Why do this to your customers!!!!
We have supported the Stirling Anz as a community for 20 years The best service ,information in Adelaide How dare you money hungry executives Do this after all we’ve committed to you !!!
Have been with ANZ over 30 years and have had good service in the past but since COVID they are using it as an excuse to permanently close branches in growing communities. I will now be changing banks to one that has a branch in our local community of Camden NSW
Worst bank in australia by millions of miles
They must work super hard to be so useless. Closed Victoria Park branch and now I i must travel over 15 mins to depisit my cash. Suprised these cowboys are still in business. Well dine for being no1 worst bank you must be well pleased.
Rude, unfriendly and unprofessional
Most rude, unfriendly and unprofessional behaviour i saw in Broadmeadows Victoria ANZ branch this Thursday. Stood in a cue for nearly 10 min patiently and then faced this staff who was so rude to everyone. Trated people like crap. I wanted to make a change in account. I was told to make an appointment which would be given for another day. I had same change done in Commonwealth bank same day where they just did it in few min. I think ANZ have no professional training for customer service and ethical behaviour. They have lost the plot.
Worst bank very rude
Worst custoner service
They take money from account without me
They are worst bank
Please dnt go with them
If you really needs to have your money save
Worst bank shame on you
Branch Closure - No Service
I have been a good ANZ customer for 30+ years. During that time I have received reasonable service from the bank.
During the pandemic, my local branch has been 'temporarily closed'. This has caused some inconvenience, as my next nearest branch is is 9km away. I do my banking 50/50 in branch and ATM.
A few weeks ago, I received an e-mail, saying the branch is now 'permanently' closed. The reason being that, "This is what the customer wants" (to use the ATMs).
I contacted the ANZ by e-mail. They did acknowledge receipt, but were otherwise, not in...
Won't electronically transfer funds to a different bank
Went into the Branch at Clarkson WA to electronically transfer $10,000 to the NAB was told they can not electronically transfer to a different bank, when I questioned it was told it could be looked at as Bank fraud. They offered a Bank Cheque or cash. She gave us $10,000 cash and we walked down to NAB and deposited it. The NAB staff we amazed and confused, but where wonderful. I have transferred higher amounts than this with Westpac and Bankwest no problem. ANZ suck.
Had excellent service from the staff at Toronto branch and today I get a letter that it is permanently closed despite previous enquires stating that it will reopen . Absolutely disgusted with ANZ for this decision and after 44 years I will go elsewhere with my investments.. shame on you ANZ
ANZ - Branch closure & VERY BAD service, Forest Hill branch.
I called ANZ about exchanging some foreign currency (July 2020). No worries they said. So I went to ANZ Mount Waverley but the branch was temporarily closed. Quite a few VERY ANGRY customers hanging around outside. So I went to Forest Hill to ask for a currency exchange rate from the teller. No worries the teller said.
So, the next day I went back to the Forest Hill branch to exchange some foreign currency. Sadly the other polite teller was not there. But there were three other people who did not have a clue what they were doing. This time the ...
Jesse Li Brookvale branch
Saw Jesse Li. At Brookvale branch. She was excellent with product knowledge and helped me sort out my loan from interest only to principal and interest. Very good at explaining and patient. Thank you Denise
I have been banking with ANZ for over 20 years. The only positive experience I have had with ANZ is their banking apps ease of use. It’s strait forward and easy to get the hang of.
Now to the negative experiences. ANZ branches are always busy and Centrelink style ticketing system is as frustrating as standing in line waiting to be served. The Banking Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry found that ANZ has been ripping off its customers for years. Just some of the list of ANZ’s miscond...uct included improperly using customer funds, false witnessing of client signatures, falsifying documents, failing to refund customers accounts when they left cash in non-branch ATM cash dispensers and deliberate overcharging. All in the pursuit of profit Now I have been informed that ANZ sneakily closed several of its Perth branches down for good overnight. No notice, no consultation with the community, just a cowardly email sent out in the middle of the night. Bad form ANZ. One star from me
ANZ Ulladulla bank teller didn't listen then told me I wasted her time!
