Melbourne NYE 2018 HORRIBLE
NYE where to start check in process was ok could of been better signed. They said boarding @7pm and departing @7.30pm sharp well that was nonsense, we were still boarding @7.50pm we didn't depart till after 8pm when you first go on the boat your like ok could of been a lot better decorated as it is NYE....... Where's the party, once at the bar they said because its 7.20pm you need to pay for your drinks what the they said the drinks packaged starts at 7.30pm ok then I be back at 7.30pm, once it was 7.30 bloody hell the bar was packed it took ov...er 30 mins to be able to get a drink there was food out & it was like hmm go to get some chips out of the bowl and they were stale come on guys..... We had to unpack the chairs our self's & there was no tables and there wasn't enough chairs I was like please get better. Then the young guy making the food omg your got to be kidding no gloves handling chicken then fish then mushroom ball and then sandwiches no washing of hands come on where is his food handling cert: the food was disgusting wasn't eating that. By 9.30pm everyone seemed to be happy as no one could change it until 10.00pm the bar ran out of ice, pepsi-coke your got to be joking the bar guys said sorry there's nothing we can do but we have vodka fine ill have a vodka and raspberry they go to poor it and said sorry we are out of lemonade your f kidding me fine ill have vodka and club squash that was nasty everyone was getting very mad at the bar guys I went back up to the bar and asked if there was another boat coming with coke and they said yes we are meeting up with the second boat to get soft drink and I said ice they said no ok at least we were getting something but it didn't help the drinks were hot and disgusting the beer and apple cider were warm no one was happy every one was getting annoyed then we found out the first boat there was 212 people on the second boat there was 80 people no wonder we ran out of everything we were over crowded way to many people than the other boat. For an event that has been running for years this should of been ran a whole lot better if you say all food and alcohol for 5 hours and you get to see 2 lots of fire works make sure you can deliver you should have this down pattern by now but I guess not what a joke of a company. Afloat cruises no go... There's so much more to say but ill be here for hours... Everyone should get half there money back....

Disgraceful and a real con
My sister was visiting from Scotland and this trip was meant to be a highlight of her holiday!! The barge was not fit for purpose. Very little seating, overcrowded and was quickly apparent that we had been conned. This company should be investigated. Can't imagine how they have a license to operate. Fortunately we decided to get off before the thing sailed along with several others but our Hogmannay was effectively ruined. Still trying to contact The company to negotiate a refund. Reporting them to the Tourist board and also consummer rights.
Overpriced NYE Brisbane cruise
Very disappointed with the food not many food choices and we were asking for food to be brought up deck all night. The fine print says subject to seasonal availability, well, chicken wings, lamb kebabs, fetta & spinach triangle (to name of few) are not seasonal and are readily available in stores. We paid $200 through Scoopon and redeemed through you and this price according to your advertisement was half price. If that was the case, how come I can buy tickets from the same boat cruise for $145 per adult. Should have gone there in the first place. False advertising and a rip off by Afloat Cruises. First lesson learnt for 2018 Beware of Afloat Cruises.
Perth NYE 2018
Extreme disappointed , boat was old and grubby, told to check in at 6 pm, when arrived given a ticket and told to come back at 7 pm arrived back got on boat and sat on the ward for a further hour and had to pay for drinks whilst docked, the all inclusive food and open bar was somewhat misleading , very limited food, there were three girls serving the limited food we’re also observed eating the food, when approached they replied “ we are just hired staff” didn’t care, two bar staff coped the brunt of everyone’s disappointment with the very limi...ted availability of alcohol ( no red wine, 2 choices of beer at a time, vodka , gin and 1 other sport , 1 white wine) and this was an open bar !!!!! The male bar person worked his guts out . The poor DJ couldn’t run his lights whilst playing music as if he did the fuses would blow! He did a great job under stressful circumstances , didn’t see any 9 pm fire works and position of boat for midnight did not support a good view, there was no build up to a countdown , toilets overflowing, the company were lucky the crowd to make the most of a bad situation , some passengers did ask to be returned to the ward and were refused , overall an absolutely disgusting set up for money spent STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!

Disgraceful and falsely advertised!!
