MacBook Pro 2016 4 TB Ports - Apple refuses warranty repairs - Authorized service provider useless
I own a 2016 MacBoook Pro 4TB ports. Over time it developed a few issues and i contacted Apple for a repair. I got an appointment booked which Apple cancelled because of Covid. No alternative appointment was offered, no mail-in no nothing.
I contacted the customer support again and was told that my options are to either wait until the stores reopen or to take it to an authorized service provider. Even if the computer was ridiculously expensive Apple refuses to take care of it. Sends you to a contractor and washes their hands off.
In my case, ...the display is covered by a service program because there have been hundreds of thousands of complaints and Apple at some point admitted that there was an issue with the flex cable and started a service program. My display has a very small damage to the bottom of it, not on the LCD area itself. A normal person would assume that this would be irrelevant since there is a service program and Apple very well knows that there are issues with it, but no. Not Apple. Despite being well aware of the issues and having basically a recall for it they want to charge me $828 for a display replacement of a display that they know has been manufactured faulty. Due to the small damage to the display the authorized service provider refused to do any other repairs. One of the reasons for that was that he simply didn't have the time to deal with Apple about it. I was literally explained that he won't repair my keyboard or faulty Touch Bar or even faulty TB3 ports because of the display. Fully independent issues but hey, Apple can afford to brush iff customers like that. Imagine you buy a computer at Harvey Norman and they refuse a warranty claim on the keyboard because of damage to the display. Only Apple can afford to crap on customers like that and i for sure will never again spend one cent on their heavily overpriced, low-quality products.
Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced
My 12 year old daughter needed a laptop for high school so I purchased a macbook air. After 5 months, it stopped working completely. Faulty product. It took over a week to get an appointment with Apple Penrith. I arrive and they state if I show them invoice they would replace the faulty product. I went back with my receipt, they went and got new laptop, asked my daughter to pick a colour, put it in bag for us then out of no where said we can't replace your laptop as the computer won't let us. This was beyond ridiculous and I left with my fault...y product. Spoke with about 6 different Snr advisors who were meant to look after my complaint. None of them ever returned my calls or emails and I would ring back and get another snr advisor. Anyway, after 3 weeks, they finally decide to send me a new laptop through TNT which is going through China and I've been told to expect lengthy delays due to TNT's backlog (that's a whole other story). I could not just go to an apple store or get a new one sent to me from online store and pick up replacement as I was desperate as daughter was missing out on school. My daughter has now been 5 weeks without a laptop due to the product being faulty, and I still don't have it. There is no complaints process and Apple do not care one bit about customer service. Just got to accept their disgusting service. There is nothing I can do but wait. Their Snr advisors are a joke, they ignore you so you ring back and get a new Snr advisor, WORST SERVICE EVER. Replacing the faulty product should not have been this difficult. If they had of made just a little effort and showed some sort of service, I'd have a replaced laptop now.
Horrible horrible service, i will never buy from apple again. my camera on my iPhone is not working, been on the phone with apple for weeks trying to get a appointment, finally managed to make one last week, today i show up to my surprise that a appoint was never made, asked the guy if i could line up he said no and that i could not wait as there is not enough time today. i will be getting a refund for my iPhone under the Australian law, screw apple

The Death of Apple
What made Apple stand out from the others was it’s great customer service and quality products. Apple is a far cry from when Steve Jobs ran the show. Today’s customer service is mean spirited, being more concerned with profit margins than providing an outstanding service it was once renowned for. Waiting weeks (or like my current order months) for your orders to arrive..then having to deal with TNT couriers. Then there is the exorbitant price hikes for new products that have barely evolved and using technology that has been utilised by other b...rands for months, there is nothing exciting or innovative coming out of Apple. As a loyal customer of 15 years and having spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company, I am unfortunately, neck deep in the Apple ecosystem. But, with each year my loyalty is dissolving, I am fed up with the disappointment I get when dealing with Apple. My next phone will not be a iPhone.... I am going into Apple rehab and weening myself off the Apple ecosystem.
Hardware issue outside of warranty- sent to store for a fix which was to be told buy a full price new IPhone.
Have been speaking with the Apple techs now for weeks about my iPhone 8s plus restarting during phone calls. Till the point they said you need your your phone checked in store as we have done all tests possible over the phone. After waiting weeks for an appointment, I was told by the tech after a 3 minute check of my case file that there’s nothing they can do since this is a hardware issue. Only then did they tell me my iPhone was also out of warranty and the only solution was to buy a new iPhone. Wish they had told me over the phone and not wa...sted my time. Very disappointed with the experience. No discounts for new phone offered despite this being a hardware issue outside of my control and I’m certain I was sent to apple as a marketing ploy to get me to buy a new phone.
Absolutely Terrible Customer Service
Apple has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
My 1.5 year old 2018 MacBook air randomly died on me without me dropping it or anything so I went to the genius bar to figure out what’s happening. The consultant said “it just happens sometimes,” pretty much admitting that their products are trash in quality. After that, he quoted me $850 to get it fixed. Apple & TNT
After 2 weeks of rerouting, delays, and whatever, the tracking info of my Apple order showed that my item will arrive today 3rd July before 18:00 pm. It didn't. I wasted a whole day waiting and lost my income for this day too because I can't work and wait on-site at the same time. No update, no info, no phone contact. I have no idea how long I still need to wait. I am talking about a maximum configured MacBook Pro 2016. I am talking about a valuable purchase which I had to work very long and hard to be able to afford. A disgrace. I am shocked that Apple (which I highly respect) is contracting such a nightmare of delivering company.
The BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE at Apple Rundle Mall in Adelaide (SA)
The guys at Apple Rundle Mall store in Adelaide offer an INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... every time I have been there and had an issue with my phone, I was taken care of. Everyone that served me was helpful and professional, kind and made me feel good about any questions I had. I own an Iphone 11, MacBook Air and an Ipad 6th generation... and I love apple products. I've had some issues with previous iphones but I must admit, every time I visited the Rundle Mall store it was a very positive experience.

