Booking cancelled months later
Booked flights on the 20th April, only to be told the booking was unsucessful on the 30th June. Cannot believe they can get away with this when that's their one job.
Worst Experience ever. AuntBetty is a joke
This is absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. This company is an absolute joke. I am getting email response once every 4 weeks with me sending 15 emails in between. Trying to book flights for July '23 to same destination (Bali) as I have a wedding to attend (Couldnt fly to Bali originally as Covid hit 4 days before departure and NZ went into full lockdown) AuntBetty said I have to fly before March '23. They say I lose over $1600 because July is too late to fly. Rung and sat on phones for hours with no one picking up....This company genuienly does not give a single F** about their customers and do absolutely anything to drag the process out and not respond while making up new rules on along the way. A valuable lesson in using random sites for cheap flights. This company is an absolute joke and wonder if anyone even works there anymore. If you read this before using AuntBetty - Please never ever use AuntBetty. Extremely disappointed, extremely frustrated, extremely angry. -50/10
Poor customer service and quality
Terrible service. Will try everyway to get money from you. Unclear description of their travel insurance which won’t get you anything if the booking is canceled. A waste of time and money.
Shame on you Flight Centre, They gave me a voucher that does not work.
I had a flight booked for June 2020, that due to COVID 19 pandemic was cancelled. The travel agency offered in April 2020 the option to leave the credit on hold to be used in the future or to proceed with a refund. As it was early in the pandemic, I then chose to keep the credit as I intended to fly home and see my family anyways once the pandemic was over. In September of 2020, realising the pandemic was far from over, I requested a refund and had no reply at all. Requested again in October 2020, nothing still. (Files named 1 to 8, and outboun...d call record) In March 2021, I called to request a refund as there were no predictions of when it would be possible to travel internationally again. The travel agent who got the call said only $200 would be refunded since the flight company was no longer refunding covid affected customers, but I was welcome to leave the credit on the shelf and look closely in case the airline rules changed again. (File named outbound call record) In December 2021 when borders restrictions started to be lifted, I followed the travel agency company instructions and called to use my credits and book the new flights. At this point, the operator of the travel company was charging approximately $7000 for the same flights advertised on the website as approximately $2500. His argument was that the website had prices for new customers, and I was “re-booking” therefore the flight company would charge more. I tried arguing that I was only trying to use the credits, and I was still a new customer considering all flights were cancelled due to covid. Tried then to request a refund and was advised the flight company was no longer proceeding with refunds, and I was welcome to file a complaint. (Files named 9 to 13, and outbound call record) I filed a complaint on ACCC, LATAM (flight company), and sent several complaints on the “contact us” field of Aunt Betty’s website. Apart from the website form, the email address Aunt Betty provided to file a complaint was invalid (file named 13). No replies from Aunt Betty, LATAM says I need to solve with the travel agency, and ACCC cannot intervein individually. On 13/06/2022, Aunt Betty provided a voucher code sent by email, that will expire on 30/06/2022. The code is to be used when booking new flights on the website. I have been trying since then to book new flights using the credit voucher that is expiring on 30 June 22 - I've done over 20 attempts to book, all within the restrictions provided to use the voucher, and after imputing the credit card details and the voucher number, I'm having the same failed result every single time. The message "Flight no longer available at this price" is consistent, even though I find similar flights at the same price. Tried at different times, on different days and the same result is consistent. I have called yesterday and today and waited at least 35 minutes to have each phone call answered – I have sent emails requesting help, contacts on the website form “contact us”, and have explained the error and requested help to book on the past 2 phone calls – nothing was solved, no replies so far. I’m advised they will write me back with a solution on the same day, and I receive nothing. (files 14 to 17, and outbound call records) I have no time to wait anymore. The voucher expires Today– I’m taking this case to the Australian Court for litigation.

