Visited Apple Store Carindale with damaged product (covered by AppleCare).
Advised that an appointment was needed (no specification as to the type of apptmt) and also advised an incorrect price for replacement of ipad.
Went home, made on line booking for a new ipad because thats what I wanted and there was no obvious option for replacement (its not a repair, but later i was to find out that this was the option I should have selected- silly me its replace, not repair but duh)

Apple store complaint
I visited the Apple highpoint store in VIC on the 28/Jan around 3.30 PM in regards to iPhone 12 Pro silicone case exchange warranty issue.
Was served by a lady cacusaian medium hair length blonde. Approached and advised the case was bought on the Jan 05 /2021 and started to show signs of failure within the case in particular splitting and volume up and down button area component protruding bit outside which is abnormal . I explained that this is unreasonable quality and a manufacturing defect , the lady replied, this i...s normal wear and tear, how can it be wear and tear and normal as it has only been used under 30 days and does the product in this instance (iPhone case) does not come with reasonable quality and should be lasting a reasonable period of time not 30 failure within 30 days? She had a quick chat with the manager -male , came back and told me nothing they can do . I said fine, can I at least talk with the manager to explain bit more in-depth explanation, she refused, gave the same answers back and in the end did not even ask the manager. She said she cannot help me and ask me to leave the store , this is a very rude and bad customer service , have I offended anyone here? , I have not sworn or say anything to anyone , all I request is reasonably to have a quick chat with the manager in charge. She said im wasting everyone’s time , with the amount of products I have purchased from Apple store before I am very appalled by the negative experience this sales staff has replied to me in. I don’t blame the manager as he is doing his only thing, but at the very least the lady serving me needs to learn some people skills and learn to have empathy towards customers. I said okay no worries, I will have a chat with ACCC and make a formal complaint, I kindly asked name of her and the manager’s name but did declined. Hence, I walked out of the store and the lady spoke to the security guard and said “ do not let this guy come again, they are all like this “ . At this point I am very upset and have left the store and I felt racially discriminated as why does she need to use the word “ They are all like this “, don’t let him in again” . As a customer, I have not even shouted or yelled at anyone, but spoken in a reasonable way, I am very upset by this and wants the store manager in charge or Apple to get in touch with me directly to solve this complication. I went home, talked to apple advisor, sent them a pic of the phone photo, they will mail the iPhone case out due to warranty defect, where is Apple’s customer value and pride is this how everyone should be treated especially by this lady , representing the “APPLE brand” ??

Bought phone 2 years ago and it just went out of warranty (2 months ago whilst in lockdown) and what do you know, the black screen of death appears and it now cost $600 to fix the phone!?! You’re kidding right Apple? Still up to your old tricks. Don’t trust them anymore. Went to the store and they were hopeless in helping to make a booking for repairs. Getting a Samsung now. Apple does not care for its customers. Disgusting.

I've always stuck with apple because of the high quality and service. The ball has been dropped on both accounts with my recent apple purchase, an iMac.

Apple them self are probably the worst and narcissistic company that is out there,Ive spent weeks trying to get data from a phone. As it was important and was told by Apple it isn't possible!, Turns out it is. I went to a 3rd party store and they had it repaired in 2 hrs they completely board swapped the chips and my data was saved.
I was not satisfied by the apple store customer service due to me going there to repair my phone and had booked a day to fix my phone I was not allowed to go in the store nor was allowed time to get my phone checked and they had gave me a limited time to get a new phone which I was not there for and was told that I had a remaining time of 15 minutes to pick a new phone and get out which caused an argument between me and the employee as for the employees there were disrespectful and rude. Would never go back there.
Absolutely Terrible Customer Service
Apple has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
My 1.5 year old 2018 MacBook air randomly died on me without me dropping it or anything so I went to the genius bar to figure out what’s happening. 30 years of Apple and now I am thinking of other options
I bought a 7th generation iPad which I use just for my Sonos. I picked it up the other day, fingers underneath thumb on top and it cracked where my thumb was. I only bought this recently and use it rarely. I booked an appointment at Macmedic and they told me I should take in to the Apple store because they had to prepay to send it in, amount $518 which is about what I paid for the new unit at Officeworks.

