Audi Q7 Lemon Car beware
Numerous problems since buying 2015 model. Audi Five Dock unable to fix problems despite car been back to them approx 20 times since we had it. Sunroof squeaking and finally replaced. Leaking coolant (valve replaced), squealing brakes (the worst problem) so loud it wakes neighbours and had rotors, pads, clips and all sorts done but as of today its the worst its every been. Also had leak from tail light (water entering ), boot motor replaced... currently still have black screen when reversing sometimes green tinted despite having had latest up...dates done when back at Audi Five Dock. Also side mirror which dips when reverse is selected stays that way even after driving forward. Lately car does not recognise key (yes battery replaced twice), windows shoot back up when try to put down.. radio stays on when already exited car and locked vehicle.... paid $120k for this car!!! Dont waste your money .. yes car has good review from car website who drive it for 1 hour (car drives nice we admit) but you want all these problems? Lucky we still have warranty although Audi now given up and we have to get Office of Fair Trading involved. Keep you posted. Soon we will launch site/forum to help others www.webroughtalemon.com.au Audi Australia - terrible Audi Five Dock - terrible Audi Q7 - lemon If you buy a used one out of warranty - God Bless and Good Luck!

Worst car I have ever owned.
Purchased my Audi Q7 4M in December 2015 from Audi Ballarat (VIC). Cost was over $115,000. Since this time I have had over 50 faults with the vehicle ranging from intermittent electronic issues to major engine problems. There is only so much you can put up with before you finally snap. The first issue I had was a structural problem with the front passenger door. It would not shut correctly and would keep bouncing out without locking - A known issue that affected early models of this car. At the time I also noticed the roof lining was not instal...led correctly. It was like it had been removed for some reason. Questioned this with dealer but of course, no-one knew anything about why it would be like that. I suspected the car had been damaged and fixed without my knowledge. Had the paint thickness tested and found the front-left paint to be thinner than the rest of the car. Audi said it was within range and nothing to worry about! Sure. I still have had issues with the camera system not displaying anything when reversing, or the image stutters, and now the images have a green tinge to them. Steering column needed to have work done on it - needed rivets replaced - another known issue. The list goes on and on. I have provided some TPI's (Technical Product Information) for you to ask your local Audi Dealer about if you are concerned. The engine lost all of its coolant - known issue TPI 2047044. Needs a valve replaced and gaskets. Took nearly a week to fix. The most worrying issue is the engine knocking sound. If you have an early model Q7 4M with engine code of CRT 000001 to 073341 you will probably have this issue too. THE ENGINE NEEDS ALL 4 CAM SHAFTS REPLACED! Ask your dealer for a copy of TPI 2043172 for more info. I refused this repair as I have had enough. The most recent issue is the car just slams on the brakes for no reason. I can be following another vehicle that turns off to the left and the car thinks I'm going to hit it. Had it happen with a motorcyclist behind me and they nearly ran into me. Also, when crossing over a busy road, the car stops in the middle of the oncoming traffic and the cars following you who also are trying to cross almost run into your rear. So dangerous and this car should have been tested before going out to market. Someone's family will be killed by this cars bad design. Audi offered to disable the feature until it can be fixed! Has anyone else wondered why the 2016 model of this car wasn't released in some larger countries? I guess Australia was chosen as a "Test" to fix the issues before hitting the big markets.
DIFFERENT AMOUNT FOR THE SAME SERVICE FOR AUDI CAR
Our Q7 has the 30,000 KM (2nd) service, I saw from the reviews about their repair charges or others, so I decided to check before I get the car to service. The first one I phoned to Audi Sunshine Coast and they quote me around A$930 and the other call that I made to Brisbane City Audi, they quoted me the same service around A$1300. Why the same service (doing all the same items) can be a big difference, I really don't know. Wow, we should get a quote before you decided where to go and mostly I cannot see too many good reviews onto the Audi Dealerships services, so WHY WOULD I HAVE TO SPEND THIS AMOUNT FOR NOTHING??????
I wish I had never looked for q7.oil leak is just inrepairable. Car is not worth for the money. Fix one leak and it starts leaking from another point car has only done about 90k and this is just absolutely piece of crap . Will never look for another Audi in future and also tell my all friends not to go for anything made from Audi. After sale service is shocking.

