I use my iPad In place of my notebook when travelling. It’s great easy to use and light. All the apps I have on my notebook n iPhone are on this allowing for continuity across my profiles.
Purchased in February 2019 at Telstra for A$700.00.
Good but not best
Just an average iPad and has the features the you’d expect. Screen durability is bad but the performance is good. I have not broken the screen btw. All in all, it is a good tablet for everyday use
IPad Pro on a budget
The 2019 version of the iPad Air has most features found on the iPad Pro, such as True Tone (adapts depending on the lighting), Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard compatibility and thinner bezels like on the iPad Pro 10.5”. Two things which are missing are the faster “X” variant of the A12 chip (not that you’ll notice unless you’re doing anything graphics-heavy) and the ProMotion Display (again, you won’t really notice unless you have previously used an iPad Pro 10.5” or newer).
The A12 chip is FAST. You won’t notice any lag if you’re using the ...iPad Air for computer things like social media, University work and consuming media. Even most games run fine. The only reason I’d recommend the slightly more powerful iPad Pro 11 (or 12.9”) is if you’re editing 4K video or have very high expectations. If you’re not one of those people, save some money and opt for this model instead. Like I said above, it has most of the features found in previous generations of the iPad Pro (smart connector and Apple Pencil) minus a few small inclusions.
