Great Luxury SUV
In September 2019 I bought a brand new Q7 50TDI. It's now got almost 62k km been awesome. It's a pre-facelift car with the 2020 engine and 48v mild hybrid system. 0-100 6.2 sec that's impressive performance. Small issues here and there but nothing dramatic. It's quick, comfortable and on long drives, you don't feel tired or worn out. You sorta feel refreshed after getting out from 5 hours of highway driving. Good on fuel 6.7l/100km and handles pretty good. Very roomy fits like a glove into Sydney parking lots and is pretty enjoyable to drive. You get a 5-year unlimited km warranty and 5-year 75k km servicing. What's not to like? Show detailsOne of the best cars I've owned
I bought a used 2015 Audi Q7 about 8 months ago, and love it.It has 4WD, 4 wheel steering and air suspension, and is one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven.
I drove it from Sydney to Brisbane, and in the wet on the highway at 110km/h it's incredibly stable. Also got 6.5l/100km which is outstanding for a 200kw 2.5 tonne diesel.
It's powerful and also super quiet which is a pleasant surprise, and the interior is a lovely place to be.
It tows my caravan with ease (that's the reason I bought it), and the virtual cockpit is an awesome ... Read morepiece of kit. It's a shame the trailer assistance software isn't available in Australia because of safety chain rules, but I hope Audi can sort something out for the new model. I also own a 2015 Mercedes E400 (supposedly the best sedan ever made at the time), and I actually enjoy driving the Q7 more (never thought I'd say that). The only issues I have with it are that there's not a lot of leg room in the 3rd row (the Isuzu M-UX is much better there), it has no spare wheel (not even a spacesaver), and the brakes tend to pulse a bit more than I like under heavy braking. The front seats could use a little more lateral support, but I believe that's available with a seat upgrade. None of these things affect the driveability or reliability. I've read lots of reviews where people have had lots of problems with their Q7 which is unfortunate, but I have to say I've had none so far with mine. I've owned 3 BMWs (all of which had problems such as the dash display failing, constant oil leaks in my 540i etc), three Mercedes Benz (one of which had minor problems, and my current E400 has a very intermittent problem where I suddenly lose power - they can't figure out why). This is my 3rd Audi, and I've only had problems with the voice recognition software in one of them, otherwise they've all been great. My point is that all models and manufacturers have problems from time to time. If you're unlucky enough to get a lemon then it's disastrous, but otherwise you should expect some problems with any car you buy. As for the diesel fuel issues, it's no different from Toyota Prados which are having major problems with their DRM system right now (reports of people breaking down out near Birdsville in their new Prado are concerning), along with some other manufacturers. Also note that Toyota, Hyundai and Honda have all received huge fines in recent years for not disclosing safety issues with some models (such as faulty brakes) etc. And if you really believe Q7s are unreliable, you should read the reviews about other 4WDs! As for the dealers, well that's a very big variable. Next year I'll be trading in my Q7 for the new model. I expect there will be some problems with it, but I'm sure I'll love driving it just the same. Love it :)
What a great choice

A great family car that provide the upmost comfort and luxury. I love this car as it is quite, comfortable, spacious and dynamic. Never forget to add the dynamic suspension and ambient lighting option as it can make a huge difference in your experience and comfort. If you are in doubt please drive a car with and without dynamic suspension and feel the difference.Show details
Fantastic
This is a great family car, i have a mustang and my wife uses the Q7, or when we are together we use this. As a family car is has plenty of room, very economical and safe. It's very ease to drive, when we first got it, i likened it to driving a cloud.Show details

Best car ever!!!
We owned Audi Q7 over 2 years now. Excellent condition. Other than regular servicing & changing tire we did not spent even 1 single cent on other kinds of repairs etc. Very comfortable for long drive. Love this car. Would love to recommend Audi Q7 if you are looking to buy new car.Show details
The best car I have ever had
First part - about Audi Dealership:I spoke to a few but went to only 2 Audi Dealerships. Second one was Audi Five Dock in Sydney. I was astounded by their knowledge in the car. I met with Nadim and he helped me to finalise a car and also told me that the type of finance I was looking for, they can help. Then I met with Christian. What a wonderful man! He helped me with a difficult finance and now I am driving my Audi Q7! Thanks Audi Five Dock.
Second part - about Audi Q7:

