Excellent, Smooth Process
my in law had an incident happed and admited in hospital. I am so happy I choose Allianz as my Overseas Visitor Health cover. Process was so smooth and easy.
I’ve been having allianz for 7 months now. easy to set up. little bit issue with the payment but all good after a call. have never lodged any claim though

I took Overseaes Visitor Health Cover for my both Parents. Iam so happy with their service that includes processing claims, various medical centres and pathologies they do direct billing with Allianz which is great.
I took the overseas visitor health cover for my parents who stuck here during Pandemic. The cover included GP visit, hospital cover, blood tests and other investigations which was very useful and gave us peace of mind.
Allianz stepped up to the plate when needed
When locked down during the pandemic and unable to fly back to the UK, and my existing travel insurance finishing, Allianz came to my rescue offering my wife and I a policy to ensure we had medical over until we could return back to the UK. Fortunately, we did not need to make a claim and only needed the policy for two months.
Very easy to set up. Not the cheapest, but not the dearest, but Allianz has a very good reputation and that why we chose this policy
Staff was very helpful.
It is of good value, easy to set up, and making the claims were easy. It only took about 2 weeks to resolve my claims. I've been with this insurance company every now and then.
Dissatisfied Allianz performance
I have been using health insurance with Allianz over 4 years since I was an oversea student and still continue using them even when I m holding working visa right now
The company used to be quick to respond, reliable and easy to contact when I want to make a claim but once I switch from OSHC to OVHC - everything getting worse.
Allianz takes looooonger time to process (minimum 10 business days per 1 conservation) and make things harder and nonsense than it should be. I m still waiting for my claims with hopeless.
I would recommend insurance seekers to consider other professional companies instead.
If everyone experienced in switching insurance company before please let me know.
Easy to process online and complete on phone
I chose these guys because when I was a student I used their student policies. They were very helpful when I was hospitalised and paid for all my expenses. When I came this year to visit I used them again. I am sorry to hear about others bad experience.
Worst experience ever
I will never ever recommend it again to anyone seeking overseas visitors cover for elderly parents unless you want to go through the same pain as me.
My dad who is now 81 has been visiting Australia since 2012 and had a heart attack 02/03/2020. He was taken to Sunshine hospital in an ambulance and spend 3 days in the hospital and diagnose that he got heart blockages. But he didn't go through any surgery as it can be medically managed. It is the first time he falls sick in Australia and never been to a GP here either prior to this incident.
W...e made a claim for the ambulance and hospital charges and the claim has been declined after 2 months of detail medical history investigation both here and home country saying it is a "pre-existing condition". We know that 90% heart blockages are gradually built over time especially given my dad's age is 81 years. I have not been provided any evidence why it is deemed as "Pre-existence" and requested me to go back to hospital to get the required reports. When I asked about the ambulance claim, I got the following response. "In regards to the Ambulance claim - and any other claim related to the admission - all claims are not payable as they relate to a pre-existing condition.
My agent was knowledgeable & helpful but has not sent my updated policy details via email yet as promised.
My first experience with Allianz and my OVHC policy was more efficient in that way.
I guess I will have to call again to request. I need them.
Not too easy to change dates
Haven’t claimed anything. But as my termination dates were very raw when I’ve signed policy, I was ensured that it would be easy to extend dates or cut shorter if needed. Reality is that it took me more than a month to cut dates due to early return due to Covid-19. And they do not refund if you have less than 1 month of policy left, which was extra unpleasant surprise. So be careful, it is better to make policy shorter and then extend it rather than pay for duration and struggle to get your money back
Worst experience ever
Will never ever recommend it again. Waste of money. used this insurance for 1 year but not even 1 claim was successful. Basic cover doesn’t cover anything. So paying 1000 dollars is useless
Worse experience after 6 years of using Allianz
Had a very worse experience with them, after I had made arrangements prior to my hospital admission. They refused to pay the bill which was such a hard thing on us.
Extremely bad and disappointed
It’s very easy to purchase the policy but it’s much more difficult to claim it back later.they said 10 days to response but it took 12 days and I have to ring them.not all but some ladies in phone were really rude.
Simply the worst policy
A policy that only pays 80% of the Medicare levy is not worth the paper its
Written on, and when canceled only got back a quarter of the policy amount after only 2months of being covered
Very professional and efficient team ,1 phone call no waiting and done , set up direct debit at the same time and got advise on how to manage the policy in the future thank you
This is my second time to avail a health cover from Allianz OVHC. Set up was easy & my questions were all answered. They were easy to get a hold of
I had immense trouble getting in touch regarding questions about my coverage. When I finally got tired of waiting, cancelling was done about 10 times faster. Not at all happy.
Every thing is complicating including his review, The claim will be approved in one years time.If I wasn't at home due to recent circumstance would never have done this. I have other important things that need looking after and I paid good money to have peace of mind

How do I find a dentist covered by Allianz. I am not finding a tool like the “find a doctor” option. I have the plan that covers dental.
Also, why can’t I create an account on the app, it says my information is wrong but I’ve used it before to confirm my details over the phone.
