Want an overseas date?
After all the hype about AM, here's a few facts.
Overall there are too many scammers on the site. They are cleaned off fairly quick, but for a premium service, they shouldn't have got there in the 1st place.
There are no available filters, so you will be bombarded with unwanted messages from people of all ages from anywhere in the world.
Sign up is easy, probably the only plus for this money grabbing site.
Support is of no help at all, stating that their members like to travel and in that vein allow anyone to contact anyone.
Most of the me...
Full of scammers
The website is just full of scammers. Twice in my first two days I had interactions where after moving the conversation off site to email and getting to the point of meeting up, I was asked to verify myself via some "Safe Hookup Verification" before meeting up which was obviously some scam to get my details.
It's full of fake profiles which are obviously just bait to get the men keen and using credits. And it's fairly expensive to send correspondence.
Seriously, don't waste your time. You are just being conned.
This scam needs a bullet to the brain
If there is a way to nuke this business into oblivion and throw its creators behind bars, someone needs to do it ASAP!!! I don't even know how this business is legally running - it should be shut down by now.
So I signed up a few days ago...got a barrage of msgs from spam accounts. One stood out and looked real. We messaged back and forth for a bit...it seems like a real girl by the responses so I didn't think much of it. She sent her email. It seemed legit and we started emailing back and forth for 2 hours. Just before organising to meet sh...e asks to fill out a verification of identity which took me to another site called blackbookmatch.com. I then realised my time was being wasted by a scammer looking for credit card info. All the other msgs received have been from accounts located in other countries. The AM site is crawling with scammers and con artists. Plus charging 5 credits to send a message is ridiculous. When you advertise a service and pay for it you are setting customer expectations. When those expectations are not met it amounts to fraud. False advertising and basically blatant stealing of your money without providing what you paid for. Bringing me back to my original statement that this business should be shut down as it is fraudulent. Stay away folks. I've had more success on tinder for free than I ever had on AM.
What a fake site
I've been on for a short time a few months
Found nothing but models and scammers very rarely get replies
Most are very similar suppose they are computer generated
Still have got close to a meet yet
Worst site I've been on
Yes I've been rewarded too keep me here longer but still nothing happens no mails get returned
June 6th 2017 Update: Don't waste your money
I have to say that ABSOLUTE MORONS are working at Ashley Madison. For a website promoting infidelity the people employed are so not bright, nor do they listen to your concerns/emails. I don't reply to emails when you're trying to explain something, they are rude, tried to insult me, and absolute morons that just don't get customer service. This site is full of insecure, not so attractive, and shy passive boys that have no balls whatsoever. And if you tell them you're interested they Sook and report you straightaway and AM takes their side!!! They have admitted that the men are very insecure and easily offended!!! Lol what a joke!!!
Yes It Is True A Total Scam
No real contacts???
Are the messages real... I did not get a genuine reply.
Paid for credit and messages which I did not receive.
No customer service no refunds.
I have to cancel my card.
If they are real they are married which is really shallow.
Do not waste your time or money? Others much better.
Garbage! Zero stars if you're wondering!
I have been a member of this site for some time in Australia... After all this time and a number of similar episodes of utter rubbish it is my conclusion the site it complete crap! All messages are uselss... automated crap to suck you in... This is not the only site to do this. Flurt is exactly the same.
Scam Alert! Scam! Scam! Scam!
Ashley Madison absolute SCAM!
Don't do it! Don't be thinking "Oh I've got a message from a local (male or female)"!
It's all fake... just fake messages to get you to believe that there is someone wanting to meet you.
But no, this company is a criminal organisation, nothing more!

I really do wonder how many of the very few might not actually be employed by AVID DATING LIFE PTY LIMITED. They are of course the delightful company that the site is registered to and a quick google will bring you all up lots of fascinating details about them. Yes it is a complete scam, ridiculously overpriced, designed to fleece you constantly and absolutely crawling with international scammers and fake profiles. The latter problem by the way could be easily prevented by any first year computer science student and yet the admin can provide al...l the rest, grab the cash and yet not fix that. First red flag. For the morally self righteous and intellectually bereft it is not a cheat on your wife site it is and is advertised as a dating site as well as affairs. There are in fact women there for those that like to claim there was something wrong with your profile and I have met some but they also are too besieged by the scammers and the automated fake profiles which are so easy to spot according to some people to work out what is real or not. They charge $5.40 just to read the message to even see if it is a scam. For the untrained general public their credit is gone before they even learn how to spot one. Guess the vast majority of the population of the world having made the mistake of being born honest did not have you Oh so superior advantage of popping out the birth canal with your magic detection ability. We all must be so stupid and you must be so superior. But then everybody else is wrong so you must of course be right. We stupid people have learned to deal with the value of your opinion. For the burn in hell club perhaps you forgot "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" then read up on number 9 "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." Perhaps you missed that sermon. There are in fact a great many single people trying to find somebody out there. Maybe they missed you for a very good reason. What was I doing there? My wife passed away nine years ago so it could hardly be called cheating now could it unless you are one of the very few who can only be evolutionarily described as cerebrally carbon dateable. Actually I was investigating the many reports that my forum has received over the years but I guess that automatically makes me a sinner, a pervert and a liar to those that really value their credibility. In short I agree with all the reviews here quite thoroughly but in the case of a few I think we can all give their highly reasoned and intellectually rationalised opinions all the attention they deserve. Many thanks from the complete nonsense club to productreview.com.au for helping to get this information out to the public so that those that are capable of being educated can be. With reputable sites like this we can all get rid of those like Ashley Madison and their lobotomised cronies. ASIC is working on it and no I do not work for them. But could you please provide on the site the ability to give a negative star rating or at least a big fat zero.

Was a member for some months. Nothing but fake profiles luring you in by messages and pretty girls but sometimes profiles that look real, to only try and lead you to another unsecure website to hand over a monthly subscription fee and your credit card details to watch porn. To arrive at my conclusion I wrote a brief headline and added the quote "No canvasing" and had zero messages from that time on. Before this when I received a message I would ask the messenger if they were real and looking for a relationship and do not reply if different, and would never get a reply back to state otherwise. No real relationships happening here for those who are looking.

Has anyone been told that real voice phone calls will have to wait till the female is ready to call & speak with you? I could not believe that a proper voice phone call was subject to some sort of time-line. Any comments here guys? I'd like to read what happened to you & not to gloat or anything like that
