ASUS RT-AX58U

Very good – Pretty good wifi router. Replaced useless erro mesh system that just didn’t work properly with Sonos in particular. Much better to have a single unit doing three level house, rather than mesh. System manages all floors well.

Great mid-range router – Very easy to set up, used the Asus app and it connected automatically, all I had to do was follow the prompts. Took less than a couple of minutes, then I updated the firmware, reset it to factory defaults. Kept the same wireless SSIDs and passwords for a seamless transition from my old router. Had it for only a month but it's been rock solid and doesn't get too hot. Has a USB 3 port for file sharing or connecting a dongle/phone for wireless internet.
Pros . Compact size. . Easy to set up. . Great app and web GUI. . Firewall and AV. . Reasonable wireless range. . Supports aiMesh, so can be expanded. . Ability to backup and restore settings.
Cons . Antennas aren't removable. . LEDs aren't isolated so the light illuminates the empty port next to it. . LED light label writing is a drab grey and very hard to read. . USB port is fiddly at the back. . No multi-gig LAN. . Kept getting 500 Server error when trying to link it to Google Assistant.

Amazing WIFI Range – I bought RT-AX58U from Bing Lee in April 2021. It is an amazing product with extra features. It provides WIFI 6 coverage, duel band function, USB 3 supported for sharing & streaming. Auto selection between 5GHz & 2.4GHz band. Also working really well with VPN connection. There are many more futures that being helpful such as custom DNS that help to block ads.
