Worse insurance company ever
Bought a new car then hit a roo 3 months later tried to make a claim only to find out my policy had been canceled by allianz the same day. No emails, no calls or letters in the mail. DONT TRUST THEM!!!!

i let my insurance policy of an agreed value roll over into the new year
i had an accident and my car was a write off and i discovered that they devalued my car by 40% in 12mths
i spoke to them about this and i was told i agreed by continuing my policy with them
i never agreed to devaluing my car , i agreed to keep it insured with them by letting it roll over and not going to another insurer
they would not review this nor do they have an internal dispute department
i would never touch this insurance company again ever and i will never recommend them either
dreadful customer service
No email contact available. Phone customer service was pitiful - once I eventually got through. Incredibly rude and dismissive. You'd think THEY had been the one on hold for an hour.
Came to renew my insurance, last year I just paid as I was going through a difficult time and couldn't be bothered looking around for a better deal but that year no way! I was absolutely shocked that I got a policy $400 cheaper than ALLIANZ, that is ridiculous! I didn;' even bother ringing them as there is no way they would beat that price. Not only that, I got a no claims discount, windscreen cover, a MUCH cheaper excess not $800 which they had on my police so why wouldn't I change, wouldn't you? I'm getting a BETTER policy for almost half the...price!!! Insurance baffles me, don't be loyal as they don't treat loyal customers any better!! they keep putting your prices up and up and up!! I will be shopping around for car insurance each year if I am not happy with the price.
Horrible dont pay on legitimate claims
They just take your money....no intent to honour there policy. They just want to accept funds and wiggle their way out of paying. Horrible ethics and I will never use them again.
Worst ever insurance please keep away
Going through all the negative feedbacks I felt disappointed not to find negative stars to valuate this insurance long endless list of negatives. To summarize my experience with this insurance ,they are:
Non professional , arrogant , worst customer service ever , non friendly , slow actions and mentality , greedy ,unreliable, no value for the money as they will do their best to avoid compliance to any claim if possible.Non experienced admin and technical staff,time wasters.I strongly recommend that the government and accc shut them down immedia...
With Allianz you are alone
All good while no problems. First problem and they leave you completely alone even presenting proofs. They made me wait on the phone for 25 minutes when trying to make a claim and then they didn't even offer to investigate a little bit despite I had witnesses, photos, names of companies they would be able to call, etc. When you have to pay good money for the insurance they are more helpful though. As soon as my policy expires, mi relation with them too. Very expensive services and zero effectiveness. They are not tricking me twice.
Quite potentially the worst insurance company that’s ever been established in the Oceania region. Every person I’ve ever spoken to, who was also with Allianz agrees, including employees and those at mid-senior level roles have admitted to foul practice.
Heed warning, to all who are considering this company - ask anyone at all, and no one will have a good thing to say about them.
Horrible Phone Service
I called Allianz to speak to someone about a Home and Contents claim, Justin found my policy number and put me through, I waited on the phone for 40 minutes, a lady answered and asked me for my rego number. I was put through to the wrong department. She told me she has no choice but put me through again to the correct one. I was again put on hold for further 20 minutes, when someone finally answered the phone the line dropped down! I had to call again, waiting on hold for 20 minutes until my call was answered. DISGRACEFUL!!!!!

Purchased: Comprehensive Insurance, for 3 Drivers of the vehicle (Family Members), Car is almost 20 years old.
I signed up with Allianz about a month ago, as my previous insurer was charging close to $1200 for a car valued at $3000.
I was really worried when I was reading so many bad reviews of Car Insurances that I was paralysed as to which one to go with. All of them have nightmare stories from customers that I just could not decide which o...ne to go with. So I decided to just create a graph and just weight out what I needed the most, irrespective of the ratings and reviews. So I reviewed almost all the Insurance companies I could prioritizing the cost, premiums, discounts, named driver (family member) discounts, choice of repairer and a big thing was inclusion of Agreed Value where you can set the value of your car (PLEASE PLEASE... make sure the year and model of the car is exact, as it will make a difference). After some research I found that Allianz and Budget Direct were very close to giving me what I wanted. The only difference being that Allianz offered Agreed Value along with Market Value also had the choice of repairer already in the yearly cost.

