Worst customer service ever. Still waiting for my refund from April. Company needs investigating. Rude customer service and they try and avoid you being able to contact them. Made me feel like they were doing me a favour when I got through bye having to wait 12 weeks.
As many others have found, Aunt Betty have stolen my money and continue making excuses to not refund my cancelled flights. Confirmed with the airline that Aunt Betty haven’t requested a refund from them yet despite Aunt Betty telling me they did over three months ago. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
20 weeks and still waiting
Waiting 20 weeks for refund on flights cancelled by Qantas. Have put complaint into Fair Trading. Will never use Aunt Betty, flight centre or Qantas again. Very shameful treatment of customer!
They Are Liars and cheats
I Have been waiting for a refund for a booking made with Singapore Airlines.
Aunt Betty advises that they have not received the refund from Singapore Airlines.
When I contacted Singapore Airlines they advised me that they had refunded the costs to Aunt Betty over 1 month previous.
They still have not refunded the $13000.00 tickets.
They also give You a complete run around when phoning them.
You cannot speak with anybody that can give you a resolution.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Aunt Betty/Flight Centre = your worst nightmare
I booked an Emirates flight with my relatives. They booked direct with Emirates. I booked via Aunt Betty for the same flight thinking it is part of Flight Centre so should be better. How wrong was I. My relatives got a full refund 6 weeks ago even though we requested refund at same time. I still haven't received anything. We cancelled in MArch!
Initially Aunt Betty charged me $250 to process the refund; my relatives got charged nothing from Emirates to process refund. Since ACCC stepped in and told Flight Centre they will be taken to court wit...h legal action if they continue charging "refund processing" fees, Aunt Betty has waived the refund fee but they are still charging me the credit card fees, which my relatives got fully refunded back, even though the credit card company is refunding these back to Aunt Betty as part of the transaction refund - thieves. In summary, if you book with Aunt betty, you will be charged $250 processing refund fee (unless ACCC steps in for you), plus credit card fees, plus much much longer wait time to get back money (if I even get it back at all) - I have no idea how long as I still haven't gotten it back yet even though it's been almost 6 months since I requested the refund. If you book direct with the airline you get full refund with no fees withheld and cash refund much much quicker. Lesson learned - don't book with Aunt Betty or Flight Centre

I’ve waited over 12 weeks for my refund, they keep saying the airline hasn’t refund them so I have to wait, when you call they hang up!
$2670 and they won’t give me a refund for the insurance I purchased from them. Terrible!

Ethihad are now refunding most tickets for travel originating from Australia. Ethihad announced this in the media.

Dishonest. Don't book with them.
Booked my return flights to the US . Couldn't fly beacuse of covid. Will not refund my fares. Tried to fob me off with , It will take 12 weeks to refund. Strange ! As it only took them two tenths of one second to take the moneh from my account.
I paid for airfares. I didn't fly. Not my fault. I should get my money back. How on earth can they think they should keep it ?

Will never book through Aunt Betty ( Flight Centre ) again
We had booked a return flight (Singapore Airlines flight departing May 20) through Aunt Betty . 14 weeks ago we went through the process of requesting a refund for the cancelled flight but apart from the acknowledgement of the request we have heard nil from Aunt Betty. The moral to the story is “don’t book through a travel agent”

Paid for my tickets last year, got communication ONLY when it came from me, they won't bother to reach out to you.
My refund was apparently being processed and would take up to 12-weeks. -This was on April 4th, well over 12 weeks now.
My advice is to report them to the ACCC, hopefully they'll catch on and do something about it. Until then, keep calling and contact your bank about disputing the cost.
Noticed a sudden increase in the 5-star reviews for this terrible airlines; sure enough, these accounts were created on the day of the review, probably in an attempt to boost their review scores.

Like all the genuine travelers who paid up front for discount travel, in full, from back in 2019. Numerous calls and emails later and it’s Aug and still no refund. A good measure of a retailer is their refund actions, Fight centre and assoc companies are a DISGRACE... Will never trust them, not the first time to be caught out. Book direct with airlines in future, poor as they say.
Refund of airfare cancelled due to COVID
I booked two business class flights to London in February for departure in early July. By early May it was clear that we did not want to travel and would have to cancel. I was unable to contact Aunt Betty by phone but their website was fairly clear as to what choices I had and understandably that they were focusing closer departures.
I was annoyed that it looked like we would have to pay a cancellation fee for both Cathay and Aunt Betty )circa $1000 per ticket) but this clearly stated in the terms of the tickets I purchased