Booked flights just before Covid first hit for a family trip to Bali in October 2020. After 10+ attempts to contact and over 30hrs wasted on hold trying to make contact finally got through to somebody who was only able to offer a refund minus a $400 fee despite the flights not having been cancelled by me but by the airline due to government imposed travel restrictions. Why should I be at a loss when nothing was changed or cancelled by myself. Other family members who booked direct through the airline got a full refund of every cent paid yet I g...ot stung because I booked through a company I will never deal with again (or the parent company flight centre). I have made it my mission to notify every single person I know of my experience and will make sure as few a people book through your company as possible. The repercussions of your unlawful actions will far exceed the money you have kept from me. The sooner you go into receivership the better
Terrible customer service - Not notified of Canceled flights - wait for hours
Terrible customer service change flights never tell you. Unable to change on line. hours waiting to speak to someone and very stupid on phones. One discconnected me after 30mins of waiting. Do not book with them not worth the min savings

Flight got cancelled. Waited 2 hours for the caller to tell us to call again from a different number. Worst customer service people ever. I wish we had read the reviews before booking.
Don't do it. No saving is worth it
Like others, we have credits from a flight cancelled by the airline during covid. Every time Malaysia Airlines changed the terms of the rebooking window, there was no contact from Aunt Betty, it involved waiting on the phone for hours, repeating our details again and again, only for different reps to offer contradictory and incorrect advice, that often didn't match the confirmation emails we requested they send after. Go direct to the airline, Aunt Betty makes it an ordeal if anything goes wrong

They changed my flight with out notifying me and then refused to change it back with out charging me fee to do it don’t not book with them they are useless

Unless you have money to give away please find somewhere else to book through. I have been waiting for a refund for 2.5 YEARS (COVID Related) They are non-contactable and you just get computer generated responses. Please take advice and go elsewhere.
I have booked in March 2020 and could not travel becoz of COVID restrictions. I am trying to rebook now, but they are not contactable. I thought it was a reliable agent being subsidiary of Flight centre. But its a crap. I will have to forgo about $4,500 for picking such a worst travel agent. If I have time I would sue against them.

I booked a flight back in Nov 2020 but due to Covid couldn't fly. I got a credit and tried to rebook but have been editing 3 weeks for them to confirm my new ticket. Every time I adk to speak to a manager or someone senior tgey always say they are busy in a meeting. Worse company to deal with and no customer service what so ever!!

We booked business class return tickets to from BNE to HOB - We have been trying to contact Aunt Betty for 4 weeks now to change out return flight without success. Appalled. No response, none by writing, verbal, or other.
Worst Company I’ve Ever Dealt With
Charging me $197 in FEES to just use my flight credit to go interstate. They claim the cheapest flight from MEL to SYD is $303??? SCAM. The customer service is utterly terrible, they’ve given me no option to transfer to credit to Virgin or to their own flight centre. Contacted the ACCC and they couldn’t offer any help. Class action anyone?

The problem is they make it so hard to redeem it that you lose your credit shell. I called twice a week ago on two consecutive days and the said we will email you. They never do. They drag it out so y...ou lose your money.they won’t refund my tickets and can’t supply flights as Etihad don fly Brisbane to Melbourne. So I’m furious. I’m taking my actions further and will get media involved if I have to . It’s ridiculous I’m losing $5200 worth of flights. Good luck..your gonna need it
I'm not holding my breath to use mine either - we had flights booked with malindo to Bali for April/May 202, cancelled by the airline. Every single time I contacted AB I was advised "we haven't receiv...ed funds from the airline, so we can't refund you" and we'll let you know when the funds become available. Yeah, right... I will give it a last shot, but not expecting anything but more excuses. I'm fortunate in that I'm *only* $1000 out of pocket, unlike the many others who are significantly more worse off :-(
I had the same issue, my voucher expires TODAY and the website gets in a loop that doesn't allow me to book and use it. Called several times and promised I'll receive an email. Wrote some emails asking for help and they blocked my messages!
Has anyone had their flight credit honoured? reading a lot of bad reviews about honouring credits, and it's a bit suspect how you just receive an email instead of credit code or voucher. but hoping there are some people who successfully used their credit?
Not as yet. After 6 hours on the phone spread over several days, I did manage to speak to someone today from Aunt Betty which is positive. However, as I booked the flight for my wife using my credi...t card and my email address as contact, they weren't able to handle my query without first having written authority from my wife saying I can handle the flight credit! All very frustrating.
