Poor case management, poorer complaints management
My employer, a small business, took out worker's comp insurance with Allianz. On 11/02/21, I broke my wrist at work, which complicated a post-surgical recovery on my right wrist and left me unable to use either hand. Read morewilling to support me daily for 1 hour as stated in Allianz's approval letter, withdrawn my access to physiotherapy without explanation, issued inconsistent documentation, and confirmed that the OT-driven request for household assistive aids was completed. In fact, I received 2 assistive aids on 14/05/21 and 15/05/21. Four remaining approved items are yet to be received. My wrist is still broken and I have been advised by my GP and an independent medical examiner that I will not be fit for work for another 6 months. On the 1 to 10 pain scale, I rate my physical injuries at 6 and my interactions with Allianz at 12. Please explore your options further before signing up with Allianz.