I had to take out more cash than was allowed by my daily limit, and with COVID-19 among other things, I just wanted one trip to the ATM or bank to get the cash. I couldn't find a way to do it online, so did an online chat and was told to call the 13 number. I did and the line dropped out twice. I googled ANZ bank hours and the top hit was - 9:30am–4pm ANZ Branch Ulladulla. So I went to the bank at 1.20pm, to find the bank now closes from 12.30 - 1.30. A staff member coming back from her break told me, while I was reading the sign. I waite...d in my car until 1.30 then went in and spoke to the same person. I explained what had happened when I contacted the bank and what I wanted - to take out $XXX in cash. The teller in the next cubicle heard this and said words to the effect of, that was a lot of trouble to go to, which I thought was an understanding comment. The teller serving me then said I'd have to raise my cash withdrawal limit to $2500 regardless of what I wanted. She then had to read through a manual and worked on the computer before saying she could put the limit at $1400. I said I just need $XXX, and she said, well that was a waste of my time! I thought WOW! I said, what? I'm sorry to waste your time but I just want my money, and she realised what she'd done and started to back peddle. Too late for that I'm afraid. She then asked if I wanted to keep my daily withdrawal limit at that level and I said as I've already explained to you twice, I just need $xx now, this is a one off, which was met with some eye rolling, so I said it doesn't matter. She counted my money and I left. I have no idea what my cash withdrawal limit is now due to a rude bank teller. I just wanted to access my own money while abiding by their rules. There are people out there desperate for any kind of job at the moment, and I had to get this person who doesn't give a damn about customer service, doesn't listen, and is rude. She needs an attitude adjustment NOW. If anyone from ANZ reads these things it's easy to verify what I've said from the other staff member who heard it all, and from your own CCTV. And what did I do before writing this review? I looked at changing banks. Life is too short for this.
i need to change banks

Abysmal, insensitive, and unempathetic customer service at anz parramatta branch (shop 5/244 church st)
I had an ABYSMAL, INSENSITIVE, AND UNEMPATHETIC experience at the ANZ Parramatta branch (Shop 5/244 Church St) today!
The most disappointing part of my experience was the fact that all the staff I dealt with COMPREHENSIVELY FAILED TO LISTEN TO ME AT ALL, independent of whether they were able to satisfy my financial needs!
The woman who greeted me once I entered the store THROUGHLY FAILED TO COMPASSIONATELY LISTEN to my situation and was INTENT ON KICKING ME OUT as she stubbornly believed ANZ could not satisfy my needs. I had travelled a long...way by public transport to arrive at this branch and hence I politely asked whether I could speak to a bank teller in greater detail to clarify my situation and be comprehensively advised of all options available to me, to which she grudgingly acquiesced. Upon speaking to a bank teller a few minutes later, it was clear the staff WERE NOT LISTENTING TO ME, especially when they FREQUENTLY INTERJECTED ME when I was talking and trying to clarify my situation. As I sat in my chair, she continued standing up which I construed as her WANTING TO GET RID OF ME ASAP! My query was regarding the processing fees associated with cashing in a foreign cheque and she quoted me very high fees, which I got the impression were inaccurate, motivated by her WANTING ME TO LEAVE THE STORE ASAP! I 0/5 Stars for CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Where is ANZ for small business??
Government Gaurantee sme. Made an application and with ANZ and heard nothing great way to treat small business. They requested financials which my accountant would need to do. I requested if they could give me an idea if I would get the loan before spending the $6000 on fees. They never replied
Terrible Service no loyalty
My son took a mortgage out with ANZ four years ago and his dad went guarantor for him he has payed every month and hasn't missed a payment. His dad who wants to sell his house now has to have the caveat lifted so my son asked me if I would go guarantor. Two months ago we went to apply again as they make you close the existing loan off then you have to re apply again which is more money. Anyway we filled out the forms and we though that it was just a formality and it had all been done. His dad had an offer on his house and realised that his cave...at hadn't been lifted so my son rung them and they told them that they had been trying to ring him but that was a load of rubbish as he hadn't heard anything in the whole two months. Anyway they told him that his loan had been rejected because he had a sports bet linked to his account and that if there was an interest rise he wouldnt be able to cover the rise. Hello every time there has been an interest drop he has paid the same so he could get a head with the mortgage. They told him to take the sports bet off his account and re apply in three months. Where is the loyalty in that after paying his mortgage for four years without missing a payment. What makes it worse because of the housing market dropping there has been no equity in the house so you keep paying really to cover the drop. I am thinking now of pulling my money out from ANZ as I have been with them for such along time but loyalty counts for nothing these days.