16 weeks and still no refund
My flight was cancelled since end of March. It is now August and still have not received my refund. Aunt Betty treats customers' money like their own. I will be writing another complaint letter to ACCC. Aunt Betty and Flight Centre need to be closed down permanently.
Won't ever use Aunt Betty again
Like others I am still waiting for a refund for my pre-paid European trip in May 2020. I was promised a '12 week wait' , and a refund date of 24 July. This has now come and gone. Contact via email is a waste of time, one receives the same standard email messages claiming Singapore Airlines must first 'release' the refund, after which Aunt Betty takes out its processing fee. Cheap company that reflects badly on Flight Centre, and the CEO. Guess the lesson learned is to book with the airline directly.
Shocking!! Never book again..avoid all
Our flights were cancelled by the airlines end of march. Aunt betty said they would give us a refund after numerous days and hrs spent trying to get an answer on the phone. They have tried blaming Singapore airlines which have contacted and they said they refunded them months ago. Disgusting company
Still no refund
I’m still waiting for a refund for a flight cancelled 1 April, initially huge fees charged so I accepted credit voucher, then the ACCC stepped in so I was able to claim a full refund, Aunt Betty never advised me of this I only found out through googling meaning more delays. Advised in May refund would be processed, Aunt Betty blame Qantas for delay, Qantas say nothing they can do. Shameful behaviour from both, Aunt Betty say refund could take more than 12 weeks, that is potentially forever. I’ll never use either again, my friend booked same journey with later departure date with Emirates, received her refund promptly back in April when flight cancelled.
Avoid At All Costs
After a few searches on Google, I booked with Aunty Betty, I feel very sad & bad using this service as I feel cheated. I only booked through this website as the online sites suggested that this is a subsidiary company of Flight Centre. Thinking that this is a company of good repute I made my bookings. Now Malaysian airlines after multiple changes has finally cancelled the flights & I am refused a cash refund. All that is being offered is a evoucher which is not good enough. No one know when the travel restrictions are going to be lifted. Clearl...y when there is no service provided, the money should be refunded. Specially here where the airline has cancelled the flights, I am demanding my money be refunded. Ref: NEUEDE Online - Aunt Betty is your new favourite Aunty! Having got this far in the saga that is Flight Centre and Aunty Betty, the saga continues.
What now is additionally disgusting is that they are continuing to hold the monies refunded by airlines to them, and outrightly refuse to refund their customers until their arbitrary 12 week time frame has expired. Cathay Pacific have confirmed with me - and provided evidence and confirmation numbers, that Aunty Betty was refunded within a few weeks of my refund request. Aunty Betty are saying th...ey "have not got the money yet" - and that they will not investigate any further until the 12 weeks has expired. Flight Centre, You may think petty little policies like this are within your terms and conditions, but there is no way I can imagine you guys showing your face in public ever again. [Edit - Refund Received A Week Later] After waiting 11 weeks, and about 8 weeks after my airline refunded Aunty Betty, my refund was made today - so there is hope out there for you all waiting.
Worst travel agency ever, deserve to go bankrupt
Flights cancelled due to COVID. Was given until June to rebook flights to complete by 31 December. Impossible with current situation and travel ban on Australian citizens. Told it’s not our problem you agreed to the airline policy when booking your flight. No help offered, told if I haven’t completed flights by end of the year my flights and money forfeited. Disgusting.
Resolved issue quickly and professionally
I had received a conditional credit as my booking was with Virgin Australia. I used the credit to book a domestic business class flight, however, upon checking my itinerary, I noticed that my ticket was an economy ticket (at the same cost as business class). Long story short, I was given the opportunity to re-book the flight or have my credit extended to March 2021. Now I don't have to waste my credit on a domestic flight and use my credit next year for an international flight.

Absolutely disgusted with Aunt Betty Travel who is a subsidiary of the Flight Centre Group whom in February 2020 I paid $10,800 for flight tickets SYD-LAX return in travelling in August 2020 Ref: ABY3240860. taking more than 2 months to issue a travel voucher
We cancelled our flights due to COVID19 and received a credit shell from Aunt Betty in APRIL. The email instructions clearly state to call customer service to BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS. However, customer service cannot book your flights without a 'voucher'. We are relocating to the States and urgently need to travel to start jobs and have our house rented out.

Worst service ever
Booked flight to travel in April , the airlines cancelled the flights but we didn't receive any credit until after I called them today. I received an email saying I get to use my credit and traveled to my booked overseas destination by 15 August 2020. With the borders still closed and uncertainty to when it will open, I don't know how I'm supposed to fly overseas.
