A decent monitor for sub $200 price range.
I started building my home office this Mar once lockdown was in effect and as a result, was looking for a bigger screen than my 13”
Laptop to spend more time on during the workday. Came across a few options and finalized on ASUS VP247HA as this monitor has blue screen technology that allows longer screen viewing time and reduces glare.
In a sub $200 range the monitor performs fairly well although it has more basic controls as OSD and buttons. It has an HDMI output so sound and video aren’t too terrible and account for 170+ degree viewing on e...ither side of the monitor. The sound through the speakers is just about ok however, I’ll rather use my headphone and mic. Again, this is a basic eye care focused monitor that does the job its intended to do. Quality is as expected and better than cheaper Chinese brands however, don’t expect this to beat a similar 24” 100Hz gaming monitor.
