Excellent customer service
Household furniture removal from Dunsborough to Perth. Allied were helpful and efficient throughout the booking process and provided a competitive quote. Removalists were on time for both pick up and delivery of furniture items. Excellent care and attention taken when packing and unpacking. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant. Very helpful and friendly service.
Moved from 4 bedroom farm into two bedroom town house 25km away. Lots of stuff all picked up and delivered on same day.
Great effort. Thanks guys for making it so painless.
Excellent movers and packing staff both pre-pack and delivery. Office staff support left a lot to be desired.
Great friendly packing and removal staff. Efficient, tidy and very polite and easy to deal with. Top notch.
However after an initial, perfectly understandable human error on Allied office staff behalf the follow up discussions and subsequent written correspondence was unacceptable. It would have caused a lot less stress and last minute booking of other service providers, by me, if the staff member had been open and transparent in the first place.
Use another company, as customer service is not in Allied's Vocab.
I have been trying to move 2 x cases from Hong Kong to Surfers Paradise, and the Allied Team in Hw were amazing, the local Brisbane Team are a disaster for trying to obtain information on why the are continually delayed, and when they are likely to be delivered. They are either:
- Never available
- Unable to give a delivery date
- Too busy on the phones to take a call, or call back
- Don't know who there supervisor or MD is to escalate concerns.
- The Richlands Operations Manager doesn't even have the courtesy to offer to call back
Very Poor Service
Moved interstate. Sydney to Perth. 1.5 containers. Half of our stuff arrived the 2nd half arrived 12days later. The essentials box arrived with the 2nd load. We could not assemble any furniture without the nuts & bolts in the essentials box. During this period we had to sleep on the floor. Worse still our car that was promised to arrive on the 6th Jan 21, only arrived in the middle of January. This entire service was poor even though we paid extra for this period. We did not get our good on time.
It did go wrong and then they fixed it! Happy Days
3 bed house move. I packed, Allied were to load into a container, store it for 2 weeks then deliver. Arrived late. Apologies all round. Job done eventually. Delivery awesome.

Run from this guys... If you don't, put insurance or you will regret.
I moved everything in my 4 bedroom apartment from Mackay to Perth. They were suppose to collect my car at a certain day but they delayed 1 week.
However, the big problem is that I didn't buy the insurance.
So many damaged things. The washing machine, I will have to buy a new one.
Boots, hats all smashed. Doll house broken.
They packed shoes with clean clothes without protection.
I couldn't set the bed because most of the screw wasn't there and we had to buy.
Anyways, very poor care of our things.

We used Allied to move our 3 bedroom house from Hobart to Devonport. Were very efficient, accommodating and kind. Jarrod went out of his way to make sure we were settled in. Will surely use them again!