From start to finish this was very disappointing!! The booking was way over complicated...the boat was so badly set up there was not enough chairs for people and the boat was over crowded! There wasn’t a table to sit your food or drink on! Included in this package was supposed to be a lot of food choices and ALL alcohol!! This was not cheap at $500 a ticket and that was at a discount price. As there was four of us we paid $2000 for what we thought was going to be an outstanding night having read the description advertised! However it was quite ...the opposite, the food to start with was very poor and there was only enough for half the people on the boat and there wasn’t even paper plates to put your food on you had to use your hand or if you were lucky enough you got a napkin! The drinks package was an absolute disgrace....They ran out of everything I had one glass of Sauvignon blanc white wine and went to get a refill to be told there was none left, I went on to ask for absolute vodka to be told I had to pay for...I was given a different type of vodka and took one mouthful and it tasted like I was drinking the water from the harbour we were sailing on it was not drinkable..the boat was from 7pm until 1am this should not have happened they should have been able to cater for everyone on board as there was easily over 100 people on board who all paid a lot of money!! Anyone we spoke to on board were all complaining of the same thing!! The only Good thing about the night was the view of the fireworks, the DJ’s music and the company we brought ourselves. It really was a HUGE expensive let down!
Horrific experience, 100% false advertising, barely any food, warm beers, poor service and some very rude staff, vile toilets that weren’t refreshed or cleaned, huge queues for the bar and toilet, and the boat even managed to find a spot on the river where we couldn’t see the fireworks, quite laughable really, don’t waste your money, you’ll have a much better night if you stay at home.
Terrible food and bad organisation
We did a NYE cruise. Firstly, the process of getting people onto the boats was poorly managed.
Secondly, the food was absolutely awful. What was advertised on the flier sounded great but what we got was cold, greasy fried stuff and patties party pies and sausage rolls.
Boarding was very frustrating and disorganised.. ran out of drinks coke soda water brandy etc by 10.30 on nye cruise .. disgraceful... food was very few and far between and you had to go downstairs to get it.. no service.. for $399 per head we did the lady cutler last year for $170 per head but paid for our drinks but was a much better nye cruise...Ruined our nye to be honest.
Waste of money
2017 NYE cruise in Perth, total misleading in what you actually receive. Will never ever book or recommend anyone to these people. Boat is old, staff are young and just didn't care, 30 minute line up to receive drinks, very little food. For the premium price you pay you would be better throwing your money out the window. Very disappointed!
OK cruise, ruined by the abysmal DJ
I would think that for what is a floating club for five hours on NYE that the DJ would have been at least passingly good. The music selection was out of date 10 years ago, and kept playing floor clearer after floor clearer. I think the nutbush line dance was one of the lowest points. Also apparently this is an all ages thing so get ready for 12 year old making requests. Not seen so many people sitting around looking bored when they should be celebrating. Good cruise, lovely staff, OK food and steady supply of drinks. All round, pretty poor excuse for a NYE event.
New Years absolutely Terrible. Never Again.
Firstly it took forever to check in.
The boat needs major upgrading very old and almost falling apart. The food was digusting not much choice and their wasnt enough left starving. There were way to many people onboard and staff were not very well trained and never provided great service. If it wasnt for the music and disco lights the experience would have been even worse. Absolutely a waste of time and money.
I was so excited to spend a new years eve night on the river, with spirits, wine and beer included. What a total let down. I read other reviews and thought they can't be right, but yes! they were. We had to wait 45mins for our first drink, the cruise was overpacked with people and understaffed. 30 people walked off the cruise before it departed, after an hour I wished I had. There was limited seating, limited food and a complete waste of money, plus most of the alcohol you had to pay for and was not included in the ticket price as promised. At ...9pm I'd had enough, and prayed it would dock. Didn't get to see the 9pm fireworks as promised. My prayers were soon answered as they ran out of alcohol and had to get more stock. The biggest relief was getting off this cruise and finding somewhere else for new years eve. I'm glad I didn't stay on board as the rest of our night was fantastic. Disappointed and it was made apparent that this company just wants your money.
My friends and i went on the 21st october for moonwalk its was good but the food was cold and not what its saying on the website.we paid extra 10.00 for photos and to meet the cast but we didnt get any.no information from staff how to do the photos or meet the cast .
The boat could have more decorative to stand out .
But apart from that its all good
Dont Waste your Money -Misleading
We booked the Melbourne Dusk cruise and from the add in a NUTSHELL , there words, includes a Buffet Breakfast ,smoked salmon pancakes, mini cakes ect ect. Instead we got to line up for 30 minutes to proceed to a window to have one small plate handed to us from a window with food straight from Woollies freezer. Absolutely Misleading a Buffet is a buffet , help yourself to an assortment of goodies.
If you sat outside to enjoy the scenery and fresh air you could not here the commentary as there where no loudspeakers outdoors, all you could here ...