This bank’s services have deteriorated over the years.
I tried to ring ANZ about an urgent matter. They are not even taking telephone calls now. You go through the call selection process and they finally just ring off.
Terrible service, no help, no compassion, NOT THERE FOR YOU AT ALL
ANZ COVID RESPONSE IS HORRIBLE
I have been with ANZ for 22 years. In all that time they have been cold and uncaring, but I always imagined all banks were like that anyway. But during this government-sponsored economy-shutdown, ANZ has been horrid, unfriendly and unwilling to allow payment deferrals, lowering of interest charges, or lowering of fees. Staff have been rude, and even THREATENING. [name removed] HA actually threatened me with immediately reporting my account to bad-credit if I didn't pay $103 overnight. I could not believe his gall.... Is this how they train their staff? To be oafs? ANZ's slogans at this time are "WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER" and "We'll help you get back on top of things". Their actions don't show any of this. ANZ don't answer phone calls. So far the ANZ staff I have spoken to are obnoxious and not willing to assist in anyway whatsoever. All they're interested in doing is selling over-inflated overdraft facilities for 12 months with penalty fees that are even more Draconian than the existing overdrafts they are chasing. People need to protest and riot inside ANZ banks, and bring their management outside onto the streets for a lynching.
No one can sight identity at branch.
Went to the Belconnen branch to get identity verified in order credit card activated. I can't do it online or through chat. The instructions on the letter that came with the credit card has incorrect information. You can't activate your credit card online without the bank first sighting your identity. No staff were able to verify my identity eventhough there were about three four staff around. Told to come back in 1.5 hours time. Terrible service and caused much inconvenience. Never will apply again for any services from ANZ
It was a little bit difficult to get thru lately with COVID but I got a few things settled at the Parramatta branch
The staff were good and resolved my problems
Also they reversed a couple of $37 overdrawn fees
If you need home loan, Stay away from ANZ
I am in a complex situation to get my loan refinance to ANZ.
My first interaction with this bank is with a lender called Leo. He assured me that ANZ will be able to offer me a loan based on my situation.
Fast forward, I was required to call my parents to come in for a guarantor assessment, which is understandable. I am hopeful that ANZ could offer something which is why my parents travel in midst of the COVID-19 infection.
This is where the problem start.
The day I inform Leo regarding this, I was informed that he will be going on leave indefi...
Received terrible service at the inhaler branch just on 30 minutes ago..
No waiting.. Just the woman behind the counter was blunt rude and used no manners
Her name is rose..
She needs to get a written warning for speaking to a long term client of the branch.. Negative stars out of 5
Quick and efficient. Professional- The customer service representative was very helpful and they are always assisting in any way they possibly can. I would highly recommend ANZ , as they are always looking out for their customers.
should be outlawed.
from the take over of Town and Country Bank back in 1996 , is been problems from ever since.customer service was personal and moody I used it for my business too and I was often there...in the cue. Then when I moved oversea they did not support me with the visa and atm card replacements, I lost money and always problems with the online transfers so I default payments to get back at them an still is showing on the account that is still active (having still 2 online savings accounts)
Questions & Answers
Malaga use to be a great branch then a new manager arrived early 2021. Promised me everything and then has never contacted me again even though I have written back many times. I wanted new intertest rates on all my loans obviously this was going to cost them. I have made a complaint to their External Dispute Resolution Team | Customer Resolution Portfolio person and he told me to trust him! I have tried calling and emailed and still hasn't got back to me for over 6 weeks. I have paid 100s of thousands of interest to ANZ over 25 years and am disappointed by their lack of common decency let alone customer service. What can I do to get some answers? Thanks.
1/ Just wondering why your staff are so rude incompetent and unprofessional?
2/ Why does your bank use an offshore centre ( India ) to process loan / credit applications?
3/ What type of customers are you wanting to attract if you shun small business loan applicants, pensioners, people wanting to open new accounts, customers wanting to extend mortgages and purchase investment properties?
4/ When are you going to close your branch in Noosa?, because this community doesnt like your attitude or want you there.
ask the bank. how do you expect the public to know. this is a public review forum for the benefit of the public reviewing products & services its NOT the ANZ bank
I dont why know you be asking that question here for have you thought about actually contacting the bank
