I was wondering if you can upgrade and what the process is? tried to ask the question on the online chat, no reply, tried emailing, no reply
Yes, upgrades are available to all customers who have been paying regularly for the first 24 months. The process can be started quickly over the phone, but will require your latest financial details as we will need to make sure we upgrade you into something you can afford. Please call us on 1300 25 74 26 .. we are here for another hour - or call in the morning and one of our finance specialists will be able to help. Happy driving!
Do i have to take one of your cars or can i pick something else ?
Do we have to have rego and insurance with you or can we get our own ?
Thank you for your question. Once approved you have the choice of one of our vehicles or we can assist you choose your own. Our fixed weekly or fortnightly repayments include the financing of the vehicle, registration and insurance.
Hi Sarah, here is a bit moe details
When it comes to the car under finance we have a range of late model vehicles currently in stock and ready to go - with upfront deposits of $290 or $490. You can check them out here https://www.alphafinance.com.au/car-finance/vehicles. This week the list totals more than 700. However, if you have another car in mind, that is not on our list then we do have a Choose-Your-Own model. In this instance you can tell us the make and model (and colour) you are looking for and we will try to source one for you. We do have some restrictions though - the vehicle must 2014 or newer, with low kms (under 100,000). We also exclude turbo engines and European/exotic cars. The upfront deposit of this model is $990
I tried to go with choose you own car,but they pushed me into one of their own cars which was owned by Avis, you really don’t get a choice until after you have been with them for 24 months. I have a change in jobs where I will require more driving and I asked Jon Hui,even though I have had the car for 12 months and all my payments are up to date, I asked Jon if I would be able to upgrade to a bigger Vehicle and he told me that it shouldn't be a problem, but when I started asking about the change, I got told that I had to wait 24 months, a total back flip on what he originally said and I still have the email he sent saying that and I have found none of their departments return e-mails, even when you change bank details, but they contact you real quick if you miss a payment and even if it is their fault as they don't check e-mails or respond to them even when you ask them to.They are very poor in the communication area and do not promise what they say!!!!!!
We have put a application in three weeks ago and no one has called us back..
We have rang numerous times and keep getting told its with the credit team.. I am confused can someone please contact us?
I believe our Credit Team Leader has called you not long ago to further your application. Should you need any further assistance please let me know. Jacqueline.
I am struggling with my payments and my accountant handler changes every week. Is there a financial hardship support team ? Am I able to swap for a smaller vehicle or cheaper one as I'm afraid I can no longer afford these repayments !
Please help !
HI Fiona, absolutely we can help you. Can you please email me at email@example.com with your full and name and best phone number to call and someone will contact you today. Kind regards, Team Alpha
Yup - I have been getting the run around for weeks with a temporary financial hardship application, and constant account manager changes & no one ever reads notes. No compassion as they keep threatening to repossess my car, and the "financial hardship manager" refused to give me information on how to lodge a complaint with their head office. So I have had to lodge one externally.
Go to finance ombudsman guys then get lawyer..
Hi my partner and I have only been with alpha since September and can't use or the car it was perfect of our family of 3.... Now we will consist of a family of 6 YES we are pregnant with Triplets!! We have a Hyundai i30 and now for a family of 6 soon to be happing 14 weeks I am this little sporty car will not be ideal. Our 2 year old daughter's stroller just fits in and I won't be able to fit my family anymore.. so my question is can you upgrade with alpha. We really hope we can resolve this as we don't want to be stuck paying a car for 4 years which we cannot drive.
Looking forward to your response
Congratulations! What wonderful news - our very best wishes to you and your family. Yes, of course, we can help customers transfer across vehicles when life circumstances change - and yours will change in a big way. Depending on previous payment history and your current financial position we can look at the range of options available in our fleet, from family cars and SUVs to people movers. To get an idea of what the weekly repayments (including insurance and registration) will be, check out the options currently available online at https://www.alphafinance.com.au/car-finance/vehicles. And then jump on the phone and give us a call at 1300 24 75 26, explaining you are our an existing customer looking to upgrade your car, and our team will work with you to find the best option for your family.
Kind regards and we wish you a safe and healthy 14 weeks.
The vehicles come with included insurance. I notice there is a $2500 excess on the insurance.Sounds very steep. If the vehicle is written off in an accident is the customer still responsible for payments to the end of their contract ?
Thank you for your question. Yes ALL our Alpha Finance vehicles include registration and comprehensive Insurance for the full term. There is an Excess that relates to our Comprehensive Insurance policy and the excess depends on whom is at fault. IF/When a 3rd party is and confirms they are 100% at fault then the excess is $250.00. IF/When the accident is 100% the fault of one of our Lease clients then the excess of $2500.00 applies and will cover any repairs for our vehicle and any other 3rd party vehicle repairs. As always we would be happy to set up a call to discuss any further or specific questions you may have at your convenience.
I cant afford my repayments at the price it is at the moment the car has very high kms its already sounding funny have had probles with breaks off and on even after beeing fixed. I still need a big vehcle but im starting to struggle with repayments is there a way I can enter a new contract "Roll over" for a similar car with a lower price please....?
Thanks for your question. As always we want to try and help all our customers. Can you please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and best contact phone number and our account team will call you back within 24 hours. Take care Tracey, Head of Marketing, Alpha Companies

Hi Sha, please see free to call or email me to discuss as I haven't heard back from you. Thank you Craig Cameron GM Alpha.

