Power switch broke within one week of purchase
Power switch has already broke in my smeg coffee machine paid $420, possibly refurbished. Purchased one week ago. Have contacted customer service, waiting on reply
Shame it's a great machine other than the switch
Fridge & dishwasher
I'm very happy with my recent purchase of a Fisher & Paykel fridge.
The Bosch dishwasher I purchased doesn't give very clear instructions on installation. I had also read this in a previous comment which I purchased at the beginning of the year.
Website not accurate to identiy product outofstock
Received a $50 voucher from A/Online. Checked Website, wanting an item. Web-Chat for price match. Web-Chat was a long wait. At the end, found item was out of stock. Very disappointed.
Ordered wrong machine :(
Ordered a quicksmart F&P machine instead of a washsmart. I got confused by the auto sensor comment in description. Had a washsmart before for 12 + years and the quicksmart is not anywhere near as good. Had to use, as had no other.
My own fault sadly !!! Delivery guys fantastic though !
Found the website easy to manage and look through, except when I was trying to find about price matching. Found it a little convoluted, but when found explained what I wanted to know.
I bought a Euromaid Dryer from appliance online and the Dryer failed twice
The first call out was repaired and within months the same thing happened, appliance online claimed it was expired where it still has 6 months available, this Dyer is a lemon
Generous at three stars
I ordered a Weber BBQ and a trolley and other supplies on two different orders a couple of days apart. These items were to be sent by Australia Post. After 8 days from order date, I found that these items took 4 days to process by Appliances Online and even now, 9 days later I find that they have only progressed to "Approved by Australia Post" according to scans. This is very slow service for a company whose website shows "legendary service". It would appear that 9 days after ordering these items are still sitting on the Appliances Online's...dock so I rang Appliances Online up today. When I tried to chase it up, the first man I spoke to was polite, but the second man I spoke with was very rude, told me he was very busy, and hung up before I finished explaining the reason for my call. This is the rudest I have ever been treated on an enquiry. I still haven't got the goods yet and we are into the second week since the order. I will think seriously before I order from Appliances Online again, as there was no need to be treated so rudely. No customer should be treated as I was.
Worst delivery experience ever. Took my money and no product. (Updated with a resolution)
Latest Update (25 Dec 2019): Someone from Winning group (the parent company) got back to me and offered me a full refund and a voucher. I'm hesitant to use them again for buying smaller items though. But given they understood my issue and gave me some peace of mind, in the end, I'm revising the review rating. However, I will leave the original review as it is below:
Worst delivery experience. Don't trust these guys to deliver small items like headphones and more so if you're getting it delivered in the city. They claim my item was delivered to...my work but it has not arrived. I call their customer service and they told me it was signed for by someone and gave me a funny name and sent me to all the offices in our building looking for this mystery person. That was it. A person called [name removed] from their call centre told me they would call back with an update and never did. I've mailed firstname.lastname@example.org and also used their sites contact form twice and have got no response for any of these. I'm probably going to complain to fair work but write this off as a loss. All I can say is do not use appliances online for small items like headphones and that especially so if you're in the city because if your item gets lost they will not give a damn. I'm definitely never giving my money to them ever again. Unfortunately, I cant take back 2 washing machines and a fridge I have bought from them in the not so distant past, but this is the first time I had to use their customer service for a problem. Luckily the brands' Id bought from them is the likely reason I've been saved from all this for now and I really dread the thought of having to have to use their customer service again. 10/10 will not use again and tell everyone I know not to either.
Rude and Abusive Delivery Driver
The online ordering and procedure was seamless. Received in a timely fashion. Good communication It’s a pity the rude and abusive driver ruined what was otherwise a positive experience. Ta.
Poor customer service/interstate delivery
I have used AO very many times for delivery in NSW and had no problem. However, It took over three weeks to get a small bbq to metropolitan Adelaide - when I called to ask where it was I was told it was out of stock, and delivery could not be expedited even when I offered to pay. The website clearly stated it was in stock, and I was not alerted to the fact it was out of stock. I contacted them three times asking when I might expect delivery/provision of an explanation as to why they offer interstate delivery but don't 'deliver'- and I receiv...ed no response whatsoever. So now an issue that could have been quickly solved with a 'we are sorry this happened' communication, has now resulted in a disgruntled loyal customer, and a negative post here. Update: I was eventually contacted by a very apologetic customer service supervisor who listened to my complaints and assured me she would speak to the team involved. Easy!