Greats two boys -really hard workers
Across the street with heavy items and the boys worked from start to finished. Very positive and friendly with no complaints when working in 34c heat and climbing 50-60 stairs all day long. Thanks boys and great job
Don't take out insurance with Allied Pickford
3 bedroom house moving to UK. The furniture arrived late, but that was the least of my problems. I have had a bad experience from start to end, with unclear explanations as to risks etc and neither end wishing to take responsibility. It is probably all in the small print, but the salesmen are keen and helpful to start with and get less so as your case is passed on down the line. But the most serious is the failure to accept insurance claims (one in particular) for damage. By the time it comes to this stage, there is clearly nothing to be gaine...d by being helpful. The packers have clearly broken the leg off an antique corner table, but did not mention it to me at the time; and now AP are claiming it was pre-existing damage. I have found their attempts to get me to accept their decision to be intimidatory, setting deadlines for accepting their assessment on another piece of damage. Their is no record of a broken leg on the signed inventory, under the appropriate column. It was certainly not damaged prior to packing. Their promotional material suggests prompt settlement, but my understanding (and now experience) is that this is far from the case. Having read other independent reviews where AP have a satisfaction rating of 76% on the lowest score, I notice this is not uncommon. As I mentioned this is not the only part of my bad experience, on which I can comment in a separate review; but it leaves a particularly sour taste towards the company. The transportation insurance is outlandishly expensive anyway (20-30% of total transportation cost) and the failure to settle up on a much valued gift from my grandmother is causing great stress. I will be amazed if this review is published.
Avoid at all costs. While the people who did our packing and delivery were very polite they are let down by flawed systems and an organization lacking in integrity.
After our goods left our home and we had left NZ we received an email stating that it wouldn't all fit in the container so we needed to urgently pay $3k for overflow, I refused as a contract is a contract; only when threatened with consumer affairs did they reduce to $1000 which I paid as ransom effectively. Despite us paying this back in November 2020 those goods still haven't ...left NZ and won't be in Adelaide until mid-Feb. It's quite convenient that this overflow charge happened after we refused their insurance. We did a check quote with 2 insurance companies after we were quoted more than $8500 to insure our household goods and car for transit. We got cover with the reputable Vero for $1900!!!! So no doubt having missed out on this attempted profit grab, they attempted the overflow trick! To their credit the car arrived without damage. The bulk of our house hold goods arrived 2 days ago. Further chaos has ensued... the inventories they made bear no relationship to reality and so far we are missing a sound system Amp and XBOX that my kids were looking forward to playing. Why bother creating inventories if they don't reflect what's in the boxes?? In short, they have turned a straight forward move into a stressful one and I strongly recommend not using them. Hopeless at best, potentially dishonest and certainly lacking integrity!!
Boxes missing, poor communication, over priced, bad choice
Where to start! I should have looked out for the red flags.
Positives first, the people picking up and dropping my items of where very nice to deal with. Everyone had a smile. That's the end of the positives.
This should have been an easy move for a professional company! Small apartment. Interstate move to Melbourne.
The communication has been poor at every step...except when needing more money. After I paid the original quote they contacted me and notified me that extra money would need to be paid due to 'difficult access'. That was the end o...

Great service from pick up to off load
We had to move our four bedroom house from Alice Springs to Darwin at very last minute. Called other removal companies who didn’t bother to follow up after arranging a quote. Allied was very proactive and that won them the job. They provided cartons and tape and were happy to accommodate some last minute additions to the load. We got it picked up and delivered safely all in 7 days. Outstanding job from both crews and they made the move to Darwin a lot more manageable