I repeated myself a moment latter to stop him from suggesting ideas that didn’t work for me but I finally got management on after 15 min of waiting

30 years of Apple and now I am thinking of other options
I bought a 7th generation iPad which I use just for my Sonos. I picked it up the other day, fingers underneath thumb on top and it cracked where my thumb was. I only bought this recently and use it rarely. I booked an appointment at Macmedic and they told me I should take in to the Apple store because they had to prepay to send it in, amount $518 which is about what I paid for the new unit at Officeworks.

False advertising on new Trade-In for new phone...
Purchased new iPhone SE using the new trade-in option. New phone arrived and suppose to get 14 days to trade in old phone. Yet after only one week after receiving my phone I took trade-in to post office and day later got email from Apple saying they still haven’t got my return. So I checked status in Apple store only to see notice that as they have canceled my return and even if it has been shipped they will not provide credit and will return my old phone. Wonderful experience at the Chadstone Apple Store
Jack was patient, knowledgeable and extremely personalable.
He took the time to go through everything and at no time did I feel he was rushing me to make a decision.
Even though I decided not to repair my old computer he was happy to help me set up my IPad and demonstrate some of the functions.
Very pleased with the service.
NEVER BUY APPLE
Took a laptop for repairs and they said would fix flickering screen for no cost! Get a call a few days later telling they found the screen was not faulty so a board had to be changed at a cost of $600! The criminals just suck u in to leave the unit there and pluck some ridiculous figure from there backsided to make extra money! Pack of criminals! Apple has made me sick! I urge anyone not to buy their overpriced rubbish that last no more than 3 years!

Worst service experienced at Apple store Perth City. One Apple rep was serving three different customer at the same time.. not consumer focused at all... had to wait...wait... and wait for hours as she was just switching between three consumers and finally ended up without any solution.... and Apple rep was insisting me to buy new product.... Soory mate! Your service sucks!! No more business with you guys.
Terrible customer service and Fragile product
Recently my 1 year old watch happened to unpair with my phone. Despite of trying every advice on Apple website and internet but no success to repairing it. Unable to make a reservation online so I went to the store and got told to come back another day at 9:30 with lack of interest to know the issue. After I refused to comeback another day he then booked me in to see a bloody Genius Bar at 3 hours later. Wasting my time and money. I will never ever buy any Apple product again.
Had to wait in line an hour before the store opened and then was told to come back tomorrow and repeat the process again as they were booked out for appt for later that day. So went back the next morning, waited another 45 mins, booked an appt to pick up my new Mac book for later that afternoon (after work). Arrived at the appt on time and was told that they had sold out of the product and that I to wait potentially a month for it to be restocked. Went straight to JB (should have done in the first place) and they sold me a laptop and at a better price than Apple and they included the USB converter for free.
I need my phone looked at as it keeps turning off. Did the online diagnostic and ok. Can’t book an appointment on line, so go into the store. Book an appointment in 2 hours - 2 an half hours later still waiting. When I check they said it’s another hour. I bet if I was buying something they’d be quicker! Poor show Apple
Refused refund after a child accidental purchase
My son with ASD&ADHD accidentally purchased nearly $200 worth of things in Minecraft marketplace without our permission, and Apple refuse my refund request twice without giving me any reasons, I tried the calls, online chat, none of them were helpful, your people basically just told me there was nothing they can do. I need to accept whatever decision Apple made. You left me with no other options. now I’m feeling angry and confused. I’m sure I’m not the only devastate parent out there who had similar experiences.
Update: After email the CEO of “Apple”, they finally refunded me money. I’m surprised and feeling grateful there are still good boss and people in the world of business. Thank you.

I purchased a new iPhone at Southland Vic,the girl was polite and helpful but didn’t transfer my data from my old phone,said she couldn’t.After ringing Apple for an appointment for follow up help,no appointments available!Told I would need to go to Southland and queue up to make an appointment for another day.
I am elderly and trying to self isolate,I have no one to help me,my emails are not coming through.DISGUSTING SERVICE APPLE!