NEVER BUY APPLE
Took a laptop for repairs and they said would fix flickering screen for no cost! Get a call a few days later telling they found the screen was not faulty so a board had to be changed at a cost of $600! The criminals just suck u in to leave the unit there and pluck some ridiculous figure from there backsided to make extra money! Pack of criminals! Apple has made me sick! I urge anyone not to buy their overpriced rubbish that last no more than 3 years!

I got my iPhone7 replaced on Feb, and then it stopped working from April again! I got a refurbished junk!! The receiver doesn’t work, and the customer support online suggests it might be a service provider or a software issue? I’m using the same service provider in another handset works perfectly fine! And voice WhatsApp both broken, how can be a software issue? And on top of that camera is not clicking! Whatever happened to apple integrity.

My iPhone XS MAX started playing up. For no obvious reason, the display would freeze and not respond to any touch input. I contacted the Apple support per chat and was offered to take the phone to the Apple store for a check-up. The screen was in good physical condition, the back, however, had a crack in it.
After waiting a bit i was greeted by an Apple employee. She ran the diagnostics and told me that there were no faults found. She offered me a solution to do a software update to the same software i have had on my phone or to get the phone ...repaired. For a ridiculous amount of $880 and i believe that was even before tax. Or i should upgrade my plan with Vodafone and get a new phone from them. Despite the fact that my phone was only about 6 months old. She tried everything besides offering a service through Apple. She insisted that i can't get the phone repaired under warranty because of the damage on the back of the phone. After a few minutes of discussion with her, i asked her nicely that she gives me in writing that Apple refuses to honor the warranty just because the back was cracked. She said no problem and went to the back of the store. A few minutes later she came back but without the paperwork, i asked for. Instead, she asked if she could take my phone with her for a few minutes which i agreed to. Again a few minutes later she came back and said that the display will get repaired under warranty and told me to be back in about 40 minutes. I returned to the store at the time she told me to and my phone was already waiting repaired for me. It is disgusting to see that Apple tries everything possible to send away customers with legit warranty claims. It is disgusting that Apple tries to send customers to their telecom providers just so they don't have to deal with it. I have heard of some may people lately making similar experiences and that Apple tries everything to avoid repairs that are obviously covered by warranty. At such a premium price we should be allowed to hope for half-decent service.
Not so smart
It’s some times difficult to find help, however once you do, things get easy and smooth. Apple warranty is great, no fuss of phone is under warranty you are looked after.
So 3750 dollars later apple tech today tells me device is not fit for purpose so why sell them if a product is a few months out of warranty how is it not fit for purpose and no i do not want to buy newest gadget just a reliable product obviously something apple can not give

They do bad warranty service. They tell it is done and fixed but do not even spend a minute to switch a device on and check if an issue is really fixed. Apple mac books cost as a plane but reliable as a china calculator. Do not buy it!
Half a year ago I bought a new 2019 macbook pro 13inc. During this period there were some issues like screen flickering a few times per day or hangings on. This is the first apple mac book in my life and I did not expect any magic from it to work without any problems and did not pay any real attention on it.
Apple Store - Highpoint Melb. Zero customer after sales customer service
Purchased and installed Screen cover for iPhone. Within 2 weeks the screen snapped in half even though I have a flip phone case and phone wasn’t dropped. Rang store & was advised by I think name Adriana? There’s nothing they can do and as far as she’s concerned... the screen did its job.
I proceeded to contact the manufacturer and was told their screens have 2 yr warranty and they have offered me a replacement.

