Great light solution for dark places with no power (ie under stair cupboard)
In our new place, there is an under stairs area type cupboard with shelves and no light fitting in it. It was quite dark to go into. A torch was one option, although typically forget about the torch being needed get in there, then have to leave and get a torch (or turn on the mobile).
Then with a torch in one hand, you are down to one hand for carrying a box... not ideal
Also there are no power points in this cupboard/storage area.
So went down to Bunnings and found this lamp - which is a great solution to the occasional cupboard with no light or power situation
It's a 9 LED strip light which can be rotated, powered by AA batteries triggered by motion (or normal on/off button).
Questions & Answers
Would this light be suitable to put above a picture frame? The area is dark at the moment.
Without knowing the context exactly on how you intend to use it - perhaps.
- Fitted above a frame to illuminate the space nearby/ a passageway that you walk down occasionally (ie past the picture frame) - Yep ok
- Or perhaps to read a notice or similar in a frame when someone walks past - that would also work fine.
It's more for incidental illumination in somewhere without power than than it is for direct spotlamp type illumination.
ie. I wouldn't be using it to illuminate a painting or work of art if that is what you want to do.
I hope that helps
How long would the batteries typically work for? thank you!
