Impossible to get a hold of.
Wondering whether Aunt Betty has gone into liquidation? I have called and emailed numerous times about using a flight credit and have had no luck with getting through to anyone.. help!!
Impossible to reach the customer care
Booked a flight and seems like it is impossible to reach their customer care. Will put you on hold and say number not in service after a 20 minute wait. How are these companies even operating in Australia?
DESPICABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- don’t even brother with this company
Booked with aunt Betty in 2018 for a holiday to and from Thailand- no issues. Booked again for 2020 to the UK and back, and we were due to return to Aus during peak covid time- could not get a hold of them to bring our original flights forward to get home safely, you’d be on hold for hours and finally get through and they’d hang up on you! We ended up booking new flights with a different airline to get home and save the hassle of dealing with Aunt Betty. After dealing with them for the past year and a half- people don’t reply to your emails or...if they do, they don’t answer what you’ve asked. Told me I’ve got a credit shell, which can’t be refunded, but must be used 2 years after original travel dates, however all of our borders have been closed so we couldn’t travel to be able to use this ‘credit shell’. Now trying to contact them again to get this moved directly to the airline so I can deal with them- but no answer, or you get someone and the call gets disconnected and no one calls back or sends a follow up email. Honestly do not waste your time- spend the little bit extra and go directly through an airline. This company should be shut down- the customer service is absolutely appalling and down right frustrating.
Never ever going to rebook through aunt betty again.
Book return flights from Perth to UK in 2019. Couldn't travel like everybody else because of the covid. after continually calling to reach customers care; was given a credit in June 2020 with clause " need to use within 2 years from the date of this travel issuance voucher". Now Since the border are reopening and wanting to book through the credit; was told the credit is already expired as it had been 2 years already. Tried few times to explain that according to the email about the credit given; it expires in June 2022. The customer service representative hangs up all the time. Has any one complained to consumers commissions about Aunt betty? I m doing it. The customers service ( asian accent; could be from Philippines) are even worst.
Initially frustrating to deal with but I’m the end they handled my issue well
I had $1,600 AUD in credit with Aunt Betty and I was trying frantically to re-book my flights so that I can visit elderly parents in the UK. It was very difficult to get someone to answer my calls, or respond to my emails. Eventually however a rep reached out to me on social media to explain the delays and I was able to speak with someone who helped me to rebook. My advice is be patient. Call the 1300 number, don’t use any local numbers, stick your phone on hands-free and be prepared to wait a couple of hours. Someone will eventually pick up, they are just completely over-run at the moment with calls but they will get to you.
When trying to contact AuntBetty, spent 1.5 hours on hold before speaking to someone 3 times.
Encountered covid related concerns, finally able to speak to an AuntBetty representative who informed us there was no cancellation with refund option and the only option to change dates would cost us an extra $230 per person (our original tickets cost less). Then, they refused to commit to giving a phone call back to indicate the outcome of requesting a refund from the airline.
Called the airline directly and they immediately moved the dates with no extra cost to the exact ones I'd enquired about with AuntBetty that they stated would cost extra $230pp.
Absolutely disappointing NO REFUNDS, NO FLIGHTS
After I was denied REFUND for a cancelled flight for the purchased ticket during COVID, I was given Credit which I CANNOT USE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE FLIGHTS.
After 1h wait time on the phone to speak to Gilbert, he said “there are no flights available”, you cannot use your credit.
Ps: he Hung up on me! - no resolution, no options, no nothing!
They just took my money and there is no responsibility.
They forced me to contact Fair trade for a resolution! This is ridiculous!
Flight itinerary and actual flight day different, want to change but no one picks up the phone and no response to general enquiries as well and had problem while check in as well.
Original service dreadful but upon complaining to management resolved satisfactorily.
Since writing the below review Aunt Betty have resolved the matter very satisfactorily. For rectifying the situation give them a star rating of 5 but the original service was a 1. Thank you.
The ticket was cheap ish but it just hasn’t paid off going with them. Trying to change my flight return date has so far proved impossible. Call centre person couldn’t speak proper English and line quality so poor. Therefore after he said it would cost $10k to change flight return date I gave up (original return ticket $3k). Two email requests asking to c...hange travel date sent over a week ago remain unanswered. Will never use again. Appalling company and what a stupid name. Thoroughly regret booking through them. Have been flying between Aus and UK for the last 35 years and this is the most uncommunicative company have ever used.
Dodgy, don’t ever use
Booked flights to Bali in 2020, cancelled due to Covid, received credit shell, can’t contact them to see if still usable and re book
No email address, don’t answer the phone, filled in contact form but don’t get back to you.
How is it that this company can get away with this sort of thing?

Bought a plane ticket travelling to melbourne from perth via adelaide total of 6 hrs travel but moved it instead to travel via darwin totalling 16 hrs. I refused and asked for a refund but no replies, tried calling their number numerous times even on hold for 30 mins yet they claimed i was a "no-show", now my bank is trying to get my money back from this dodgy seller. Stay out of their website, tell your friends and everyone you know!
Changed my flight last minute no issues
Was a cheap flight offer so was a bit suspicious however I managed to change my flight last minute without issues by calling them and being held on the line for max 30 minutes. Pretty reliable for third party service.
Don't put yourself through it
Terrible customer service, unable to contact after numerous attempts and hours on-hold.
Unable to access credit. Airline says money is with Aunt Betty, Aunt Betty says money is with the airline.
Feel the frustration of the thousands in the same position with this scamming company.

28/12/2021...I rang this Aunty Betty travel agent based in Sydney Australia and as soon as I mentioned about retrieve my travel credit the lady hang upon me straight away. Then 5 minutes later I called with my other mobile phone and I spoke to a very rude and unprofessional guy. I have $486 credit with them and when I called to re-book Gold Coast to Melbourne January tickets for 3 people, I was told to top up my credit $486 by this scam Aunty Betty travel agent. He told me that they had only a few tickets for the 14th of January. Then I went...on Skyscanner and guess what, this scam travel agent had plenty of Gold Coast to Melbourne tickets for that 14/01/21and onwards. When I told the guy about the tickets I saw under Aunty Betty on Skyscanner website, the guy became too aggressive over the phone with me, because I had refused to top up that $486 credit. Please avoid this travel agent at all cost.
Run far away!
Booked my flights Jan 2020 for March 2020, got cancelled because of COVID so applied for a refund the following month. It’s now DECEMBER 2021 and I’ve still not received my refund. They update with excuses every few months and say that they’re processing refunds but I think they’re just saying that to try to cover their tails so no one asks questions.
I and many others have lost work and some, their jobs during the peak of COVID yet Aunt Betty have continued to withhold funds that could’ve helped out a lot of people. They also had the audacity...to request a $100 deduction fee per refunds but had to waive it all because there was a huge uproar. Considering Aunt Betty is apart of the Flight Centre Travel Group, this whole debacle is also a poor reflection of Flight Centre as well. Avoid at ALL COSTS.
