Most frightening shopping trip caused by manager’s action
On Saturday 27th September 2014, my wife and I were doing final grocery shopping so we could make cold meat platters to take to a friend’s place and watch the footy final. We also needed fruit, so we went to Fulham Fresh Fruiterers, this was our first visit there. I picked up a basket however after placing watermelon and rockmelon I soon realised we would require a trolley as we were yet to obtain apples, pears, carrots and the wife decided we should also buy potatoes, etc for dinner. n of getting the trolley, when the manager came up behind me and said in a strange way, “you don’t want the basket”. I said no and was going to say that we need a trolley when in a very rude way told me to put the basket back where I got it and then told us to , “F… off”. That was the exact words he used. Then as we left the store he was threating me, as if he wanted a punch up, all that over a basket? We walked off to avoid any confrontation as he continued to be abusive. I cannot believe a store manager would react like that. I would never be so rude to my customer. Do you think we would ever go back to that store? And you know the old saying about “word of mouth”. What would the owners (The Trustee for G&L Sarris Family Trust 25 Lower Portrush Rd Marden SA 5070) think?
