Put money on card at post office to the value of item I wanted to purchase. Load and go added an extra 20 percent to the purchase price. My item purchase was declined. I have been reported to eBay for making a purchase as the card was declined. I knew nothing about this fee and it is not listed on the fees schedule on the net. The 1300 number will not do anything and stated that they do this to cover extra charges that may happen. This purchase was not a booking or air line fare. It was a straight purchase. I have now been blocked by eBay and now one is willing to help
Extremely Poor Product
Really disappointed. Purchased card as an emergency back up for son travelling in Europe. Card loaded in Australia. All details loaded at Australia Post by a lovely helpful lady. Card doesn’t work as tap and go and won’t work in any ATM in Europe. Our son now stuck with no money. Wish I had read reviews before choosing.
Loaded $300 on card for standard online purchase on a major site...vender never received funds yet my funds were debited from card...eventually got through to overseas customer service and said it was possibly a technical glitch..funds should be credited back within 3 to 5 days...still waiting and no help/assistance.
Avoid this card as customer service is substandard and unacceptable.

I highly warn anyone considering the auspost load&go travel to save your money and time by finding a different product/service.
I used my card in Scotland where it periodically worked at EFTPOS machines and I could not withdraw from any ATM.

I received a replacement card 2 months before my trip, i tried to activate it and it wouldn't work. I rang Load & Go and they said i had been sent the wrong card, and then re issued the card. I was able to a activate the re issued card, i then loaded $2,000 onto my card. I then tried to withdraw funds while in Italy and it would not work, so i logged on and thought maybe i needed to convert some AUdollars to Euro's which i did, i then noticed there was a block on my card, but not until after i converted the funds. I tried ringing the +61 130...0 665 054 several times and it would not go through, so i sent emails and all the responses where to ring +61 1300 665 054, even though i had put in the emails i could not get though to this number. So i was stuck in Portugal with no cash, i had to use my Credit Card which charged me International Fees etc (Luckily i had one), if i didn't have a credit card i would have been stranded in Portugal. I have been able to get through to this number in Australia and lodged a complaint. My balance was $2,052 when i left but because of the conversion rate on the Euro's that i could not access my balance is now $1,966, so i lost $85 :-(. Awaiting the a response from Aust Post, pending Lodging a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman.

Barely works anywhere and no online support
I got this card for a trip to the US and am pretty upset that I’ve only managed to get it to work at a couple of locations over the past 2 weeks. There’s $800 on it and I can’t access it!! Luckily I have had another bank card, otherwise I would have been stranded without money. Now my other card is low and I just want to access my OWN money on my load and go card. But now the auspost app says that my card is blocked due to fraudulent activity!
I have tried calling the international number they provide, but it won’t go through and there is no obvious online contact information.
Would not recommend this card to anyone.
Service is awful
We weren't very happy with the cards and had returned from overseas so decided to cancel the cards and get our money back. My husband initially tried to get his sorted at the post office and was told they couldn't do anything but we had to call the load and go number. The post office staff member was a bit disparaging as he said "good luck with that". My husband was lucky he managed to get his money back within about 2-3 days but my experience was very different. I tried to cancel my card and get the remaining money back which was around $100. ...Two weeks after lodging the request I called asking where the money order was. I was told I had to wait 21 days. I tried again in a week. I was told the only thing they could do was "escalate". I pointed out that I didn't want to wait another 3 weeks so could they get back to me and send the money quickly by secure post. No phone call, no money order. Called again a week later...same response "need to escalate". I asked to speak to a supervisor but conveniently the supervisor was "not in the office but would be back in 30 min" and they would call me back in an hour. I got the name of the supervisor. I waited and gave them an extra hour. I called back - same response "need to escalate" I said I wanted to speak to the named supervisor. She was "too busy" to talk to me and would call back later. As I had zero confidence she would call me back I said I would wait on hold until the supervisor would speak to me. I've now been on the phone 45 min and still no response. I would like to put in an official complaint at this point but I bet that isn't even an option. This is up there as some of the worst service I have ever experienced. It shouldn't take 5 weeks, 4 phone calls and about an hour and a half on the phone to cancel a card and get my money back. I would hate to think what would have happened if I was overseas and something had actually happened with my card. Although to be honest I vaguely remember that the reason we still had money on it was due to difficulty accessing while overseas.
Cannot put money on the card
Went to post office put $25 on load&go the transaction didnt hap pen but the posy office took the money gave me a reciept.rank loag&go they said go back to post office get reimbursed. Did that got money back.went to a different post office .same thing happened so now i have to go back to that post office tomorrow morning to get my money back. I am paying buy cash .so obviously there is a problem with the eptos

An absolute disaster
DO NOT GET THIS CARD! Here are all of the problems I had:
1. The exchange rate is far lower than competitors, up to 3 cents in some cases.
2. Australia Post do not provide the support, but if you need support it still sends you the AusPost support page. You email them and wait for a reply which tells you to call an Australian phone number FOR AN INTERNATIONAL CARD. There is not online chat option. I had to pay $15 in calls just to get my card unlocked. Which brings me to
3. I tried to change the pin once I had activated it on a website that...
I wanted to see the balance on my Load & Go card. I have forgotton my password. So I sent in a request to change my password. There was a message on my screen that an email has been sent and to click on the link. I am still waiting. No email..........as yet. I have tried to see the balance on my card before and I failed as the system did not allow me to do it. What I am asking for is a very simple request.
The reviews are terrible......wonder wether anyone at Australia Post looks at them.
More problems with Load & Go cards
Bought a new card last Saturday because the old card had expired (no new card arrived and no email reminding me that the card was going to expire.....that's another story!!). Could not add the card to my Aus Post account. Rang up and they were having issues...try again in 24 hours. Tried again Tuesday and still same problem. We are working on it. No promise of an email when everything OK. Front end support not getting updates from back end support so that they can give informative answers.
Something a bit wrong with Aus Post support. My ol...d card should never run out without a new one arriving for me to have continuity of use. The excuse that all cards below a certain balance are left to run out is not good enough. No quality control requests for customer feedback on their support experience like most service providers. Front end support not really giving you the answer you want. Need a new service desk manager with a proven track record to really shake Load & Go support up!!
I got one of these when I went overseas a few years back. I found with the fees it wasn’t worth having. You’re better off with a debit card with no overseas fee charges or ATM fees (eg ING). I only had less than $20 left on the card. Tried to use it but it wouldn’t work. Thought I had my PIN wrong but when I checked online and I was right. I was thinking of cutting up the card but I received a replacement card as the old one had expired. The letter said to take the letter to the Post Office to activate the card. I took it there. They said they ...couldn’t do it and to ring the number on the letter. I rang Auspost and keyed in the card number. They said it was incorrect. They said to key in another number on the card. They said that was wrong. Eventually I got onto a helpful person. She informed me that there was a problem with recently issued cards and that I would have to buy a new one. She said the application fee of around $6 would be waived but that I would have to ring them again to get this done after I had purchased the new card. She told me that I had about $13 on the card. I thanked her and cut up my card.
Card blocked, I’m in Bali and 24/7 number not working
Was told that I couldn’t use my load&go reloadable card for ATM withdrawals in Bali and I should get a load&go Travel card, which I did. I am now in Bali, used it to pay for my accommodation and the transaction is declined. My card is blocked, I have tried to call the 24/7 support number but it just disconnects.
Very frustrating -this is a bad product!
It is so difficult to manage my load and go card on line: difficult is an understatement, as impossible is more accurate as despite numerous attempts over weeks I cannot log on (I used to be able to previously, but now not possible). No luck with gaining a response on line to the problem either.