Genius bar not honest
I need to replace the ear phone and be rejected. The staff wrote a report of physical dent and there is no dent on it. The right set of ear phone had not been working before any damage but I just did not want to bother if I can hear with the let side and the another party still can hear me. The staff is rude and dishonest without any objectivity. I regret so much brought Iphone pro max. will definitely change to another brand for my next phone.
History with Apple macbook, imac & iphone.
Since 2010 I have paid Apple $18,100aud and this has been my experience.
For background I own & operate an IT business that covers office setups, repairs, creative design, marketing...etc. Not a noob, definately annoyed. I'll list these newest to oldest:
- Macbook 2019 16" (max spec): Endless bugs and issues related to the T2 security chip, including restarts, freezes, screen glitching and audio popping. All to do with T2 doing things the intel chip is meant to and Apple haven't developed it properly....yet. These bugs are with all the machin...es. Unsuable in a professional setting and looking online there's waves of returns already. Mine's 3 weeks old and all I've done is debug it and get value out of my AppleCare+. $7000aud - Macbook Pro 2016 13" (no touch bar): 2 keyboard replacements (one in first 2 weeks) with light use and device clean as possible, hardly leaving the house. 2.5 years after owning it, Apple issue a recall for a faulty battery. I visit their website, serial is part of the faulty batch. Book it in for replacement, refused as "it was fine". Battery expands a week later, Apple remove serial number from serviceable devices and tell me they won't touch it. Supplying me with a factory defect then a staff memeber taking it upon themselves to decide my machine is fine cause it looks clean without testing cost me a computer. Thanks Apple. $2500aud - iPhone X 256gb: Touch screen issue on purchase, instant replacement. $1800aud

* Ive had this issue with my iPhone X since I purchased it in July 2018. I addressed the issue when I returned from holidays in November. They ran tests, completely reset my phone and even changed the speaker over 2 visits to the Apple store (2 hour drive away). After being assigned to [name removed] from senior Apple support with the software engineers working on the issue, I was promised a fix with the software update in January. It did nothing. I contacted [name removed] in Feb and she never resp...onded to my calls or emails. Ive recently contacted Apple again and they have not helped me. These senior Apple advisors included [names removed]... again, all of who disappear after contact. Ive even tried to return it to Officeworks (where I purchased it) and they dont have a loan phone while they send mine off for diagnostics and repairs. Apple want me to do another diagnostic test, even though they have 2 from November and a video of my phone playing up. Apparently this isnt enough proof. But clearly, as shown here, there is a fault in the software. Horrendous! Apple GENIUS Deleted 8 Years Worth of Data Including All My Photos.
Went in the George Street Apple Store with a faulty display of iPhone X. During the process, the Apple GENIUS Technician I was handed over to asked me if I had backed up my data. I said no. He then said: well I can see that it was last backed up 2 weeks ago; if you have time I can back it up now. To which I advised that I was not in a rush and happy to wait. I said: to be honest, I dont care about messages, I only care about my photos.
My daughter is now 12 years old. All photos and videos of her and our special moments together over the las...t 8 years are now gone forever. No longer in my iCloud account (I thought the purpose of an iCloud account was to store your data). Previous to this, I had upgraded phones and never had a problem with losing data. I entered the store with a very simple problem and left without over 8,000 photos. I have asked if I can recover data previously saved at ANY point, say from 2 years ago but apparently there is no data to recover as the last backup has overridden everything. I have been offered no compensation whatsoever. My response from the Apple software team over the phone has been that data backup is the customers responsibility. I appreciate that, however I didnt override or delete anything. I wrongly put my trust in an Apple Genius Technician. Jesus Christ if they dont know what settings your phone should be on and how to safely backup your data, then how do they expect the average customer to.
apple service worth less than an apple with a bite taken out
I have purchased for my business over the space of ten years 4 desktop Macs, 2 MacBooks, five iPads and I have lost count of the amount of iPhone I have purchased lets say maybe a dozen. 18 months ago I brought an iPhone X for $1800, within a couple of months I dropped it at work, and put a crack in the backside of the phone, the phone worked perfectly fine but I had it repaired at my own expenses nonetheless. only about two months ago it began to freeze up it got worse until it completely froze up. apple refused to fix it (despite paying for t...he extra warranty cover at the retailer) they said it had an "unauthorised modification", this apparently voided all warranty and possibilities of repair through apple despite my offer to pay for the repair. I then see on their website that you can trade in your old phone and pay $599 for the latest version, I asked what they do with the old phone they explained that they are recycled, I said so they are chucked away? Yes!, so I offered to trade in my phone then they back peddled denying me this option also. I have never claimed a repair on any of the above mentioned apple devices except this one time, and I'm denied any and all possibilities to replace or repair my phone its disgusting. I will never purchase another apple again!
