Warning _ do not use this company
We had a very similar terrible experience to many others on this site. Please read through the reviews. Do not use them. The company was very quick to respond, very quick to send someone round to evaluate the car and very quick to sign an Agreement agreeing to purchase the car. We thought they were great. Then it went down hill from there. We signed an Agreement on the Thursday saying the company had purchased our car. We then went and told a car dealer we had no car to trade and we were cash buyers. WOOHOO! What we didn't read is the state...ment from this company "We can cancel at any time". This is on their web site and in the Agreement. Please be aware your car is not sold until you have the money in your account. Just because you have a signed Agreement saying this company will purchase your car, this doesn't mean they will actually purchase it. They called us on the Tuesday the following week to say they had "bad news" and the person who was going to buy our car had pulled out. We had no idea the sale of our car was conditional on someone else buying it. In our case, they offered us $1,500 LESS than what we agreed or they would Cancel the contract. When we thought it couldn't get any worse, it did, as this company took security over our car without our knowledge or authorisation and no money had changed hands. No idea how they can do this but when we went to trade our car in on a new one, we were told we didn’t own our car, because Are you Selling were the registered owners. had to threaten to report them to the police. This was absolutely SHOCKING! Up to you if you use them, maybe if you are desperate if are need to sell but in our view you are better off trading your car, you will get the same money and a lot less stress.

Sighed paper work agreed price on 2cars money in bank within 2days what a joke these guys waited 4days to say there buyer has pulled out then offered 2500 less if you pull out of deal 500 if they pull out you get nothing. total scam don’t wastE your time.
False advertising complete frauds
Do not use this service or waste your time. They state they offer the highest prices paid. I was given a quote of $10,000-$11,000 after a discussing about my car however it comes as a dealership in WA would offer me a cheque on the spot for $15,000.
The operator had no idea about the vehicle quoting that 2018 models sell for $18990 which he would pay only $15,000 brand new (as if a dealership would sell a car listed for $18990 brand new for $15,000) what he didn’t even know is this vehicle has no new models available in 2018 you can no longer buy them brand new.
Terrible company terrible service with false promises advertised. Do not waste your time!!!!

Absolute waste of time, first they arrived 45 min late out of my own personal work time, with no SMS or call indicating they are running late. Upon first conversation with the call center, i was advised at worst condition my car is worth $5000 and best condition $8000. This was also agreeable as per my research on the internet and online valuations indicating price range from $6500 to 7500.
The inspector arrived and spent 15 min talking to his BOSS and advised they will struggle to sell my Toyota (LOL a toyota hard to sell), and will only ge...t $4000. I laughed and was keen to see the offer, and was given $1,200.00. I dont think i have ever been more offended in my life!! Scrap metal is worth $1,000.00 The car was sold privately for $6700.00 Thanks for nothing u MUPPETS !!!
Con Artists and Shysters - beware!
What a nightmare this was. First they agreed to my price, then inspected and offered me lower, then we finally agreed on a price and I signed the contract. Then silence and I kept ringing (where was my money? - so much for 24 hours!!) Finally a man rang at 5.30 on a Friday night and said we can't pay you what we offered (despite us both having signed a contract) and telling me the deal was off. I didn't crumble (I would say this is a technique of theirs) and threatened with my solicitor etc. He didn't waver either and I was so angry. I ha...d turned down other cash offers for the car that week. 10 minutes later he rang me back and said 'OK we proceed' and then a girl called and paid. The contract says (and so did the customer service girl who was quite frankly useless) that they would ring and work out most suitable time for car pick up (car in rural area and needed to be driven to collection point), but again at 4.30 on a Monday I got a rude message saying that the car would be picked up from the farm (contract etc repeatedly told them different address for pick up) the next day. Then I had a job to get hold of the transporters and explain situation to them and sort it out. NOT best price. NOT payment within 24 hours (more like 4 days if you hassle, hassle, hassle) and lots of really shonky techniques to beat you down. Only use if you are desperate.
Absolute bunch of scumbags
After agreeing to buy our car (well below asking price), and coming to personally inspect the car. We signed the contract. Transferred $6200 to them as we still had a loan on the vehicle which was higher then the selling price, they advised that transferring them the shortfall ($6200) was the quickest way to process the payment to the finance company along with their funds. After doing so, 2 weeks later they contacted us to say that they thought the model of the car was a 'Platinum' and therefore offered us less again or they would have to canc...el the contract. All of this AFTER they attended and visually inspected the car themselves and us providing all necessary paperwork regarding the car details. Not to mention AFTER we advised them that we had paid them the shortfall of $6200....... Terrible company to deal with, and do not honor their own contract. In the Terms and Conditions it stipulates that if the seller wants to cancel the contract a $500 fee would need to be paid to them..... DO NOT SELL your car to these people!!!!!!!
Dishonest, disreputable, and a waste of time
Agreed to sell my car to them for $16,800, after they had inspected the car and agreed to buy it at that price. I sent all the documents and signed the contract, and was promised a fast exchange and that I would hear back within "a few days". Called and emailed multiple times and was told on multiple occasions that they would call me back. On two occasions I was told that "the admin team are in a meeting" and would call me back - didn't receive the call back. Clearly a common excuse they use as a delaying tactic as they try to premptively pass ...the car on. Meanwhile, I declined two other offers (one being higher than $16,800 because I was being loyal to the contract (my stupidity). Then I get a call almost two weeks later saying that the price was too high and they had to cancel the contract - after they agreed to the price and wasted my time. Absolutely wasted my time and acted dishonestly and in complete disregard to their own promises. Clearly company reputation means nothing to them and they will act in own self interest with no regard to customer loyal/service. I am so disappointed in the complete waste of time and energy I spent dealing with this company.

