Poor canopy design
Rear window frame attatchment to the canopy on the driver's side has failed on two of our vehicles and ARB do not believe this is a design fault.
The frame is attatched to the fibreglass canopy with a bolt of about 4mm diameter. The hole in the fibreglass canopy is not reinforced and is very close to the edge of the fibreglass making it prone to wear and failure. This causes the rear window to collapse when the tailgate is opened. ARB are only able to suggest a new canopy as a fix. Their service in Canberra for repairs and new installation req...

Poor quality and no customer service or warranty
Paid nearly $4k on a bullbar and the bar cracked where the driving lights go on. This happened within 6months and tried putting a warranty claim and got rejected. Will be taking this further to vcat. Over priced for the poor quality and terrible service. Will not recommend
2 new roof top tent, 2 leaking tent !
7 leaks inside our 3 months RTT + leaks under the base.
We went to Cairn's store to do a full replacement for the first tent.
It was supposed to take one hour only but it took them 3 hours to replace the tent: after 1,5 hour of wait, a technician told me they had a forklift issue but it shouldn’t be long now. I waited another 1,5 hour.
2 persons from ARB confirmed a full replacement comes with all new accessories, but our old ladder ended up on the second tent. Besides, a manager from another store confirmed that the nuts/bolts/metallic bars u...

Dodgy bush ranger lights
Went outside one night to shut house gates & noticed Hilux spotlights beaming bright after turning them off & taking keys out of ignition after driving...rang ARB & they tell me it happens all of the time & take it in to be fixed. They were only installed 2 months ago, why didn’t salesman tell me this before the purchase?
A massive inconvenience buying already known faulty product & now having to spend my time getting back in to have it fixed.

Just don't use ARB
Save yourself time and money and use another company. Wasted so much of my time and $$$$ because I had to go to court over a faulty issue. They would not speak to me to resolve the issue and blamed everything (and I mean every) stupid thing to avoid paying and blaming it on me. They even got the "big" bosses to try and intimate me to back down. Thanks to my lawyer and and the judge I won and will never use or recommend ARB.
Just stay away from ARB.
ARB Ascent Canopy Rear door Exploding glass!!!!!!!
Went to open rear canopy glass doors door it exploded open!!! Not happy will attempt to get warranty but after reading the other hundred + comments this is not a winning issue I suspect
ARB Accent Canopy rear window breakage
I have had two rear windscreens of my ARB Accent canopy break in 6 months for no reason - the car was parked in a garage both times. ARB refuse to cover on warranty despite a Google search showing breakage for no reason to be common. I am very disappointed in ARB and expected a much better product and a much better warranty service from them.
ARB canopy glass exploding
just had my canopy glass explode , the second one in three weeks
please be aware that ARB refuses to warrant their product
i am taking the matter up with Consumer Protection and would encourage others to do the same
i would like to point out that i am a Glazier with 30 years experience and a business owner in the glass industry
please do insist that ARB replace your canopy glass under warranty as there is clearly a fault in the manufacturing process
Exploding Glass April 2020
Looks like I just joined the ever increasing line of customer’s with rear glass exploding. It literally shattered in my hand and spread across the road and footpath. I just stood there in disbelief. No help from ARB. Just $1100 and 3 week wait to replace it. Cleaned up best I could but still getting glass splinters in my hand 4 days later. There was hundreds of tiny bits.

Exploding Glass Jan 2020
Standing along side vehicle with ARB 2 yr old canopy, rear glass tailgate open when it exploded showering glass in a 2 meter radius can't believe this is acceptable someone is going to get seriously hurt
Rang consumer affairs who acknowledge it does happen, no one hurt no action required, WORK THAT OUT
ARB side steps for BT50 2010.
I found this product to be substandard, it is seated far too high from the ground to be actually used as side steps, thus requiring an extra wide gait to be able to enter and exit the vehicle. When issue was brought to customer service attention, they claimed it was not a manufacturer's fault but a purchasers error. While it may not have a manufactured fault it clearly has a design fault, I find this issue is only with this model as all other ARB Mazda side steps sit below the door sill, as these perhaps should. After spending $1500 for this product I'm left with a dud car and an empty bank account.
Really bad experience from ARB and Parkland Mazda
Purchased a brand new BT50 from Parkland Mazda. Purchased it with a Sahara Bull bar from ARB, a safari snorkel and also a top of the range Accent Canopy from ARB. The Bull bar after 6 months had to be adjusted as it had slipped and was rubbing on the front wing arch which they kindly put back into place and sprayed where it was damaged. Today however, 11 months after purchasing the vehicle with all the accessories i went to open the back canopy window, pressed the unlock button, with two fingers and just enough pressure to lift the window as wh...
Read moreat is usually applied, BANG!!!! rear window has shattered into hundreds of pieces, luckily for me i was not hurt. Went straight into Parkland Mazda who said they would contact ARB and get back to me ASAP as i needed to be somewhere. This was at 1430hrs on the 18/03/19. No one called me back and when i rang at 1700hrs and spoke to the same gentleman he said ARB were not prepared to honor any warranty claim! when i asked who he had spoke to i was told he didn't get a name but i could take it into ARB myself and see what they have to say!! sorry buddy but you picked on the wrong guy here!! I purchased the vehicle through you, i purchased the accessories through you, i purchased the bull bar through you and i purchased the canopy through you aswell!!! this will not end here!!Find out how ARB compares to other Vehicle Accessories & Parts Shops

Hi, I have an ARB Ascent Canopy with a roof tent mounted on too of a Ford Ranger. The tent is heavy, 100kg. On dirt roads I have blown two rear windows. Is there an alternative to the rear glass? Aluminium or perspex.

It's coming up to two weeks since my rear canopy window exploded on me, throwing glass all over myself and the surrounding cars. The reason I've been given as to why its taken so long is that we've ha...
Read mored a 4x4 show last weekend in Perth and ARB were busy, hence why they haven't given me a courtesy call, great customer service straight away there!! After 10 days i still had glass and parts of the window in my canopy as no one offered to clean the mess up, i had to request it even though everyone i dealt with came to inspect the window. I've had some good experiences with Parkland Mazda and the sales manager who sold me the vehicle and some rude conversations with another manager who i was sidelined to. Eventually they have agreed a replacement window for the canopy but as to my concerns and the email to the principal of Parkland Mazda in reference to if it happened again and what precautions they are to put in place, they have ignored so far. When asked what their complaints procedure was and could they supply me with who i would go to if i wished to further my complaint i was informed they wouldn't tell me and they were not obliged to either. Not very good customer service at all. All in all, would i go back to Parkland Mazda, would i purchase things from ARB with my new Vehicle, would i buy another Mazda? I would buy another Mazda, Parkland Mazda would have to give me a great deal if i was to purchase another vehicle from them and their customer service would have to improve. As for ARB, I've found all their products of poor quality but yet expensive, so no more ARB for me!! let's see what next steps i take if it happens again and blinds my son or daughter with flying glass!!