Great service but issue with using plastic wrapping sheets
We moved a full containers worth of household goods from NSW to WA. When we were quoted we were advised that all furniture would be wrapped in blankets to protect it. The quoting service was fantastic and quick. [name removed], the lady in the office answered my questions quickly. The 2 guys doing the uplift were fast and efficient and we noted that they wrapped all the furniture very carefully in thick coloured plastic sheeting. This is where things went wrong! Our container was transported to WA by road and train which we assume caused the go...ods to vibrate. The container arrived on time and the goods were delivered to our home in WA on the arranged day. We did not arrive for another month due to Covid travel restrictions and were very upset to find that large areas of our furniture had sustained severe friction burns which we think were caused by the plastic sheeting rubbing as there was obvious colour transfer from the coloured sheeting. One area of a bed base actually had soot around it and looked as though it may have come close to ignition. Luckily we had taken out a separate insurance with "Carts" and they have paid to replace or repair the damage but we are obviously very disappointed . We can't fault the customer service we received from Allied Pickfords but I think they need to seriously review the practice of wrapping furniture in plastic sheeting.
Disappointed- customer service was ok but poor logistics and damage to our property - do not use them
2bedroom apartment moving to a small 2bedroom terrace - 10min apart.
The team were polite and professional- but the logistics were not great - an error was made on the size of the truck needed for the job, resulting in us going back and forth in the rain to recover more possessions (clothes) & furniture.
More importantly, the move resulted in damage to the floors in our old apartment, and to our brand new floors in our terrace. The latter in several locations.
Accidents happen, but we had more than one scratch to both properties and I was to...ld to get a quote (sorry several) to repair the damage 3 days before Christmas, whilst going back and forth to move furniture that should have been on the original delivery. Not happy - when you screw up and pay this sort of money - you expect a quick resolution and compensation to fix the damage. I should not have to shop around and get quotes for true repairs.
- QLD, Cairns
Cairns to Melbourne, 4 bedroom house and tools. Went exactly as per the plan. Very good. The only thing I would like to say, is the numbered stickers applied to every item moved are hard to get off. They rip and leave bits behind on your furniture. My suggestion would be to use a plastic type sticker, less prone to tearing and hopefully easier removal.
A less than ideal experience.
4 bedroom house and a car from Perth to Wollongong. Not enough boxes sent with the packers the day before so packing was completed on the day of the move. Absolute chaos with both packers and movers in the house. Although I was told a second container would be needed, only one turned up, the rest had to be crammed into two hastily sent vans, to be packed into a container at their depot. There was a bungle with the booking of the car move, so the dates I was given for departure and arrival were changed last minute which left me hundreds of dolla...rs out of pocket when I had to change and extend rental car arrangements. The arrival in Wollongong of the first container was two and a half hours later than the stated time with no contact to let us know it was running late. After it was unloaded and we started to unpack, we discovered some of the fairly essential things that wouldn’t arrive until the balance of load came in a couple of weeks....the slats from my sons bed, our bedding and most of the contents of my kitchen cupboards among them. No date was given for its arrival, just a sudden phone call nearly two weeks later to say it would be there next morning and it wasn’t the whole balance of load, there’s still 2 cubic metres somewhere in transit. There were however some things that weren’t mine I had to send back with the truck that some poor soul is probably wondering what became of them. I’ve received a verbal apology from Allied and I am waiting to see if there will be any reimbursement of the extra cost from the car transport bungle. This is just a brief summary, there was more, on the whole it was a distressing experience and not what I would have expected from a company I had good dealings with in the past.

Excellent 5 star service from quote to pickup to delivery!
Due to work and family commitments we have moved residence eight times with three big interstate relocations. Our last move was a shocker, our three storey, 4 bedroom home had proved to be too much for the pathetic removalists we hired seven years ago. I had to remove the refrigerator doors to get it up the stairs and then reassemble, some furniture was left in the garage, some on the wrong floors, a few car loads were left at the previous address, beds were left disassembled, it was an absolute nightmare. So it was with a bit of trepidation w...e approached this interstate move from Ocean Grove in Victoria to Southport in QLD. We were put at ease immediately by Andrew Daly from Allieds Geelong Office. He was professional, honest, very helpful and offered some great advice in regards to packing, Car relocation and Dog transport and crossing borders during the Covid lockdown. On pickup day Butch and his team Danny and Neil were sensational. The refrigerator was moved down 2 flights of stairs without removing doors, large furniture was moved out through windows, beds were disassembled. Butch had a solution for every problem. A great bunch of guys, smiling, happy and very courteous. Delivery was just as good, Mick B and his team Mark, Daniel and Boxa were equally as good and very patient. We filled two containers but were downsizing substantially so some furniture had to be moved several times to find a position. All the beds were reassembled and Mick and the team did not leave until they were sure we were happy and everything was in the correct place. I can not recommend Allieds highly enough they have restored our faith in the removals industry.
Superb. The gold standard for movers.
I cannot praise Allied movers highly enough. They were superb. The customer service was incomparable, from the first meeting and the quote — which was very competitive — to the collection of the last empty box. The manager, Adam Batteson, who came to quote on the move and orchestrated the whole thing, could not have been more helpful, efficient, courteous or kind. Nothing was too much trouble, nothing was a problem. He organised special crates for artworks, brought boxes and packing materials whenever I needed them, arranged for the boxes to be...collected gradually as I unpacked at the other end, and when a large painting wouldn’t fit in the lift, he organised a special crane to lift it over the balcony. His team of removalists was exemplary — well organised, extremely careful, friendly and helpful. They handled the exigencies of the apartment building cheerfully, competently and without complaint. Everything went smoothly. Adam and his team’s experience, care and attention to detail made the whole business of moving as stress free as possible. They’re the gold standard that all removalists should aspire to. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Never Use this company ever
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I picked Allied simply because they are national and represent themselves as being professional and careful, nothing could be further from the truth.
On the day of uplift I expected professional packers to arrive to pack my place ready to be loaded into the truck but the moving crew arrived and the were cowboys, they used my lined as packing materials and showed no care. There was no box for my 75’’ tv and that had to ride unprotected which I was really displeased with,
On delivery of my furnitur...e I was advised there was boxes missing and no one had any idea where they were. As things were unpacked it was discovered lamps had he broken, crockery smashed, fridge with 10+ dents in it and my wooden bed frame had be broken, with the way the fa was broken it would had to have had a fairly heavy knock as metal screws and wood dales were broken. As we got to the end it was discovered my 75’’ tv was missing along with 5 other boxes. Later in the day the tv was found in the original container it had come over in and that was at least delivered that same day. I had to call to follow up the 5 missing boxes and they should up 48hrs after delivery in some other container. My stuff was handled 5-6 times which for a moving company is totally and utterly it acceptable, they are meant to be treating peoples goods with respect and form my experience Allied don’t know what careful and respectful Is, they need to take a long hard look at themselves as they just brushed everything to insurance but with how many times things were handled they are just cowboys and not showing any respect.
Disgrace. Held our goods to ransom to pay a bill they cannot show / justify. Paid and still won't deliver or answer why!
Moved good from LA to Perth. Local agents are ignoring our requests. Our shipment is 3 months late and they want to charge me for storage for their own delays caused. they use threatening agents offshore and hold goods even when they can't substantiate fake costs. Avoid at all costs. Our quote also started $2k less than final invoice and hats when we brought less stuff. Absolute disgrace.