Originally when I called I was told the payment would take a few more days, I explain to the girl in customer service (Sophie) that I was desperate for the cash as I was going away. She called me back 30 minutes later after speaking to the accounts team and management and had my payment and collection of my car arranged on the same day. she was absolutely fantastic! I will definitely recommend this company to anyone ! Are you selling made my day!
Simple quick and easy
Very efficient for a quick sale although you do 'pay' for that convenience through a slightly lower dollar amount for your car but, of course you are paying for the convenience. Totally recommend. Very quick and professional and very handy the way they take care of everything including picking up your vehicle. Sophie is fantastic.

It's true that AreYouSelling.com.au will pay you a price between trade in value and a private sale. The trade in values i was getting for my Subaru Outback were around the $27/$28K mark and i expected about $32/33K for a private sale. Easiest way to sell a car
I would recommend using this company to anyone looking to sell there car quickly, Carl came to inspect my car and once i had sent all my documents the payment was made quickly. Sophie in customer service kept me updated through the whole process and was able to assist me with any questions i had. The company have been very helpful, honest staff and it made me feel comfortable whilst selling my car. I would 100% use this company again.

Looked into it, and I understand they need to make a profit so i didn't expect market rate, but the offer was so far down on what I expected, so I politely declined. Continually get their spam text messages despite opting out 4 times.
Very happy customer
There are alot of options to sell your car in Perth and after driving around garages and dealers (took all day) I decided to try areyouselling, after speaking to somebody on the phone about my car an inspector was arranged to come out and look at my vehicle, he was in the area and turned up within an hour. I was quoted 22k to 25k depending on condition on the phone ( highest dealer offer 23k) and after inspection their offer of 24k was gladly accepted they explained that they had a buyer lined up over east so they could pay more than Perth deal...ers due to the market. Paperwork was signed and I was payed the very next day! I also didn't have to drive my car anywhere else as a tow truck came to collect my vehicle. Highly recommend areyouselling for a fast easy way to sell your car without having to leave your home, and in my case the highest price paid!!.

Rude service and low price
The sales person was nice on the phone and told me that my car would worth 40k-42k. Told me to go to their office base to get the car inspected. An inspector came out. Very arrogant and rude, saying there are lot of cars like this on the market (eventhough the sales person and the website saying they want all cars and they seriously want to buy cars). Completely talking down to people to push the price down. Offered 38k. I had dealers who offered at least 40k. What a waste of time.
If you want to sell cars quickly, better go car dealers than these guys.
Don’t believe anything they say
Agreed to $16k @ 1pm Friday afternoon and was told the admin staff will be in touch shortly to arrange payment etc. I believed this was true as their website and Facebook page are littered with the promise of same day payment processing. Had no contact Friday afternoon and assumed it was due to the end of the working week. I had no contact until 5pm Monday when I was told that the buyer they had for my car had pulled out of the deal and I had 2 options: 1 accept $14500 or 2 they can excercise their to right to cancel the deal as outlined in the contract but give me a $100 coles voucher so I wouldn’t go away empty handed. Don’t trust this shonky mob as far as you can throw them.
Not The Best Price Guaranteed!
We were selling our 2010 Jeep Wrangler with over $7000 in extras, recent major service and full service history. We already wanted to sell wholesale so we knew we would be out of pocket alot of money from the extras we put on it.
I submitted an online price evaluation with 'are you selling?' which quickly came back with a rough estimate value of $13500-17500. Which is the range we were looking for so we proceeded to arrange a viewing time.
The guy who claims to be a mechanic came out and looked at the car and said things like 'wow its in ...great shape isn't it', 'only a $500 spend to sell it on' etc. He entered the cars details into an app which generated a price of $10500-$12500. Might I add he never looked under the bonnet or test drived it! At this stage we already had offers of 15k from dealers we were just testing the market. So I asked the 'mechanic' how can an app come back with that when I have had big car dealers offer me 15k. I also mentioned that online it says they have a highest price guaranteed..."we will beat any written quote". The mechanic and the manager who he was on the phone to had never heard of that policy before, the policy that is all over their website! They said they could give us $12500 but that's it and the mechanic went on to say his manager would call me that day. A few days later, after not receiving a call from the manager an operator calls me to tell me they really want the car and asks me if I was still interested in selling with them for $12500. I said will you match my quotes I have for 15k from dealers as per their website and they said no. I went on to ask why they advertise the best price when they are not the best price guaranteed. After 10 minutes going around in circles the operator offered me little customer service or solution and told me to go sell it for 15k to the dealer.
Very Bad Sales Tactics - Asked the car for 500$
We had to sell our Hyundai Getz 2010 1.6 Litre engine 96K odometer. They quoted 2000 to 3000 in phone but after seeing the car they asked for 500$. It was so embarrassing with the quoted price the car was roadworthy , running in road , recent tyres , battery - less than 4K kilometres on the new tyres. On the top with 8 Month Rego left where i will get half of the quoted money back if I cancel the rego.
The tech guy was showing his car and told that he got it for free and he is doing us a favour by offering 500$ and literally was standing In our door step for us to say Yes for his 500$ offer.
I politely denied the offer and advised him I am not willing to discuss on this anymore.