Great car when it runs, except it needs to be recalled
Had a wonderful experience for a week with this 200KW, MY17, December 16 built car, bought new from Audi Centre Mosman.
Then had a spontaneous breakdown at one week old driving down Lane Cove Rd in Sydney. Yellow "Drive system" error and the car goes into limp mode in three lanes of traffic. We manage to get safely off that road and then Audi Assist leave us for two hours on the side of the road in the rain waiting for a tow truck.
When the car is finally towed, Audi Centre Mosman inform us that there is a problem with the Diesel Partic...ulate Filter software that they would like to keep the car for four weeks for a software update that might fix the issue. We ask for a new car replacement for the week old car with 500kms on it. Audi Mosman immediately fob us off to Audi Australia, who say that a new car that is undriveable is a minor issue from an ACL point of view. We part ways with both Audi Centre Mosman and Audi Australia on whether a brand new car that goes into limp mode without warning after a week, needs four weeks of servicing and has a potentially indeterminate time to fix is a major fault or not. I am confident that if it comes to a court hearing that our position will carry the day.
Wish I never looked at the Q7
I have the same problem the car keeps going into limp home mode due to the DPS not regenerating. Audi Australia will do nothing about it and have told me to sit back and just wait for the fix to come from Germany. My car has broken down and most of the times needed to be towed six times in six months. Audi Australia has a really poor attitude towards this problem!

Terrible car and atrocious customer service
Bought this car new in May 2016. Overall nice interior and very spacious. Has plenty of positive reviews online (usually running 2nd to the volvo XC90). Main downsides include the size (especially width) and visibility. Access to 3rd row also cannot be performed by a small child.
Biggest downside, however? Reliability and absolutely horrible customer service. In 2 months this car has broken down on me 3 times. Each time a large yellow exclamation mark tells me to bring the car to a workshop as there is a drive system error. Twice i was told th...
I bought a 2015 3.0T S line Prestige 4dr All-wheel Drive quattro Q7, she has barely done 14500 miles. I hear the panoramic panel creek as if the assembly is loose, the suspension makes noise as if there is no tomorrow, there is a water leak from where the antenna is fixed. My seat, yes the driver's seat creeks like it has old springs that need lubrication. It's a piece of junk.
I have driven many different cars in the last 20 years but the Q7 is the worst.
Even though the car was worth $100k, it felt more like a $10k car. The suspension is too stiff and could feel every bump on the road. The engine light keeps coming on randomly and have taken it to 5 different Audi dealers multiple times and nobody can fix the problem. The control panel/knobs are so nonuser friendly and way to confusing. The engine is gutless and sounds like a truck. I can go on and on but I have already wasted too much time talking about this rubbish car. Just don't buy one or if you have, sell it immediately.
Worst customer service!!
“The most appalling service I have ever received!! Never in my life have I been spoken to or treated like I was today at southport Audi... I was called a liar, blamed for faulty paint work, accused of leaving my car outside in the weather as that was the reason for dull paint and rust spots on my car! One would think if you spend over $50k on a car plus $1200 for paint protection you should be able to take it out of your garage! According to the note they left in my car this is not the case at all!!!!! This is the fourth time my car has been re...turned to Audi due to paint problems and faulty paint protection! I received nothing but attitude and excuses. I was ganged up on by both staff members lying to me about phone calls and conversations we have exchanged but when confronted about them I was called a liar and said that they had never admitted fault nor spoke to me on the phone! To my discuss the male staff member that should not even have a job in such an establishment turned his back on me and walked away leaving me with nothing more than an excuse and a very sour taste in my mouth! ” I own a TT Quattro S Line and and A5 coupe well over 120k worth of cars and this is the service I get? Appalled!! Will never buy a car from them again!!!
