay the member joining fee, I was told this particular item could only b...e posted for free (despite the standard free shipping for members) if I was to pick it up from their depot. Whilst I was told the product was indeed in the warehouse and that it would take 10 days to be at the depot (100km from my home) After 16 days and no call/message, I rang to see where my product was and was told it had been dispatched a week after my purchase from an interstate warehouse (not helpful during Covid) and that it would take up to 28 days to receive it as depot items had to be classed as a large parcel which take a standard 28 days. Although I was told it was in transit yesterday, I was still unable to obtain a tracking number as the 'courier company' did not issue them until later?????? with an unsympathetic customer sales person on the phone. All in all, this store has an appalling dispatch system which has completely turned me off being a customer in future!
Adairs Linen Quilt Covers
Two (2.5 or so) years ago I purchased a taupe and a white queen linen quilt cover from Adairs. At the same time I purchased a Sheridan Super King quilt cover. The white queen and the super king have been wash approximately the same amount of times. The Sheridan quilt cover is soft and relaxed whereas the Adairs linen quilt covers are not soft and relaxed but stiff and rather rough to the touch. Why the difference in the quality of the linen? Sadly, I will only purchase Sheridan linen as it appears to be of superior quality.
Service in Epping Vic is below zero
I walked into the Epping store to purchase bed linens just before Xmas. One staff member walked up to me, I thought, great I’ll be served quickly, she walked right passed me without providing any greeting or eye contact, up to a cafe staff member out the front of the Adairs store and commenced to discuss personal topics.
On a second occasion (due to Adairs not having my choice of linen in stock), a staff member in the same store (Epping), preferred to continue ironing linens rather than serve me, waiting at the counter!

Worlds softest sheets
Feels like sandpaper. King size doesn’t fit on standard king size bed. Only just put on my bed and they have a whole in them already.

There own home republic brand Bamboo Sheet set. feel nice in the shop But when you wash them they feel like laying on sandpaper & that's with fabric softner. & the pillow cases & sheets are to big. The saleswoman at the store said give them 6 months to shrink. What a rip off
Do not buy this couch
Imagine paying $70 for a kids flip out sofa for within a year the foam disintegrates and the sofa can no longer be used.
I called and was told I could have a refund if I just attended the store. Only to be told by [name removed] the store manager that she would not be giving me a refund and I had wasted my time. She said that the foam would not disintegrate and accused me of taking it outside. Given it is a grey cover, there is no way I would let my children take it outside. Jarvis Green Throw
Thought I'd purchase this throw to match cushions that I recently bought & love
However this throw continually loses tiny bits off fluff that get in your eyes, face & are extremely irritating & made my eyes red & so itchy. The washing instructions state only spot clean ..I just dont know how to get rid of all these tiny bits of fabric. When you shake it the amount of fluff & tiny fibre bits in the air is a hazard - I'm very disappointed in this throw & wished I'd never bought it.
Extremely slow delivery
Do not order anything online from this company unless you are willing to wait an exorbitant amount of time. I ordered a Christmas tree on the 14th of November. It was not dispatched until the 25th despite the website claiming orders are dispatched within 4 business days. I have been told it will take a further 15-18 business days to arrive. I have received no further updates since the 25th. Christmas is now ruined as I will not be getting my tree in time. Absolutely useless company. There is NO excuse for domestic orders to take this long. Path...etic. UPDATE: I finally received my order exactly one month after ordering it. I ordered the large Jute Christmas Tree and it is very underwhelming. Not worth the time I waited or the money I paid for it. Also came very poorly packaged (half opened and not properly sealed).
Adair’s Doona covers don’t buy them
All Adair’s Bamboo Doona covers with buttons come off and they rip easily on the sides of the doona where you place the actual doona into the cover . One has been replaced but did It again .
Terrible, spent 3 hours sewing buttons on 4 Doona covers. So over it .
Stay away , I’ve been a Adair’s member for quite a while and have spent at least $3000 in there . I finally surrendered and throw it in the bin Moving over to Sheridan now

Why is your customer service so terrible? Why don't you just answer customer questions/concerns and respond in a timely manner? It's easy! Try it.
I no longer have a receipt. However that should not matter given your good reputation. I have a queen size bed sheet. Washed to instructions. It has shrunk and no longer fits on the bed. Could you send a replacement, and I will return the ill-fitting one. Regards Samantha.

Why not just take it into the shop ?!
Hi I am from Townsville Nth QLD i am a member of linen lovers club, i am contacting because i was very disappointed with the last catalogue that was sent out. Upon going to my regular shop at Castletown to purchase several items from the catalogue were not available or had not been received the staff are great at this store, but were unable to help I think it was Very poor business to advertise products and then not have them for the customer to purchase. Very disappointing Adairs
We will never shop at Adairs again, we lodged a complaint some time ago about service and dealing with a staff member with no product knowledge, never received an answer.