Had some difficulties initially with delivery times and phone support.
Promotional items held up main order and then were removed.
Delivery date issues.
Rude customer service.
However stressful, Main items did arrive.
Highly recommend contacting email@example.com with any issues at all as they are Polite and concise in resolving any problems. I received a phone call the same day i emailed!
This was a 1 star review until i spoke with them.
Will at least consider purchasing from Appliances online again.
We've been purchasing hundreds of appliances from Appliances Online costing thousands.
I give 3/5 for communication and 2/5 for commercial pricing to resell.
They give you a commercial login which can give you a cheaper choice, but 80% of the time the main site is cheaper or they don't have it in stock.
Their websites are not updated fast enough as when we go to purchase an appliance that says it's in stock, it's not!
I sent through an order 3 days ago with no reply (5/5/19). I've even forwarded the order 3 times since...
Might be a great 'one off' purchasing site for domestic customers, but businesses will struggle and we'd be the backbone of their sales.
Thanks for reading.
Difficult ordering experience. Faulty goods. Almost zero customer service. [Updated]
Update 18 February 2019: After persisting with phone support, I managed to have a similar machine delivered as a replacement. I'm lifting the rating from 1 to 3 but can't shake of terrible experience I've had. Despite all, I remain a fan of the brand and hope to see them improve in the customer service department. My tip to fellow customers is to stick with phone support and remain persistent.
Original Review: Order process was messed up several times from delivery to cancellation of messed up items. Washing machine I bought leaks from the bot...tom front section so I tried to get help online. Their support staff [name removed] and [name removed] simply ignored my chat and closed it down - not once, twice. Service request submitted via online form was ignored, I never got a reply. I finally started getting help once I called their support number but was promptly forwarded to an outsourced support supplier who is currently asking me to film the broken machine and email them the video. Appliance online is a strong brand and I hope this review is brought to the attention of owners and management because they've really dropped the ball of "legendary service".
Site says in stock but items are not available
I bought a filter for my Billi tap from Appliances Online as some of the other online stores have very dubious reputations and can take a long time to deliver. I thought as this is a well known company there would be no problem. However, my promised delivery on the site of 1 week became 5 weeks as soon as I had made payment. I did an online chat with a customer service person who was very helpful and did manage to get the delivery time shortened. After ordering on 31st January with an estimated delivery of 6 th February then being told del...ivery would not be until 6th March, I was promised in the chat on 7th February that delivery would instead be 10th February. It eventually arrived 14th February (happy valentines to me!). Apparently the problem was that although the site showed originally that the item was in stock, it wasn't. If I wanted to be messed around and wait for goods I could have ordered elsewhere!
Would have given 4 star but...
Purchased for the 1st time on Appliances online. We bought a Chiq upright freezer (so far working as expected). The online ordering experience was excellent. Everything went smoothly with no problems - We paid, received email receipt, received information on what to expect with free next day delivery via email and sms. The next morning, we got an email and sms as to when to expect delivery within a 2 hours window. The delivery guys came within the 2 hours, all good. Careful in handling. Would have given it a all good experience until I found o...ut that they didn't install the handle on the freezer door. only noticed when I saw some hardware left on the table but with no instructions. Wondering what it was for, I went back to the picture on appliances online to only realise the freezer came with a door handle which needed to be manually installed.
Before buying, research pricing
Yesterday I bought an electrolux dryer through appliances online. Before buying I shopped around and researched pricing. Appliances online originally listed the price of the dryer I purchased at $658. I shopped around and found another retailer had the sane dryer priced at $485. I contacted appliances online who matched the cheaper price. The reason I continued with appliances online is that I have had past good experiences with their free delivery and fast delivery.
Before buying anything from appliances online, shop around and research prices.
Cheap price and fast delivery but minus the warranty
We have purchased a rangehood and also a dishwasher over the last month from Appliances on Line. The purchase, delivery and also installation of the rangehood was seamless and trouble free. That process warrants 5 stars.
