Apple Canberra is terrible
I booked a shopping session on Saturday, 2 January 2021, 11:45 am - 12:00 pm to trade in my iPhone X and purchase iPhone mini. The sales assistant did not know anyting and had to ask everything someone else and he looked like he wanted to get rid of me, but he couldn't find the reason. Finally he found one, he asked me if I had physical driver's licence that they needed for a trade-in. I said that I have digital licence, he then looked happy and relieved and said that unfortunately they cannot do a trade-in without physical driver's licence. In...Read more
other words, Apple do not accept valid form of digital ID. Apple Canberra wasted my time as if it was nothing. They did not mention during booking process that they will require physical licence for a trade-in and that Apple do not accept digital driver's licence. Shocking!Similar opinion? Products overpriced and do not match advertisements
After years of being a loyal customer, I am amazed at how the store responds to faulty products. I brought a brand new Apple Watch which was advertised showing a drill on the glass and not scratching. I went in the creek and somehow the face had numerous scratches to it. Took it back to the store to say it is meant to be scratch resistant and was just told, okh you hav scratched it and Refused to swap or repair. Also, my battery expanded dangerous out of warranty and was told just get a new phone. Terrible response to faulty products.

iPhone 10 Repair
Appointment for a recall on iphone 10 at Doncaster on 6 Dec 2020. Walked into store with a perfect iphone screen, walked out with a damaged screen. Response was that they do not take responsibility for any damages Store did not offer to fix my screen, this caused me to be extremely anxious and disappointed. Where is the duty of care to customer. Customer Service by staff member who returned my phone was absolutely appauling. iPhone 10 recall issue was not fixed.

WHat is going on people
Apple store still concerned about the COVID virus. Only shop in Robina centre
Had to have an appointment to enter store. Was in the queue of 10 people.
An Apple staff member standing to one side responsible for handing out face masks.
His mask was off and he had his finger up his nose. In public. Disgusting.
5 people in queue were watching and immediately left the queue.
Apple, Are you people for real. What circus is this.

Worst experience in a long time
I have been an Apple loyal for years and spent thousands on their products. The last visit to the Chadstone store was the worst experience ever. We had to make appointments etc which is understandable with the current situation, however after a day of waiting the person who served us clearly needed more product training and customer skills. Very judgmental and did not have any product knowledge at all. I am taking this further with their store manager, provided they are trained as well and know what they are talking about

Repair rip-off
My daughters iPhone was 2 weeks out of warranty when the phone wouldn’t charge and the message was along the lines of plug to software. She did and still not working. She took her phone into Canberra Apple and asked for repair, they quoted $800, so she opted to buy a new phone instead.
I asked her for the phone and I took it to a local repair shop for a quote. (Not Apple store). In Sydney.
Outcome was $115 fixed and now my phone.
This is totally outrageous, she bought a new iPhone that was more than $1000.
She had recently bought a house so therefore not flashed with cash.
So my message to anybody out there with a technical issue go elsewhere! Also, if you opt for a new phone don’t leave your old one for them to fix and resell.

Discrimination against people with mask exemptions
The Apple store at HIGHPOINT Mall in Melbourne discriminate against people with mask exemptions & do not allow you to enter the store for your appointment. They treat you like you are carrying the virus or worse, the bubonic plague. I don’t recommend anyone with a medical condition & exemption visit this store.

Won’t be buying Apple anymore. Still dodgy company
Bought phone 2 years ago and it just went out of warranty (2 months ago whilst in lockdown) and what do you know, the black screen of death appears and it now cost $600 to fix the phone!?! You’re kidding right Apple? Still up to your old tricks. Don’t trust them anymore. Went to the store and they were hopeless in helping to make a booking for repairs. Getting a Samsung now. Apple does not care for its customers. Disgusting.

Rubbish. Buy anything but an Apple computer.
The Apple desktop we bought in 2018 is the worst computer we have had! It takes 20-30 minutes to start Chrome and/or iTunes!! Imagine waiting 20 minutes to start a car...

WHAT A JOKE!
I've always stuck with apple because of the high quality and service. The ball has been dropped on both accounts with my recent apple purchase, an iMac.
1. it's so slow, I may as well have a slab of rock and a chisel
2. replacement of components - tech didn't even finish setting me up when he left leaving me without access to the computer.
3. apple tech support have been unsympathetic and mostly unhelpful
4. referred to a third party repairer for another assessment where I'm then told if nothing is deemed wrong with the machine a...Read more

RUDE AND ARROGANT
Went to service and repair an I-Pad. Made an appointment (why was it necessary as there were only ever 3-4 other customers in the Hornsby store. At one stage there were 8 staff standing against the back wall chatting amongst themselves. The only ones working consistently were the cleaners wiping down the same desks every few minutes. The person helping me had to get several computers as some were "not working as they should" and there were faulty cords. After just 90 minutes success. It seemed like a difficult process for "an update", sti...Read more
ll what do we mere mortals understand The Manager chatted and was quite dismissive, and in many ways appeared arrogant. Advice: Make an appointment, expect to be there a while but don't expect "awesome" service. Oh, and they have zero sense of humour.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Forced to wipe phone because of bad advice
Went into Apple to purchase a phone cover. Whilst chatting with the assistant I told them I forgot my passcode but could enter the phone with the finger print. They told me not to worry, keep trying as if I got locked out I could use the passcode. Wrong. I got locked out for a minute, they said, no issue that I can enter with my finger print once the minute was up. Also wrong. Long story short, Apple had to wipe my whole phone in order to start again. Thank goodness I knew my Apple ID & could get that password. When I asked why the staff gave m...Read more
e that advice she said “oh, it’s not my area” .. so why give advice to customers if you don’t know what you’re doing?! When I relayed this to management, they said it’s not her fault because I came in with a locked phone. So she lied, to get herself out of trouble and not once did I hear an apology. Not a single sorry. Really poor service, Apple. For a multi billion dollar company, you should know better.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Crap service
5days to replace a screen on iPhone 8. Wow what a joke and no option but to accept.
Classic example of company that has become too big.
Won’t be buying any more Apple products.

