Works well. Long lived. Not quiet

I've just repaired my 11year old one of these. A diode had gone on the power supply. I've used it every summer for 11 years, so it's had a good life and is now up and running again.
I was going to but another as a replacement, but managed to fix this one.
It works very well. It's a bit noisy (although on paper it is quieter than any others at 48dBA). You wouldn't use it in a bedroom. Show details

Wish I bought one sooner

We'd been having issues with condensation in rooms after changing to hard floor coverings & were concerned about future mould growth. The machine works so well, I can't believe how much moisture it pulled from the house. After just a couple of days, our overall house humidity has come down & is hovering around the recommended range for comfort. Just wish we'd bought the machine sooner.
Side note that the first machine sent out arrived damaged thanks to Australia Post (multiple items from different companies were damaged in the same delivery). Ausclimate were so easy to deal with when organising a replacement. Show details

Condensation solution!!

For years we had crying windows and mould spots appearing during winter. Regardless of what we tried, air transfer systems, more air conditioner use, warmer temps etc, nothing worked.
This unit makes such a huge difference, the air is warmer now too, so easier to heat. I highly recommend this to anyone who has condensation throughout winter.
In tassie the nights are zero (0) most of the time, and even with inside temperatures going down to 13 or 14, there is basically no condensation in any of the bedrooms. Show details

Pretty good but VERY noisy

This dehumidifier really picks up moisture well wherever you place it. Does a great job. So far the only real minus is the noise it makes, no matter whether on high or low setting. It's VERY noisy but does its job. Show details

Fantastic

I purchased this a few years ago. I've run it occasionally in summer and almost constantly in winter and it doesn't miss a beat - it's extremely sturdy. It pulls a LOT of moisture out of the air and makes the space a lot drier. It helps with dampness in bedding and furnishings and our house feels and smells a lot fresher. It's been a literal life saver as we live in a damp rental with water influx issues our landlord refuses to fix. It also acts a safe heater to have with young children as it does not have a hot surface like a normal heater. Show details

Purchased this a week ago & best investment ever.
Thank you everyone for your reviews, which helped me to choose a this product.
Enough said, go get one!
I must agree that this is a noisy device, however the results outweigh the noise ten fold. Show details

It really works!!!

I have this Ausclimate 35L for two months now. Very happy with it as it is not too noisy but powerful to capture lots of water. It is heavy but small and I can easily move it round rooms. I can feel immediately difference and feel comfortable about the right humidity it produces. Overall, easy to use, compact, efficient and work really well. Highly recommended. Show details

hello I have purchsed this product for my son a year ago and it has been great so I did the same for my mother. Her one is only releasing cold air? My son went over to set it up for her and he agrees its not working as it should or like his product. Could there be a fault?

I purchased the Delonghi 2 in 1 Dehumidifier and Purifier room size 30sqm so from 6am running it for about 5hrs the reservoir tank was full i was impressed but now i find it won't keep working i get EI error code when it gets to 49% my Weather station tells me (outside temp 32.3c 52% Inside temp 34.4c 54%). I need the humidity to drop below 50% to make house more liveable.

HN told me that they won't run past 30c is this the same for Ausclimate Dehumidifier please help as i need to know, why sell products to only work in temperatures to max of 30c? I would like honest answers please regarding these dehumidifiers. I have 7 days to take back Delonghi for refund.

Since using Delonghi the Humidity inside my house has dropped as normally my home reaches humidity 70% -- today's humidity it was at 67% so it's dropped 16%
Which is great but would really like it to sit at around 40% would be nice as even at 50% it's still hot makes you tired sweat still runs of you.
I don't have aircon as I'm in rental.

Hi there, I bought this product last year and started to use it recently (especially in this stormy weather). However, we just realized that it does not auto shut off when the water tank is full (and we have to clean up the mess...)!
Do we have to set this feature "auto shut off" manually or it is already set up by default? Thanks.

AusClimate
AusClimate   DM

Hi RKW Yes, the water bucket should automatically shut off when full.
It appears there may be a problem. Can you call our office on 1800 122100.
Rest assured, we will get this resolved for you ASAP.
Regards
Allan

The Ausclimate NWT Large at a glance

The Ausclimate NWT Large 35L is the highest-capacity humidifier in Ausclimate’s standard dehumidifier range. Ausclimate also makes a 35-litre dehumidifier as part of its premium All-Seasons range.

The difference between this standard-range product and the All-Seasons dehumidifier is this: while both dehumidifiers are equipped to operate in temperatures of 5-32°C, this NWT Large 35L is better suited to warmer weather. Its optimum operating temperature range is 20-32°C. The All-Seasons, as its name suggests, can operate optimally at any temperature between 5-32°C.

The NWT Large is also slightly more affordable. It's $599, compared to the All-Seasons' $649 price point (as at March 2022).

Features

  • This Ausclimate dehumidifier is correctly sized for rooms measuring a maximum of 50m² or 125m³.
  • This dehumidifier is designed with a 6-litre water tank, and can remove up to 35 litres of moisture a day (calculated in a 30°C room that has 80% Relative Humidity).
  • A continuous drainage option means you don’t have to keep emptying the water tank when it becomes full. The appliance comes with a 1-metre hose that can be connected to a drain for automatic emptying.
  • Electronic controls also improve ease of use, and allow you to view and set the room temperature, humidity level, and a 12-hour timer.
  • Dual fan speeds let you choose the level of dehumidification you’d prefer based on climate conditions.
  • In-built castor wheels make it easier to convey this 13.5 kg dehumidifier to various rooms in your house or apartment.
  • An auto-defrost feature removes any frost that’s built up on the evaporator coil inside the unit.
  • A clothes drying function minimises dampness from clothes that have been hung up inside to dry.
  • Other handy features include an auto shut-off feature when the water tank is full, and auto-restart after a power failure.

Points of praise

  • The Ausclimate Large 35L dehumidifier consistently dropped humidity levels in homes, particularly coastal homes. Reviewers appreciated that the dehumidifier collected bucketloads of water each day.
  • The ability to prevent mould growth was highly praised by reviewers. Householders who experienced health problems from mould (such as difficulty breathing) reported that their symptoms eased after regularly running this dehumidifier.
  • Musty odours caused by the smell of damp were also eliminated.
  • The process of drying laundry inside was sped up considerably, thanks to this dehumidifier.
  • This Ausclimate dehumidifier is easy to operate and maintain, which makes it a pleasure to use.
  • The customer service team is incredibly helpful with answering customers' questions.
