Ordered in November 2020, paid in full, and still waiting for our product. One mistake after the next.
This has been the most disappointing experience for us. We order 6 shutters in November 2020, and so far we have 4 installed. None of those actually work properly (can't open them because the frame is the wrong size). The remaining 2 - we still have no idea when they are to be installed. Last indication was the last week in June or first week of July. Every time I ring to find out the status, staff have left, new staff started and I have to explain our situation again from the beginning. At this stage I just want my money back so I can go to someone else.
Poor and unreliable service
Arranged for a free measure & quote on 6May21 over the phone. A confirmation email was recd advising that this will happen on 18May21 & a consultant will ring the night before or on the morning of the appointment of an approx time of arrival. No calls was received the night before so I rang the office in the morning of 18May21 to double-check. I was then informed that the appointment was scheduled 19May21 instead of 18May21. I emphasised that I was never told that this was rescheduled. Nevertheless, I agreed for the 19May21. This time, I...got a call from the office at around 8:30am that the consultant has a car problem and she doesn't know when the car could be fixed, so she can't give me the time when the measure is going to happen. I indicated that I could attend to him if possible late in the afternoon. However, at around 10:20am the consultant rang me that he can't come to my house in the afternoon but could do it in the morning so I agreed with his time. He said that he'll arrive in an hour's time to my place. 2.5 hours has passed and no consultant has arrived in my doorstep. So, I rang the consultant but no answer after 3 attempts. I decided to ring the office then and for some reason my telephone conversation was cut-off after I have introduced my name. I tried calling again but to be told that the consultant is somewhere else far from my place and can't do my measure & quote that day but was offered another day (24May21), which obviously I have to turn down. I speak and write fluent English & I don't know where the miscommunication has occurred. I had previous appointments on 18May21 but had to reschedule them to accommodate their time. Also, the morning of 19May21, I had to miss my aqua aerobics thinking that this was the only time the consultant could come to my place. I had waited for almost 2 weeks since I rang on 6May21 just to have my schedules mocked up by Apollo.....never again!!!!!!

after a wait of nearly 6 weeks i had the installers turn up for what should have been a simple installation of a roller shutter to replace a couple of sliding glass doors on the rear of my garage. it wasn't long before i received a phone call at work telling me that the installation could not go ahead as the wrong size had arrived from the manufacturer. turns out the area had been measured incorrectly. that's twice i've had them out to measure the job and alas they still can't get that right. i could not believe my ears. my 10 year old kid coul...d have made a better job of measuring the square himself. conveniently the works manager was not at work today nor was anybody else that could have given me an idea of when the job would be completed. now i'm left with a gaping hole in the back of my garage whilst they don't appear to give a rats and they have the hide to charge a 50 % deposit yet they cant even measure an existing square. i'd hate to ask them to do anything remotely technical. i really am having second thoughts about letting these incompetent fools any where near the job. i'm now kicking myself for going with Apollo Blinds Newcastle in the first place. never again!
Still waiting after 6 months.
I contracted with Apollo Blinds Sydney office in Nov 2020 to install 2 blinds. After much chasing, the blinds were finally installed in March 2021 Power was provided adjacent to the blinds, but they could not be connected because the installer did not have the plugs to connect. After he left, the blinds were connected but did not work. One blind unrolled completely over the roof and when retracted wound itself over the roller until the guide wire came off. The other blind did not work at all. When the installer was contacted, he said to contact the office instead for a service call. I sent an email to the Service Manger but have not received a call back from anyone. Seems like legal action is the only recourse.
Very UNSATISFACTORY Service and Terrible Communications

