Getting a bit of a collection.
An AG105RD bass. A TC59 guitar and hard case. A Joyo JTA-05 amp. A DA-30BT amp. A BA30 amp. Bullbuckers. Viva acoustic pickups. Strings. A GD6 drum stool with back. A 7 guitar rack. Various cables. A string winder. Tuners. Etc, etc. Do you get the idea that I am happy with this company?
The first thing I ordered was the Joyo JTA-05 amp. Upon unboxing it, and plugging it in, and giving the tubes time to warm up, there was no sound, nor sign the tubes were getting power, so I phoned customer service, they were very pleasant, and after going th...rough everything that could be wrong, which was no bother, they emailed me a return address form to put on the box to return it via Australia Post. All free of charge, and another amp was sent out. This one is still working a couple of years later. I have recommended Artist to friends who have also been very happy with their gear. Go Australia Post vs courier if you can. That's the reason for the shipping rating. But Artist themselves are very good to deal with, and have a good range of equipment, from beginner grade, which is still ok, through intermediate, and even some gear that will keep seasoned players happy. I reckon only gear snobs wouldn't be satisfied. With 100 day free return policy, I can't quite fathom the few negative reviews. All I can say is order and enjoy.
Guitar shops can't compete
After being financially taken advantage of all my life by guitar stores, I was amazed when I purchased the TC 59 guitar from Artist $279. I set the intonation, string height and pickup height. That's it! It plays and sounds amazing! The split coil humbuckers sound too good to be true. It has a very comfortable C shape neck and a big heavy ash body. I could go on and on. Artist guitars are serious instruments. It makes you realise how much Squires are riding the wake of fender...and guitar shops are charging you too much $$$.
Exceptional quality. My LP59 exceedes my most expensive Epi's
I ordered the LP59 as a back up guitar to protect my signature Les Paul. I never expected this Artist guitar to be actually better. Especially the hardware. Locking tuners that are smooth as butter, roller bridge, coil splitting pull knobs and pickups that sound amazing to say the least. Trust me, if you get one of these it wont disappoint.
Great products. outstanding value.
I have 2 artist guitars and have also purchased cases and miscellaneous gear.
Incredible value for money. Better than some of my way more expensive guitars. Service is great. Highly recommend them.
Ordered guitar strings and a guitar lead, and as usual excellent quality and super fast delivery, not to mention bargin prices...all my guitar accessories I purchase from artist guitars, now I just ordered a studio microphone...
Super fast postage
Ordered guitar and amp on Friday morning, it was dispatched from Sydney that afternoon and arrived in Melbourne via Courier's Please on Monday. Everything in top order so very pleased with the whole thing.
Great store, great service and prices
Excellent guitar store. Mainly deal in own brand, chinese-made guitars, basses and accessories. Also sell a variety of other music-related stuff, including those from reputable brands. Excellent selection of strings too.
Despite being china-made and very reasonably priced, own brand of instruments are nothing short of excellent. I'm a luthier by a hobby, both making and fixing electric guitars and i'm yet to get one from Artist that I would find not satisfactory. Often they are just straight great instruments. Apart from 3/4 and 1/2 size gui...tars i've dealt with every electric guitar and bass they sell (and own myself around 8 of them), all being really well made and sound great. QC is very stringent: i've seen few guitars of theirs purchased as 'factory seconds' and I couldn't find what's wrong apart from maybe tiny chip of paint somewhere hidden. Very untypical for chinese products, internal electrics and soldering are of pretty high standard. I've seen plenty of big brand names doing way worse (hello gibson!). Pots and tuners are a bit of hit/miss on cheaper ones, but higher price range is very solid. After-sale support is excellent, follow-ups from representative inquiring if any assistance is needed are norm, and generally you'll feel loved as a customer. Never had to return anything, but from what i gather returns are a breeze too. Shipping is fast, mostly free. I live in rural victoria and it takes a day or two to get fairly bulky items my way. Now, can they get better in terms of service? Probably not. It's great, seriously.
the quality was amazing for such a low priced guitar
I got a used " grungemaster " at a pawnshop that was originally from this company
and the build quality I find is very good
the company seems very good and makes fabulous quality instruments
I'd buy their brand guitars more and suggest them to other musicians on a budget