s car drives amazingly and technology is just mind-blowing! Love the sunroof and it is so big. I don't think, I can now live without the Assistance Package. If you are in Sydney and in traffic, you must have this package! Just relax and let the car drive you! The 21 inch wheel looks good but if you are going any off-roading, this is a no. Should've picked a 19 or 20 inch. The car drives amazing! 0-100 amazingly fast 6.5 seconds. Can actually fit 7 adults - may be smaller adults in the last row. More space left compared to other 7 seaters RRS, BMW X5, LandCruiser, Mercedes GLS. I have tried off-roading and even with the road tyres, the quattro pulled the car through a mountain! Love this car, highly recommended.Great Family Car that delivers Performance
I took the plunge to purchase a base model 160kw no options version 2016 Q7 in June 2016 after evaluating various options such as, the Volvo XC 90 a top range Mazda CX 9, Land Rover Discovery and BMW X5. One must have was 7 seat option that pretty much cut the X5 out, and the Mercedes only had 7 seats when you got to the GLE which blew the budget some what. As another test i drove the Nissan Pathfinder, which was terrible for me, as i hated the slippery CVT transmission, YUK and terrible driving dynamics.I am a guy that enjoys good driving ... Read more
dynamics coupled with functionality, and i must say the Q7 left them all for dead with respect to driving dynamics. The 7 seats with power up and down is a breeze to use which still leaves enough room on the boot for a pram and other stuff. The functionality of the MMI, phone, bluetooth, sat nav are easy and very intuitive, its hard to fault besides the voice control, sometimes it just doesn't understand me. The sound system is great for a base model and the 160kw engine is very perky, its really hard to pick the difference with performance against the 200kw engine. I would have like the 200kw but the budget didn't allow it. I usually put this car into corners a bit hard at times just because i like it, and the handling is excellent for a car this size. Look its not like putting a GTI into a corner but for what it is it left avery other SUV for dead with cornering and driving stability with the base model steel springs. Very impressive. Only negative in handling is very slight turbo lag at low speed. However when you compare the strength of this engine 3.0L Turbo diesel 500Nm to the other SUV's i mentioned especially the Volvo, i found that the Q7 engine performs with ease, where the 4cyl Volvo went OK but it felt like it was pushing a 4cyl engine for a SUV. As far as cabin comfort well its great, sometimes you don't even know the engine is running its that quiet, and the family love it for long drives as its roomy and quite. Overall i have no regrets purchasing a premium SUV like the Q7, the technology and performance is really prestigious, and i can highly recommend this car. If i had the budget i would buy the SQ7 which is nothing short of an amazing vehicle being a V8 Twin turbo diesel with 900Nm "Insane" which does 0-100 in 4.8sec, with pre spoolers on the Turbo. Awesome car!!! As you can see i highly recommend this car after 18 months of driving one.Never anything else
I love my car and everyone who knows me will know that I don't let ANYONE else drive it!It fits all the kids in and makes school drop offs so easy in the morning! haha! It is smooth and as an automatic driver I find it so easy to drive.

Nice, comfortable and smooth
Nice car and so smooth and quiet for a diesel. Have the 160kw model plus sunroof, 360 camera, assist package and 20 inch wheels. Plenty of sensors and self parking is great for a big car. There's plenty of power. So far all good with 5000km. Love the mobile wifi and apple CarPlay is handy. It remembers my seat setting and automatically adjust when I entered if it was changed prior. The only drawback - 3rd row seats not that big. Lifting the 2nd row ito enter 3rd row is hard - especially for kids to lift and put back down. Lifting the 3rd is easy - just press the button.

Love this car
Just picked up a used 2010 Q7 for my wife and we are loving it - we can get 3 bigger car seats across the middle row and the rear seats are actually usable for a 7 seat SUVThe 3.0 TDI engine is powerful, but quite quiet on the road and the MMI system is easy to use, overall it's a great package and a stunning looking vehicle (in my opinion anyway!)
Would highly recommend to anyone with a growing family

Secure, Comfortable and 4.2 Litre V8 Power with Fuel Efficiency
Great car - the ride is comfortable, and for an SUV, you don't feel like you are driving a tank, very little body roll and very responsive vehicle. The one thing I don't like too much about this Audi is the Multimedia input for your iPhone, which needs to be done via a cable and the TMC does not work in Australia.Show details
