One has to have rocks in one's head to deal with this company.
I have endured many Apple interactions over the years and not one, single, one was a pleasant experience. Nor was there any acceptable resolve, and no good outcomes. It is a vile company who treats its customers with outright contempt. Prearranged callback calls do happen within 2 minutes but then one is often kept waiting "on hold" for ages until somebody feels inclined to converse with you. The so-called Apple trade-ins are farcical as only the latest phones are considered viable. What is the point as many would want to retain their Apple iPh...ones for at least 5 years considering the huge outlay. Notwithstanding that their products are overrated, overstated and overpriced, Apple, as a result of slick marketing, seem to have a humongous cult following. So all complaints, faulty product reviews, negative customer experience reviews by the informed few, are discarded with outright impunity. With Apple, the greed factor reigns supreme. And the Apple track record says it all - In Chile, in a class action by 150,000 iPhone users, sued Apple, claiming that their devices began slowing down after installing software updates released prior to 21 December 2017. France's competition watchdog has also fined Apple €25 million ($40.88AUD million for deliberately updating older iPhones with software that slowed devices down. In the USA, Apple had to pay $113USD million ($151AUD million) to settle an investigation by nearly three dozen US States into the tech giant’s past practice of slowing customers’ old iPhones in an attempt to preserve their batteries. Investigators from 34 States and the District of Columbia, including Democratic and Republican attorneys general, joined the settlement. Estimated costs to Apple - in excess of $500USD million. Ominously, my iPhone 5S had been slowing down with more and more megabytes being consumed by the Apple iPhone operating System than ever. My iPhone 5S System constantly consumed more than half of the available 16MB memory - forcing me to buy a new iPhone SE 2020 phone. I had numerous issues with the iPhone SE 2020 phone and Apple initially agreed to swap it for a iPhone 12 / Mini. They later reneged on their offer, citing ill-informed, poorly trained and incompetent staff had erred in judgment and had no bearing on the said offer, so they were able to rescind accordingly. Adding to consumer woes is that greedy, money-mad Apple now exclude essential accessories as in chargers and EarPods with all new iPhones. Something like buying a car and then having to pay extra for the wheels..... One has to have rocks in one's head to deal with this company.
Trade ins are a scam. You will likely not get one. Irresponsible business practices.
Unfortunately, I am used to using iphones so when I needed a new phone I purchased one from apple Australia. I had an old iphone 6 to trade in, a phone they accepted on their site for a whopping $45 trade in. I sent it in and today received it back with no explanation as to why it was returned. So this thing traveled via dhl 4 ways up and back, it was still working but needed a new battery because it is a very old phone, DUH. Waste of time, energy, resources. The shipping alone likely cost more than the offered trade in price. No communication ...whatsoever, I would have told them to recycle it for free had they communicated with me. In short Apple prefers to pay staff and shipping companies for their time and resources to return an accepted and working trade-in, rather than pay out the princely sum of $45.00 dollars, or even just communicate with you to allow you to junk it. Very crappy environmentally irresponsible practices. And such tight wads.
I absolutely dread contacting Apple. Their products are expensive, not reliable and when the devices inevitably die because of faulty software there is no support. Over a decade long experience of abysmal customer service, staff that are arrogant and think they are always correct even when they are not, untrained staff who only want to sell you the most expensive product and with technical support that is equal to the major telecommunications companies with their incompetence and understanding of IT and technical support.
Worst customer service. A company with no moral fiber. Disgraceful conduct, deceitful and dishonest. Advisors that promised to amend an issue, then changed their mind with no communication and when I called to enquire why, simply hung up on me.

Apple Online will take your money and make you wait for your product
On the 27th May we ordered and paid for a pack of four air-tags online to pick up at the Booragoon Garden City store. Got a notification that apple will email me when the air tags are ready. I waited a week and no notification came. My friends visited the store and purchased air tags and told me they had plenty of them in stock. On the 3rd June I visited the store and asked if my order was ready, the apple staff member told me they had no air tags is stock and I will get a notification email when they are ready. I then approached another staff...member and asked if I can purchase some air tags. He said yes they have plenty in stock so I paid for a four pack and left. I then went home and cancelled my online order. Moral of my story - don’t waste your time ordering and paying for products through the Apple Online Store. They will take your money, make you wait for the product and the physical store staff will lie to you about stock availability. Not good enough Apple!

My Apple care for Apple Watch expired just 35 days ago and Apple would not extend it because it expired. They did not send any notification about the expiry( but yes, they send notification about their new products..all the time!!!!) and when I called the support care, they just bluntly said no for an extension without any consideration for the customer and hanged up! This is horrendous!! Not worth spending so much money when there is no proper support for the service. Do Not recommend buying Apple products. Period.
Essentially told I wasn’t required as a customer anymore. Call staff were great but enacting a business directive.

Overcharge developers and then you take our apps down in a criminal manner
Apple needs to be sued for taking down apps from developers who are still paying the ridiculous fees. All while Apple allows criminal acts to take place on other apps (but they turn their head).

Apple offered $175 trade in on an iPad Air 2.
On review by the receiving agent $40 was offered.
The reason given ..... a bent screen.
The iPad was in perfect condition.

They somehow remain immune to any due process or consequences of their thieving modus despite the countless current and ex Apple users who have reported breaches in their contracts and money fraudulently withdrawn from their bank accounts. I found the same product on ebay sites and it was at a mid-price, but I preferred to buy it from Apple in order to get the original product, and I also paid an increase to get me faster, and the result was a dirty product as if it was used and the quality of a very bad product
Bad customer service
I purchased a hemmes Apple Watch. I had problems with the watch. Apple replaced it with a faulty watch. So two months later and I was told I could get a refund if steps are taken. We did it all. Then I was told the watch needs to be returned. If faulty then a full refund. I then received an email that they replaced tge watch. It arrived opened and not sealed. Contacted Apple and told them. They said because they replaced the watch that I can’t get a refund. That’s not what we agreed on. They told me that even though the watch was opened that it...’s not damaged so end of story. I have an email from Apple US saying they should refund and am taking them to court. You pay so much fir Apple products and especially hemmes. I have a lot of Apple stuff but I will not use Apple now as you can not trust them. I’ve never been lied to like Apple has. See you in court Apple.
Apple are online predators
The Apple Store preys on children's desire to be accepted and 'cool' in the online world. Their in-game marketing is light years ahead of children's thinking and decision-making. My son made in-game purchases for gems, or such rubbish, which I attempted to reverse the same day. Apple resolutely refused to refund the purchase. They did not become one of the world's richest company by being decent. They are smarter than your kids. They prey on their vulnerabilities. They do not refund. They are evil.