I did the application 2 weeks ago as my car is old and has just broken down and in need of a lot of work. Since i applied i did everything needed. But im still wanting on you guys. I call every day and i get told that yes all is good with your application and you will get a call by the end of the day. This has been going on every day. Im frustrated as i dont have a car and that i had to rent a car to go to and from work.
I need to know what is going on?
I have passed your details onto our GM of Finance, Craig Cameron, and see that he was in contact with you yesterday to look at options to get you over the line in terms of approval for credit. Kind regards
Unfortunately i havent heard from craig. The only person i spoke to was paul but he is only for nsw and im in vic. I have only been offered one particular car in dandenong. We dont have a car at all and if this keeps being delayed i will have to go tomorrow tuesday and have a look at a very cheap car to buy to at least take me to and from work. Im sick of the 2 and half hour commute on public transport each way. Could i pick a car from a caryard and you guys do the finance? Just cant go on like this.
Can this be resolved urgently please.
If I leased the car from you people, will I own the car at the end of the contract?
Hi Nadia, Thank you for your question. in short Yes. Every one of our Alpha Car Finance Clients has within their contract the ability to enable us to transfer the ownership to them at the end of their Lease. You also have the flexibility after 2 years to upgrade your lease. I trust this assists. Kind Regards Craig
So do you have to have the insurance & registration with you ?
Thanks for the question and a good one at that. Our car leasing program does include vehicle registration, CTP and Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance bundled into the fixed repayment amounts. Our customers find this a really positive offering because it allows them to have a good handle on their household/personal budget. It takes away the hassles of large annual or half yearly bills, and having to keep track of a range of different cost charges. When Christmas, school holidays and birthdays come along our customers don't have the hassle of managing extra bills because Alpha Car Finance has these significant annual vehicle expenses covered.
what bigger family vehicles (not sedan) or 7/8 seater cars are available for upgrade this week??? i have been waiting for months for my upgrade i was promised and i get told that theres nothing on stock?????? when i signed with melbourne they didnt have a car in stock so they drove one down from queensland??????...im getting fed up......

there are loop holes in the contract that my solicitor has advised.. so i may be taking my loyalty and money elsewhere....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you please provide me your details to firstname.lastname@example.org along with the outline of your complaint. Once I have these I can pass it on to the correct person for investigation.
Alpha prides itself on great customer service and retention and will be in contact with you as soon as we have more information.

Is alpha finance good to go with?
Alpha Car Finance says yes when others say no!. We specialise in helping many Australians who have been ignored or cannot secure a quality near new vehicle through traditional banks and financial institutions.
Make sure you ask for Craig he is the man to talk to he is brilliant and he makes sure you get exactly what you need within your budged plan he is honest reliable and always gets back to you as soon as he can, Craig is the most experienced and explains everything in detail very clearly and promptly your safe and in good hands the show rooms could do with a spruce up other than that "NO COMPLAINTS"

Thank you so much mary anne is craig at the melbourne branch : )
I'm concerned as I was looking at getting a car through them but these reviews are concerning! Any ideas?
I would recommend not to go ahead with Alpha. They are a total rip off.I would suggest tat you try getting a car loan through a bank or a legitimate finance company.Alpha tries to make it look like a finance but basically they put clients on a lease to own plan where you will end up paying three times more for the car and wont even own it at the end ,
We specialise in helping people in the credit challenged market so if you are able to get 1st tier lenders to assist you with your finance we would encourage that.
If you are unable to access this type of finance give us a call so we can explain how our product works and then you can choose if it will suit your needs. We are not here to rip anyone off and the previous comment is from someone who has not even used our service and keeps posting negative things about our company. We do not know why.
If we can assist you in anyway give us a call and do your research.
thanks and good luck

Keep in mind that servicing, registration and insurance is covered with Alpha throughout the duration of your contract. Yes, you do pay more for your car but my girlfriend just bought a car through Kia Finance versus mine through Alpha. I end up paying $4,000 more over the duration of my contract than her but her insurance, registration and insurance is not included in her repayments. My contract is also 5 years with Alpha, hers is 7 years and I pay $20 more per week than her. If you do the math, it's really not that different. Alpha make their money leasing it out as a rental before they move to the finance part, of course they are making a lot of money off its customers however I have a late 2015 SUV which I end up paying $48,000 for at the end, assuming I had the cash and I bought this car from a dealer now, I would still be paying around $35,000. $13,000 different and I'm pretty sure I'd come close to getting my monies worth in services, insurance and registration. Think about it and weigh up the options, it's not as bad as it seems. People just see the end amount on their contract and freak out without doing the math!!