We received a quote for 4 x Enduragard Roller Shutters on 16/09/20.
Our order was placed in September with 50% deposit paid to Apollo on the 24/09/20.
The technicians had to visit twice to take the same measurements!
Then we were asked to make the full payment (which is contrary to the Contract Requirements as blinds were not ready for installation)
Full Payment was made on 13/11/20.
We were advised Installation would happen on 14/12/20 - NOTHING HAPPEND as the installed did not bring the right eq...
Poor Management Loss Of Product To Be Installed
After waiting two months from placing an order for a couple of blinds to the manufacture and delivery of the blinds, the day finally arrive where the blinds would be installed, or so I thought!
After taking some time off work and waiting several hour past the appointed time for the installation of the blinds I phoned Apollo Brisbane Office to find out when the installer would be arriving to install the blinds. The office staff informed me that they had not booked in the installation of the blinds as previously arranged. I had to re-book the...installation of the blinds for the following week ( More Time off work). During the week Apollo Blinds informed me that the external blind had also arrived and would be installed at the same time. An hour before the blinds were to be installed the Brisbane Office phoned and asked if the internal blinds had been delivered as they could not locate them in the warehouse. I informed them that they had not been delivered. The installer arrived several hours late with no contact saying that he would be late. When he finally arrived he informed me that Apollo had to reorder the internal blind and this would take several weeks.
Ordered 5 blinds from Apollo in which my design was very specific. The installation seemed fluid but once installed nothing looked like I ordered and wanted. No managers were accountable, everyone runs away from the true core of the problem. Out of the 5 blinds 3 were installed Despite the design stuff up. The other 2 is on route from Melbourne since mid November. Numerous calls later to Apollo, I find out today that the fabric chosen was out of stock hence why it was delayed but they happily took the full amount for the payment since t...he 15th of November. Apparently they will be delivered next Tuesday but I have my reservation. In fact the same design fault is likely to be in place so it will be re made, re built whatever term they will use to avoid giving me a refund. They are a disgrace and the lack of communication to obtain the truth is astonishing. I will never use their business nor recommend It. I had to send an email today to the top manager to find out the truth and a resolution to my issue. The next step will be taken further if am not satisfied with their response.
Cheap Chinese made material, below quality with no warranty commitment
Ordered bedroom and lounge room shutter blinds last year June 2019. Got them installed in Sep 2019. Lounge room blinds came with incorrect measurements, had to sent off for replacement. Bedroom blinds shutters came off in a few weeks. Have been in touch with Apollo blinds Moorabbin since then with [name removed] the store manager and [name removed] the installer. While I must admit they are to present to speak, but unfortunately my issues haven’t been resolved and it’s been OVER a year now. While the lounge blinds got replaced, the faulty bedro...om blinds have been forgotten and ignored even after me sending email after email, repeated calls and messages, regretfully I am resorting to writing this feedback and as a next step lounging a formal complaint.
Appalling customer service.
Blinds were ordered on 4th August and it’s now 7th September. Initial hold up due to delivery of dirty fabric, however there was NO communication from them. I only found out the day before installation when I rang to confirm. They then called last week to arrange installation for today and the installer turned up with only half the order. They knew this morning that only half the blinds had arrived but again NO communication. The excuse this time...it’s a Monday and we’re busy. Too busy selling, not enough doing! Do yourself a favour and buy your blinds elsewhere. No discount, no compensation for the double stuff ups. I really hope head office reads this review.
Do not go near this mob
A completely unsatisfactory experience with Apollo Blinds Sydney. Unless you are prepared to be mucked around, Do not go near this mob. Wrong COLOUR shutters delivered not once but twice, with wrong SHAPE as well the first time. Absolutely zero communication from anyone at Apollo regarding the stuff-ups (even after we filled in their Customer feedback form). No-one has taken any responsibility for customer liason (I don't think it exists) so we have had to chase THEM every time to find out what actually might be happening. 6 months and still waiting (for "another 4-6 weeks") for one set of shutters.
Rather than go on and on and write a 5000 word essay. The product we purchased Viewline shades were incorrectly measured and according to Apollo that was our fault. So we have a gap in our window and 4 weeks old and the blind cord has snapped. So we can't operate the blinds. Needless to say no one responds they have our money. So now I have disputed the payment with the Bank and when I get the money back I will be replacing with a better product.
It will be interesting to see if the bot from customer service puts on the fake empathy!!!!!!!!

Worse Customer Service ever experienced
I ordered my blinds in Jul19. After several several chases, ALL from my end, also told I MUST pay full upfront, an install happened finally in Feb20. THEN I find, shutters don't match and now one shutters are broken. Faulted out and still waiting for a resolution. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - told all sorts of lies. Result - still not blinds and $5K down.

In Sept 2019, I engaged Apollo to provide a quote on 5 timber look blinds to match my existing blinds, same size slat and pelmet as my existing but different colour. On 21 Dec the blinds were to be installed, however I noticed that when the first blind was installed the pelmet across the top was double the size of my original ones, looked ridiculous and were not the correct ones. When I mentioned it to the installer I was simply told that they are "standard". My reply is that this is not what I ordered.

