Aldi 12" saw.
Bought Aldi garden line chain saw 12" have had 3 years I've cut Cyprus trees 40' up in cherry picker all day long you need a dependable saw doing that type of work. Take it with me when I camp I have a stil saw bought Aldi one for back up works just as hard as stil. I find if you run 50 to 1 petrol oil no probs. Also you've got to tune them properly they don't come that well tuned cheers.
Works well so far
Same experience as the last reviewer. Once I started it the first time (the instructions are pretty bad) I have used it to cut 2 big gum trees and it has not missed a beat. I empty the chain oil after each use just in case. I have started it first time (after the initial go) every time and after running out of fuel also. Big green gum trees (50cm diameter) are now piles of firewood. Chain brake feels a tad cluncky but seems to work. Chain oil might be set wrong or a bit blocked too but I will set it again next time. Chain still sharp aft...er 4 hours work on green wood so happy with that. Chain tensioner is weird but nor problem yet. Fuel and Oil caps seem flimsy. Blew smoke for first quarter of a tank but runs well except revs hard when its about to run out of gas (normal). Use the brake please people...
Questions & Answers
How does the oil get to the blade? I can't find any sign of oil coming through. Ive taken the bar off and cleaned everything but still can't see where the oil is supposed to come from.