Dreadful
My MacBook Air which is only 13 months old wouldn’t turn on so I took it to one of the only 2 stores in Perth ( 2 million people What!).
I arrived got to find people queued up on the road outside to get in , the attendant said “oh you want a chat with somebody ? That’s a 3/4 hour wait”.
Ok I thought I’ll wander around , I came back at the appointed time only to be told “oh you have to wait another hour! “
So essentially they wanted us to wait on the road for almost two hours ! That’s the worst service I have ever had , Wow! That’s what happens when you give a multinational a virtual monopoly. Don’t buy Apple their service is crap.

Deceived at Apple Castle Tower Store
I visited Apple store at Castle Towers on the 26th July 2020 for a screen protector installation for two apple phones. The lady started placing my screen protector and I trusted she knows what she is doing. She gave me the phones back and I was surprised of how fine this screen protector is to the point that it covers my whole screen, but she smiled and said it’s always nice to have a fresh look. Two weeks later, on the 13th August 2020, my phone fell by accident and the screen broke. It’s not the first time my phone falls, and I had it for alm...Read more
ost 2 years now and always had the regular screen protector and it fell before but never for once broke. I thought maybe the damage is on the screen protector as it happened to me before and the screen protector took the hit. When I tried to remove it, it is when I realized that my phone does not has a screen protector. I was shocked and I asked my husband to try pull it out but no, nothing was there. I then went and got my other phone tried to pull the screen protector, but it wasn’t there as well. I was clearly deceived by Apple. At that point I was not concerned at all about the broken screen my frustration and anger was all because I trusted Apple as a worldwide well known company with this effortless job and I never thought for once that their employees could be so incompetent to the extend that they screw up on fitting a screen protector and all this time I was under the impression that I had one fitted! I went back to the store on Thursday 13th August, asked to speak to the store manager, a lady came to me, I explained what happened and mentioned clearly that the other lady did attempt to install my screen protector but it seems like she thought she did or it went wrong! She said they need to investigate the CCTV camera which I 100% supported. She came back saying it shows on the camera the lady was fitting it, which is not what I’m arguing because I mentioned from the minute I walked into the store that I was there and she did attempt to fit it but it seems like when she pulled the upper film she pulled the whole screen protector out with it. She then said she’ll demonstrate to me how a screen protector is placed. While she did it I stopped her at the point where the lady might have gone wrong, and I explained what happened exactly and she should go back to her recordings and check closely if the screen protector is actually on the phone after she was done. She refused claiming they already did, and she is happy to demonstrate it the way the lady did it to show me I’m wrong. When she started fitting it, that’s when the screen protector started to pull out with her, but because she is aware of the situation she stopped, gave it a push and then pulled the upper film. When I pointed this out, she said that could happen but not with two phones. I told her it’s the same lady who did both so it could be that she pulled it hard both times, and asked her how can she be so sure and demanded that I see the recording, she said she can’t show me the recording and she can’t be so sure of what happened because she wasn’t there at the time but because I’m saying it happened with both phones that’s why she knows 100% it’s impossible. In short, she was telling me you are lying indirectly. She then asked how she can help me because she can’t see they hold any responsibility and said they are happy to repair my screen at my own cost. I told her it’s not my mistake that my screen is full of scratches because of their incompetence, she said the scratches don’t matter and she can’t be sorry for that since the screen is broken now. I told her this could have been avoided if I had a screen protector on she said this regular screen protector does not protect the screen from breakage, I told her yes but it could have prevented it or at least prevent the scratches. And I told her I can’t believe I’m actually saying this but I’m happy the screen broke because if it didn’t and I didn’t attempt to remove the screen protector I would have never known that I never had one on both phones. She then said they can’t be held responsible for anything and she is 100% sure the screen protectors were fitted which means I’m making this up to have my phone repaired. I honestly couldn’t care less about the screen or the phone but the fact that this happened at an Apple store and how they are willing to rip-off customers Infront of their faces and not honor their staff incompetency is just disappointing and clearly shows how cheap they are becoming. I’m not sure if it’s only this branch but beware people check your things before you leave, take receipts and even videos if you have to, don’t trust the staff at the Castle Towers branch. They could easily scam you with sweet talk and you walk out not knowing what is awaiting you if you come back or complain of something. Seems like they are masters or rip-off. This is now with the NSW Fair Trading and I'll take it as far as I could because for me it's not the phone or screen it's the concept that I was deceived then made a liar at an Apple Store.Similar opinion?