BUT, a big but- both times the item was delivered with no warranty document.
Upon calling Appliances on Line they say that they are sorry and that for all warranty claims THEY deal with it, not the manufacturer. They also told me that it was unnecessary for me to register the warranty.
This rang alarm bells for me because ...
Fast service, but fridge got comestic damage
Placed an order on Thursday night and got my fridge delivered next morning. Swift.
Fridge delivered with no box or packaging and probably means less overhead for transportation. Delivery guy helped putting the fridge at the right spot under the cupboard and turned on the fridge straight away to confirm it works. I thought I should wait for an hour but I didn't raise the concern right away knowing they may have the next delivery to attempt. Time will tell if the instant power on after moving the fridge would cause any damage.
After the del...ivery guy leaving the premise, I notice a dent is right in the middle of the fridge, around the height of the knee. That implies either fridge is factory second or surface was ruined during delivery process. I should have spent more time inspecting before signing the paper. Well, the fridge is still functional, just the cosmetic damage. Can't say I am happy thus whinging here. I know the sour feeling may wear off as time goes by.
If you wish to buy without physically seeing and evaluating your intended purchase then they are your best bet. Often there are issues with dimensions restricting entry thru main doors etc. They will not be able to help you. The best advise/help you will get after interacting with any showroom staff. In my case they said they were checking with the manufacturer and will revert back. They never did! Their prices can fluctuate over a period of time, you need to keep an eye. Electrolux Fridge/Freezer which I intended to buy from them, got a better deal elsewhere.
Just don't get a warranty replacement through them!
They have really quick delivery and their customer service is pretty good when buying something.
My gripe with them is thereafter sales support. I am currently renting a dryer through Direct appliance rentals. I called up the Residentia Group, as I was having issues with my dryer. Residentia Group set up a replacement as long as I dispose of the old dryer. I scrapped the dryer and the new one came. I was speaking to a lady named [name removed] from Residentia Group while the dryer was getting delivered as they didn't want to leave the dryer ...unless they took the old one. [name removed] spoke to the manager and told them that they have ordered the dryer and instructed me to dispose of the old one so they did. 3 months later I got a phone call from someone named [name removed] requesting the dryer back or they will charge direct appliance rentals for another dryer even though it had nothing to do with them. This is when I tried to explain this and she basically said it was not her problem. I contacted [name removed] and she sorted it all out for me. [name removed] called me back and said she had sorted it all out and cleared everything up for me and that she asked [name removed] to call me, just to let me know that everything was sorted as I get very worked up and I worry a lot. I didn't want to do the wrong thing by Direct appliance rentals who would be out of pocket for something that they did not set up or approve! Still 2 weeks on, several phone calls left for [name removed] and I have not heard from them about it. I have really bad anxiety about this issue as I feel this can stuff up my history with Direct appliance rentals. All I can say is thank god for [name removed] or I would have been paying for 2 dryers for no reason!
Questions & Answers
I love the super fast delivery and competitive pricing. I am looking to purchase a lounge from the Ostro range, but i cant find a single review any where on the internet or on the AO website. The reviews need to be prominently displayed for each individual product. When buying online I rely heavily on reviews for determining quality and value.
I don’t understand as your post is clearly not a question. Are you complaining that it is the fault of reviewers not reviewing ? ‘Please explain’.
Are all the products you sell on your online platform, 1st grade quality, sealed in their original boxes ?
As far as I am aware the products are all new and boxed correctly. Ours was anyway. Hope this helps.
I have purchased 2 products from them and they are all new plus still in original boxes when delivered
We bought a pair of washing machine and dryer. Both were in their original boxes. There were three guys that delivered, unboxed, removed the old washer and put the new one in place. They did adjust the feet of the washer but didn't level the washer very well. So I took out a spirit level and adjustable wrench to finish the job. The boxes came with all the accessories/parts and documents described in the manual. In my case, I also ordered a stacking kit which wasn't available until a couple of weeks later so they gave me the option to split the order and received the washer and dryer first.
what is a great spin bike fro home that is solid and reasonably priced
Do your own research, I did and I am extremely happy with what I bought from AO! If you don't know what you want, go visit a B&M