Best online guitar gear store!
I'm a long-time Artist Guitars customer (over six years now), and I've bought many, many items from them, ranging from picks / capos / pedals / hard cases through to higher-end guitars and amps. Right now, I own six Artist guitars - a TC59 Telecaster, a VHYB5 5-string P-J Bass, a Spiritus7 7-String Electric, an OMS8FEQ Acoustic-Electric, an HG39303CEQ Classical, and an OS60EQ Parlour Acoustic-Electric, and I'd rate each of those as excellent. (You guitarists out there will recognise the symptoms of severe G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) :-)....Yes, they're all made in S.E. Asia, but then so are many "name brand" guitars costing two or three times what AG charge. Consistently, build quality has been first-rate, set-up on delivery has been good (only some minor action/intonation tweaking needed), and pre- and after-sales service has been superb. And no, I don't work for Artist Guitars - in fact, I've never even visited their store, as I live in provincial Queensland. These guys have managed to optimise price, quality, and service, and they deserve the high ratings they score. And on the rare occasions when I've encountered a problem, it has been sorted courteously, quickly, and to my complete satisfaction. If I could award them 6 stars out of 5, I would.
It would've been a 5 star review if not for their choice in Courier
You guys were fantastic to deal with and helping me sort out my delivery issues, seemed very nice and helpful. Unfortunately your choice in Couriers Please is a real let down as they have a very poor service and have failed to deliver the item requested by the date due to the drivers negligence.
Its because of Couriers Please that I wont be shopping with you guys again until you change courier services.
Incredible. Absolutely incredible!
I placed an order for my LP6G CIMMERIAN guitar on a Wednesday morning. That afternoon I had confirmation it had been dispatched. I received it Friday morning and it's UNBELIEVABLE. The quality is outstanding for the price! It's a beautiful guitar! I can't recommend Artist highly enough, and I intend to with family, friends and colleagues. It's my 1st purchase from Artist and definitely won't be my last! Great Aussie company. Thanks so much guys!!!
Artist " Grungemaster " Guitar... Great Value !!!
I retired from music gigs recently after some 55 years and I have had a lot of makes and models of guitars / basses over the year; Fender, Gibson, Schecter, you name it and over the past 12 months or so I sold the lot ( I had about 40 guitars and a dozen or so basses which left me with one acoustic... ) I thought I'd give the Artist " Grungemaster " with a hard case a try so I bought one online yesterday... it arrived this morning ( Fast delivery ) and I can tell you that it is a really good instrument for not a lot of money and sounds pretty d...amn good through my little Fender amp... Artist Guitars Company Number 1... I have previously bought things from Artist Guitars and always excellent service and prompt delivery... Bob Hely. Pimpama. Qld.

About a week ago i purchased the LP60 wasn't expecting much for the price, but its a beautiful looking guitar, and myself being a beginner it really doesn't matter, but i was pleasantly surprised, it sounds far better than most guitars i picked up at my local music store of around the same value..
It feels good, heavy and solid... looks, well almost too good to be played LOL, really enjoying it so far.
Service from Artist guitars is excellent, shipping was really fast, no complaints about packaging.
Actually, i'm about to make yet another purchase from the Artist Ebay store, either the AG45 or an STH, lol i'm hooked
I chose the courier option however I wish I had chosen the local post... It took ages to get to me...but when it did...yaya ..what a beautiful piece of craftmanship for the money...it is as awesome as it looks and plenty of room for pitch bending...it does have a bottom E buzz but no different to the Fender squire tele /strat range...more bang for your buck...really happy with this purchase...
Very friendly staffs
I love visiting music stores and Artist Guitars' staffs at St. Peters are very accommodating. They even recommend me the right gauge of strings for my electric guitar. The Elixir strings that they've had recommended was so good to the feels and just right for my sweaty hands because of its coated feature. Great customer service guys!
Questions & Answers
Which guitar would you recommend for someone with diddy-sized hands? This has always caused problems for me, especially when playing barre chords. My index finger = 6.4cm, middle finger = 7.2cm, hand fully stretched (little finger to thumb) is = 20cm though with an almost 180 degree reach (years of playing bass!).

Hi Joolz, Are you playing an acoustic or an electric? What do you currently use? Ian
I bought A cherry semi-hollow artist guitar like A 335...it has an "A " on the truss rod cover, I noticed that your current models don't have that. When did that get discontinued?
Artist G.Artist Guitars
I’m sorry we don’t have exact date on this. We do have new models coming out soon that might include this. If you would like to know if those new models have it or not let me know.
G’day, I have got myself an Artist LSP 12st NT and I can not find any information on it. I was wondering if it originally came out with a plastic or bone nut and saddle ?
Artist G.Artist Guitars
Hi Pete, that model has a Plastic nut & Saddle, Ian
