Anki's Indian Eatery
1 review
Presenting itself as an eatery with limited seating, Anki's was an unexpected delight. On a quiet Tuesday night in Katoomba, six of us gathered for my birthday. I am 83, and I could have been disadvantaged by the fixed tables and bench-type seats. I needed a back rest but was able to use one of the few padded wall seats. So be aware if you need one of these, book in advance. The food was very good, (I sampled each of the six meals ordered), my prawns being outstanding. I could choose “any sauce from the menu” - bit of a cop out, I ended up just asking the chef to supply whatever he thought best. The young woman waiting was efficient and good humored and I left feeling well-looked after with no morning-after side effects. Recommended, just be aware that it has a humble eatery approach without pretentions. We will return soon.
