Refusal to repair under warranty
1 Year old couch snapped 2 metal recliner arms and bent a 3rd. As we paid cash the company can't find the receipt in their computer system. Therefore won't provide a warranted claim given the product guarantee of 10 years.
Cheap products and will do anything to get out of paying for repair claims.

I’m a repeat purchaser from Amart for three reasons. Their range is wide and well priced (particularly when their sales are on), their service has been friendly and helpful, and post customer care was wonderful when I had an issue with a product (of all products bought it was only one I had an issue with). Thanks Amart! Would be nice to see a broader range of decor though :)
Went above & beyond!
Having had terrible service at Cannington amart we thought we would try the Cockburn store instead.Wow! what a difference. The salesman Rodney was so professional courteous and kind. We were after a bed headboard and as it didn't come with brackets Rodney took $150 off the $200 price. When my husband went to pick it up the next day it was unfortunately broken. Rodney went above and beyond to help out.He not only gave us the floor model FREE he also gave us brackets for it.What exceptional service from this young man. Super Amart Cockburn all we can say is your BRILLIANT.
We just got our furniture today, didn't get told that we had to assemble it ourselves (we didn't last time), then I was trying to put a dinning chair together and unable to get the seat on as the screws are too short, then trying to get the 3 seater lounge together and the back is an inch short, and my recliner doesn't recline... I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We will be shopping somewhere else! Not Happy Jan!!!
CARE Cover - Fabric Doctor protection plan
Purchased the additional coverage on our lounge. The fabric is tearing at the back and without even viewing the lounge our claim for the lounge repair was refused based on the 'fine print' Total waste of $199. I don't recommend it.

We purchased my sofa in store as we wanted to test first.
We were charged $199 for the smart care, I was sure I had seen it at a different price online but I thought the staff knew how to do their jobs.
Got home and went online as if I was purchasing the sofa via the website and the art care was intact $159 for the particular sofa.

I have used Super Amart for my own purchases as well as two sons. I can't vouch for any stores other than Cockburn in WA BUT they are very competitive, with good quality and friendly staff. I couldn't fault them. I would always go to them to choose furniture bedding or outdoor gear. They are great.
We brought a czar corner lounge from amart along with the leather Dr maintenance kit we were told we had to buy. Lounge is peeling on a number of seems all the bonded leather peeling at joins was quoted $300 to $600 by a local upholsterer to repair it. Didn't expect the lounge to last forever but you'd expect longer than 2.5 years considering I brought a lounge from furniture spot 12 years ago and there's nothing wrong with it. Went to the store was told that it's a common problem and the lounge is discontinued nothing they can do. Contacted amart via email no response. Wrote a review on here but elected to have it handled privately no-one contacted me so now I'm complaining publicly. How hard is it for someone to contact me.
Don't buy from here if you need/want item anytime soon.

Terrible Quality and customer service
Purchased a dining set and opted to have it delivered. First off was told delivery would happen between 7am-2pm but someone would call 30min prior to delivery, seemed fair enough as it would be hard to give a stipulated time with multiple deliveries, however, no phone call was received, luckily I had someone working on my house while i stepped out for 20mins who was able to sign for delivery.

Absolutely amazing customer service provided by Caroline. It was my second visit in last two days in the store to attempt to purchase a furniture dining set. As the set contained bigger table and lamp table which I didn't need i have askd for a better deal. However, they couldn't decrease the price as it was a set and I would be better off buying everything separately. So not an interesting deal for me. Then I decided to go for another set but unfortunately many pieces could be deliver by April. missing items and poor service in store
I went into the cockburn central store one saturday and bought a living package and a bedroom package. In a nutshell I spent more than I wanted to because of how much was included in the living package. I ordered both packages to be delivered the following saturday ready for moving into my new place. On delivery day the two lounges included in the package werent delivered, the large set of drawers from the bedroom package was also missing. After calling the store I was informed that the lounges werent included in the package. When I explained t...hat they were the staff member left the phone to check, only to return and confirm that they should have been included and would cost an extra $300 if we wanted them. The chest of drawers was missing from the order through another staff mistake. So here I am in my new place, nothing to sit on and over $3000 poorer.
Cracking bonded leather
I bought the Gallery corner suite with chaise in black bonded leather, paid $1399.95 about 5 years ago. I have recently noticed it has started to crack all over the bottom cushions. This couch has had very minimal use, so I would expect this to last a lot longer. I have read other people's reviews on these bonded leather couches from super amart and I guess it is just a matter of time and mine will peel too. Do yourself a favour and do some research first If your are thinking of buying bonded leather from super amart.

My partner has emailed you guys without a reply as far as I'm aware, I've also emailed you and the store and spoken to the manager but I want as much saturation as possible, our new Seattle couch (that costs $2599.95 and we've only had for a month) has lost all support in several of the pieces, is making terrible squeaking noises with any movement (even from our cats) and the foam on the seats has broken up and split.
I've been contact with the store and it's manager and they're claiming they can get the parts replaced but we want a return and a refund, this is a major defect which your site and the ACCC states we are entitled to a full refund.
Extremely disappointed with our Bellini dining suite chairs. We purposely chose them as they are faux leather and thought they would be hard wearing.
Turns out the fabric is porous and absorbs stains that the leather dr ( sent out by Amart) said it shouldn't absorb. Put in 2 phone calls to cockburn store to which someone was calling me back!
4 weeks on , still waiting and chairs staining more day by day even though they are cleaned after each use.
$2,500 total spend for the day clearly counts for nothing.
I don't like to give negative feed back but am making an exception today, over the past 5 years we have bought 3 lounge suites and a full settlers set, I have been happy with both customer service and products.... until now!!!, when we moved house 21/2 years ago my large modular (fromAmart) was too large for this house so I gave it to my daughter and her family and purchased a new leather suite 3+1+1 chairs and sofa ends recline, recently i noticed foam on the floor upon further investigation i noticed the under side of one recliner had ripped ...and the foam was tearing, now there is only myself and husband living here and my husband is away 3 weeks at a time, I had then seen another suite I really liked more comfortable so I gave this one to my daughter, the Leather doctor went out to her house to view the problem and said oh its the kids have damaged it.... she had only had it 4 days at this point.... Now just had the store on the phone (cockburn) saying the report has come back and it is not covered under warranty as it was caused maliciously.... REALLY?? By whom ?? my grandkids come and visit on the weekend and they certainly are not allowed to mess around on nanny and poppy's sofa's the sofa i gave my daughter 21/2 years ago is still fine including the recliner and thats in a house with 2 adults and 4 kids. So I am not very impressed to say the least, I asked the manager what he was going to do for me as a loyal customer, naff all really.... it doesn't pay to be a loyal customer these days. I also work in retail for a large bed linen company and we believe in good customer service if you have a problem I would move mountains to help resolve your issue, obviously SUPER A MART you are not in the business of keeping repeat customers happy....
They lied to us, and on more than 1 occasion. We were told things were in stock and they were not. We were told things would be delivered on certain days, and nobody showed up. They didn't even bother to call us to let us know. On 3 seperate occasions I took time off work to be home for the delivery, and nothing was delivered. The manager made excuses, and all the promises in the world, but failed to follow through on his promises.
The manager caused us a lot of grief & was rude to us. When things were finally delivered they were either the...wrong items, or were damaged (sometimes both!) It took a couple of months (& a lot of unpaid time off work)vto get it all sorted / replaced / delivered. We have spent a fortune here (close to $17,000) but I will never trust them again, or buy anything from them. This was all at the cockburn, W.A store.