It went without a hitch!
Nina and I were so nervous choosing a carrier but after some research we choose Allied. They were so professional from the first contact to final delivery. Just Superb! The move was from Melbourne to Coffs Harbour and our consultant Peter explained everything so clearly and was helpful and caring. On move day the 3 man team were so friendly, courteous and efficient and filled our 20ft container to the brim, everything fitted perfectly, it was Tetris at its best. Peter in Melbourne and Cathy in the Coffs office kept us updated at all times durin...g transport and upon delivery of our container in Coffs the 3 man team made the delivery/unloading process enjoyable and super efficient. We’ll definitely be using them again and have already been recommending them to friends. I felt in good hands at all times! Thank you Allied!!
Punctual and efficient
2 bed home, interstate move. 4 guys in 2 trucks rocked up to the minute they set the day before. 90 minutes later, they left. We were in no way ready for them, but they ripped through the place helping us finish packing, item logging, and loading up before we knew what was happening.
Delivery of our stuff was once again to the minute. 2 guys were fantastic unloading and were more than happy putting boxes and loose items in they're different rooms around the house. Everything arrived in the condition they left, and every item that wasn't in a box was individually wrapped in a padded blanket, including a push bike. 10/10 for service, and the 6 guys that were involved were friendly and easy going.

Relocation from Cranbrook to Mundijong
My wife and I engaged Allied Pickfords to relocate our furniture and personal effects from Cranbrook to Mundijong - the latter being our family home. Russell Cox, the manager and his assistant, Bridgette, were very professional and courteous as was the team of removalists (Malcolm and his family) allocated to the task.
Our belongings were uplifted on time and delivered without incident or any damage to either the contents or our home.
My only suggestion would be for the contractors to use floor mats and / or step coverings to avoid any damage a...
We moved a 4x2 from Perth WA to a highrise apartment on the Gold Coast. From the initial enquiry to the delivery the whole experience was amazing. Special thanks to our Moving Services Consultant who was all over every detail, was prompt in responding to our enquiries and a complete pleasure to deal with

My daughter is moving from Sydney to Tasmania her furniture will only fill half a container.
I believe she has to wait for the container to be filled before it is shipped.
With your experience on average how long will she have to wait for her container to be shipped to Tasmania I realise that you can not give me a definite time period I'm after an average.