Allianz owe us money
My husbands car had been backed into. I was pretty happy with the process and how quick allianz was to respond and contact the repair place but that all went down hill when the repair place said they couldn't find a nudge bar to fit his Hilux as the old owner put an after market one on there. The repair place were great and they said they will put in a form and you'll get money back from allianz for it. We thought that's great as we won't be out of pocket then. Well after numerous phone calls we finally got the assessor to approve the refund al...most 2 months after. We received an email stating we will be refunded and it should be in our account within 3 days. Well it's been over 3 weeks with numerous emails to allianz. It's almost like we're being ghosted by allianz. They did not want to pay us the money you could tell how they were on the phone before the assessor approved it. Very rude about the whole thing. We are currently still waiting for payment. I think we will take our business elsewhere as this process shouldn't be this complicated. Not happy until we get payment.
I lodged a claim for an accident 5 months ago with a police report and a witness..still no progress on my claim. And I always needed to call them for an update!! Unbelievable!
Unbelievable bad bad service
We had a car insured for 10 years and paid in excess of $65k. When this car was damaged from behind and clearly it was no fault of ours. Our claim was assessed by Allianz assessors and poor car written off. The only damage to the bumper was scratched and independent estimates were only $500 but Allianz repairs estimated $2800. We pleaded with Allianz to get our car back but they threatened to make sure we can not register the vehicle in NSW. The service was unbelievable from any insurance company operating in a lovely country like ours. I alrea...dy cancelled my other car with Allianz and anyone who has any insurance with these guys please please get out. The assessor who spoke to us was not only rude but threatened us if we do not aggree to write the car off.
Appalling Level of Service
Very slow process to deal with an at fault claim.
Very long wait for Assessment of vehicle.
On hold always, on one day 3 people tried to call regarding the claim, with almost 2 hours on hold.
Slow response to emails and no attention to details at all.
Insurance now elsewhere and hope to never deal with Allianz again.
Poor customer service
I lodged a motor vehicle insurance claim and was advised that the excess was $850. When I received the formal notification via e-mail I was advised that the excess was in fact $2,250. I rang to clarify and hung up after being on the phone on hold for over 18 mins. Clearly once they've got your business they're not interested in providing any customer service.

Only 2 approved repairers in Canberra region. Long waits for repairs and no care
Have to wait 3 weeks for minor damage repair. (Not our fault)> Asked to use my choice of repairer as per policy, but they expect me to leave my car at that repairers for an indeterminate amount of time so that their assessor can look over the vehicle. Only having 2 repairers is pointless. They clearly do not give two hoots about customer service. Then to add insult to injury, they referred me to a hire car company called Right2Drive who had no vehicles available in the ACT. Not really what I was expecting when I paid for a comprehensive policy....It all comes down to very poor and lazy customer service. Waiting 3 weeks to get a car repaired when it's really just a few scratches is a joke. Allianz say they can't help that. BUT they can. The could have more approved repairers in our region.
Keep Your Customers
I always advise people vote with your money where you want to spend it, if Companies like Allianz do not value you as a Loyal Customer spend your money elsewhere plenty of Insurance companies in the marker place.
I have just received our Comprehensive Car Insurance renewal, and being a loyal Allianz Customer you would assume that your insurance premium would have gone down in 10 years with no claims windscreen or accident.
I and my wife are pretty annoyed that Allianz would spend thousands of dollars advert...

Terrible customer service
It is our first time to claim a car insurance so I had no idea what to do. I called the Allianz to arrange a rental car after an accident. The phone line quality was terrible and kept cut off when the woman spoke to me. She got impatient with me when I had to ask her to explain hips of conditions she was telling me about the car rental policy. Eventually I had enough with her irritation and had to talk to her supervisor. The supervisor was even worse. It sounds like talking to a machine and transferred me back to the representer straight away. ...None of them were happy to talk to a customer. I think they’d better to use AI at least who would be more impatient to ask the questions. We chose them as it is a lazy choice with our bank recommendation. But we will definitely NOT use Allianz any more.
Fantastic service; easy claim
I recently was involved in a car accident, in which because I hit a car from behind the other driver has claimed on their insurance that I was at fault. I have comprehensive insurance with Allianz. I submitted a form and sent the other insurance company's paperwork to them, and had an almost immediate response. "Pay the excess and we will take care of it". Honestly, it was a smooth and easy transaction; the lady on the phone that took my payment was lovely; and I am greatly relieved that beside the excess I am not out of pocket. I was also informed I have an insurance type where I do not lose my no claim bonus - which is fantastic!