We received the worst customer service I have ever had from a company through Apollo blinds at Newcastle/Belmont. The wrong shutter colour was ordered when we placed the order back in October 2019 and after blaming my husband the rep then admitted it was their fault and re-ordered the shutters. We were offered "paper blinds" to get us through the summer months. We have only just had them installed after 6 months of following up- being told dates for install that didn't eventuate, waiting on contact from the manager and then escalating to the NS...W franchise manager who spoke to us once and agreed how bad the service was that they didn't even offer to install the wrong coloured blinds to get us through the summer and then didn't bother to follow up again after saying he would meet with the franchise owner. We were expected to pay full price with not even an offer of a small discount for the inconvenience and poor service we'd received. There are many other companies around, please do yourself a favour and pick another I wouldn't wish our experience on anyone!
Worst company I have ever dealt with!
I purchased an exterior blind from Apollo Newcastle to provide shade and shelter on the eastern side of a south facing deck. A rep came out, measured for the blind and gave me a quote. I payed a 50% deposit and signed the contract. The rep later rang to say a mistake had been made and the blind would cost more and I agreed to pay the extra cost. The blind was installed approximately 2 months later and from the start it caused problems; constantly banging which kept me awake all night. The fixer came back and shortened the fixings which f...ixed the banging, however within a week the fixing had ripped out from the deck and the blind had to be wound up. The fixer came back; this time I was told he was using longer screws that went down to the frame of the deck. Why anyone would use 2 short screws to fix a 5 meter blind is beyond me! Also I wasn't happy that they screwed the blind into the expensive spotted gum decking when there were sturdy steel posts available. This repair lasted one week before the blind pulled out from the superficial fixings on the bottom of the blind. Again I called Apollo and another fitter came out and replaced the fittings on the bottom of the blind; that repair lasted less than 24 hours! Apollo has refused to do anything about the problem and the blind has been wound up for over 3 months; providing no shade or shelter for the deck. The Apollo staff are extremely rude and refused to put me through to a manager to discuss the problem; in the end I was forced to contact Consumer Affairs. Consumer Affairs contacted Apollo; STILL Apollo refused to do anything and I was forced to go to mediation. Mediation was a total waste of my time and the two Apollo staff, Apollo STILL refused to budge or do anything on the basis that their blinds must be wound up if there is a strong breeze. Since the 'mediation' Apollo has not contacted myself or my son with an offer to avoid going to the Tribunal which involves time and effort for both parties. How much is Apollo's good name worth? Less than $1,700 (the price I paid for their inferior product). By constantly refusing to back down, Apollo has shown they do not give a damn about their customers or providing after sale service. This is not about the money, it is about principal; Apollo is selling products to customers that are not fit for purpose: an outdoor blind should be reasonable expected to be able to handle a certain amount of windy conditions; in this regard the Apollo blind is a FAIL! Anyone considering purchasing from Apollo, think again! Worst company with the rudest staff I have ever had the misfortune to deal with!

It would depend on which of our products you are looking for, we manufacture blinds and awnings in our Sydney factory as well as using manufactures from other factories in Australia as well as some from overseas.

I find it very strange that for every poor review of Apollo blinds by a verified customer with history of other reviews, there are about 5 or 6 five star glowing reviews from unverified sources with no other reviews under their belts. Could these be coming from Apollo to maintain a high star rating? I suspect not many people write glowing reviews when they just get what they paid for, it’s more likely they review when they don’t!
Many of the unverified positive reviews use the same terminology such as 'the whole process', 'from the beginning to end', 'every part of the sale', 'from the first contact' which is actually a warning sign according to product.review.com.au themselves. Apollo Blinds complies with the guidelines set by ACCC. We currently have 555 reviews including 383 excellent (5 star) reviews so we are not sure where you get “5 or 6 five star” from. The inference that we are fabricating reviews is false. All of our customers are genuine. Product Review guidelines do not make it mandatory to be verified as demonstrated in their statement: “At the discretion of our Moderation Team, we will ask for a proof of purchase after publishing a review.”
Apollo Blinds was recently advised by NCAT that they were surprised companies did not take legal action against customers who are clearly intent on damaging the reputation of a business. Clearly, no business in this world is perfect especially in a made to measure environment but we do have integrity.
Ok, let me start by saying why is this such an issue. I just put a simple review online of a product that i am extremely happy with and some sniveling tool bag comes on and questions my integrity.His opinion to me rates about as high as his iq of 5 or 6. I am an honest individual with integrity and I do not make comments that aren't warranted. I have no affiliation with Apollo blinds nor have I been offered any intensives for the comments I made. I take offence firstly at having my integrity questioned, secondly having my good intentions discredited and thirdly having to follow on with this crap. As a consequence I will not be doing anymore product reviews no matter how good my experience may be. I request that I no longer be contacted on this matter or any other. The only other thing I wish to say is this. The ACCC! Really? They are as effective at policing consumers rights as a labor government is at reducing the deficit.
