Good Price, Value Product - Fast Talker with a Snakes Grin
Did research and went to sunshine coast show room to see products. On arrival the staff were friendly. Letting them know I wanted 2 X 12v 300ah batteries about $1200 worth, I also asked for information about setup and use. All going well so far what I would expect from a professional sales team. After using there computer to do what I though was basic maths (15 amps for 15 minutes every hour 4ah) he then started to state I would use 300ah more then 50% of my battery in a day without sun (overcast day). Fair enough but I was looking at 24 ho...
Read moreurs time 4ah so 96ah that's a big difference even with a loss percentage for the inverter. So he then said he could sell me more power a 900ah battery bank for $50 less I was like ok cool I never saw that one. Well we have 7000 lines we don't advertise. Ok so I went to the desk and found he started to talk very fast and it became unclear, what was going on so I had to ask him to stop as I was getting confused. Wow the numbers being thrown around almost like he didn't want me to think. And the question how much does this fantastic battery cost 900ah wow I can run the world. Nope it was not $50 less but instead $1200 dollars more then my original price. Just insane!!! So I asked why was this needed. So he said the warranty does not cover over discharged batteries. Ok what does that mean? Well he began explaining the battery can not be discharged below 30% or they will know each time it goes below this point and the battery's warranty will be void. As they can do a special test. I should be ok I said it is no where near 30% used. He handed me the warranty booklet, and said when they fail here is the information. WOW So I was getting a bit angry now all I wanted was my batteries and some help with information about the batteries. Finally I stated I did not have the money for the extra fairy dust and batteries. Dame did it get cold in that room fast. Ok it will cost this much and have a nice day. Now to clarify it said 80% DOD not 30% in the booklet. so I did more research and well I checked their website nothing about battery discharge. HERE have a look (https://www.aussiebatteries.com.au/warranty-information/) the line call us for info on the warranty is TOTAL crap. Warranty information needs to be disclosed just ask the ACCC (https://www.accc.gov.au/business/treating-customers-fairly/offering-warranties/warranties-against-defects/examples-for-warranties-against-defects#examples-for-when-the-information-must-be-provided)Poor after sales service
Purchased a couple of cheap agm batteries and had one fail after 6 months. Very poor communication from company when trying to claim warranty. I phoned many times after returning the battery and could not be told anything apart from that a technician would call me back which never happenned. Eventually received a smaller amp hour capacity replacement. Not good when running in a 24 volt system.

It is trackable but they use Couriers Please who are probably the worst couriers in the country. With them who knows how long it'll take.
