I like Australia post, however I would not recommend this product. It is a major rip off, and far too expensive. Also, the Australia post load and go site and load and go card is not as secure as it should be.
I set up my card online (as the post office manager adviced me), and some money was stolen off my load and go card very shortly afterwards. Later when I tried to login to my Australia Post load and go account, I could not even get into my Australia post load and go account. I rang this company and then the polite lady at the call ce...ntre asked me to send a scan of my drivers licence, and share with them my mothers maiden name. As well as this, this company has quite costly fees for buying items and ringing them to ask them for your balance. I must say that I was quite happy with this product at first. This company's load and go card product and services linked in with this product has come to deeply disappoint me. I would encourage others to avoid this dodgy load and go product.
More problems with Load & Go cards
Bought a new card last Saturday because the old card had expired (no new card arrived and no email reminding me that the card was going to expire.....that's another story!!). Could not add the card to my Aus Post account. Rang up and they were having issues...try again in 24 hours. Tried again Tuesday and still same problem. We are working on it. No promise of an email when everything OK. Front end support not getting updates from back end support so that they can give informative answers.
Something a bit wrong with Aus Post support. My ol...d card should never run out without a new one arriving for me to have continuity of use. The excuse that all cards below a certain balance are left to run out is not good enough. No quality control requests for customer feedback on their support experience like most service providers. Front end support not really giving you the answer you want. Need a new service desk manager with a proven track record to really shake Load & Go support up!!
I really hoped this service would be better
After reading these reviews I set this card up as a backup for other services I use. Now my card has been blocked because of incorrect pin entry and I cannot call the support number from the Nederlands. When I do I get a voice message saying "The number have called has been barred" in Deutch. [name removed], you seem lovely. Please tell me there is another way for me to unblock this card.
Lots of screwing around to load money, slow to transfer, not accepted by some online systems, fees are quite expensive for the value provided and you can’t withdraw the money... kinda sucks
Waiting waiting again
We had a load and go card which was used for a transaction online and unfortunately the product we purchased was online and we requested vendor To give us a refund on return of the product of Which took ages and when they finally refunded our money it was refunded into our expired load and go card. We then had to contact the Australia Post in charge of the load and go card and then went through a lenghthly process of identification requiring us to give a six digit access number which unfortunately we could not remember as it had been over six ...months and the card had expired, finally after a considerable amount of time, it was agreed that they would send us the refund via a money order, two weeks after that we received the money order and then, Only to discover that it had been issued with an incorrect surname which was actually part of our email address ? We obviously could not cash the money order for our refund so had had to call Australia Post again and had to go through the id process again even after explaining the card was expired and we couldn’t remember the 6 digit access number.. we were then told it had to go through the department that issued the cheque which would take 4 working days...before we could discuss it with them when they call us.?! Can’t help being a bit frustrated seeing it’s our money and we have to wait because of a mistake made by them ? Not happy!
Not aware of load change
Angry beyond words! The loading of money option on the load and go web site has been removed, so now the only way to load funds is via internet banking which can take 48 Business hours to load. My 15 year old daughter used this card in the USA in October and we were very happy with it as we could load funds onto it quickly when needed, assumed this would be the case now my other daughter is in Europe, she is now having to wait for funds. Would not have used this type of card had I know the changes Australia post had made to the loading faciliti...es. Rang and spoke to load and go yesterday and I was assured I could make a payment onto it at and Aust post office and the money would be loaded straight away but when I tried this at the branch was told that is not the case.
The card itself works well, and costs a low price with few surcharges along the way. However, the website seems extremely hard to access with the card and is not recommended if you wish to check out things online.
Too hard to load money online
I bought a card over the counter and loaded it with $100 so that my teen can use it to buy bits and pieces. I wanted to test it, then load a larger amount once I was happy that it worked. It did work, but now it's costing me a lot of time trying to work out how to load more money on to it online.
When I click "load funds", it just has a very curt "ID Verification required to perform this service". My id has been good enough to get online, activate the card, view transactions and more. Surely my id could be good enough to at least get some INSTRUCTIONS on how to load more money??
The documentation is terrible. I'm sure there's a way, but honestly, I don't have time for this.
Duplicate transaction, one is pre authorised
I made purchase online by load and go travel card. Today I found available fund is reduced by twice than I spent. There are three transactions in the history. one is 100.09 pre authorised. Second one is 100. Third one is 0.09. Available fund is my account is reduced by 200.18. Why I get double charged?
NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE.
I don't recommend this card for use. They took funds out for a new card without permission i did not request a new one and now its on its way and i want my money back and i don't want the new card.
Haven't used it yet, setting up is making me angry, can't see my card details online it's telling me to add card but I already have and I have no other option!!
A nightmare in accessing Financial data, wallets and currency transfer
Load and Go China.
When I received the card I had some initial set up issues. I rang custom support and they were really good, helpful, well mannered and they resolved my problem. The card worked well for about 2 weeks.
It then appears that Auspost changed the format of the website, The Manage your Money tab had been changed. That was around 26 to 29 Jun. Since then I cannot access my financial details, it keeps sending me to 'Register a Card' page, it will not accept my card or allow me a way out from the page. I tried the Auspost App and ...
Cannot use it for Itunes
I received the new card recently, then when I tried to set it up for ITunes payments, surprise it is not accepted there must be something wrong with the 3 numbers code or something. the old card I had worked perfecrly
I couldn't use either to pay my parking fees in the city (using the PayWave function)
This is annoying :-(
The change that happened has removed some of the trust in their card and service
Loaded funds 200 had been fine using this game to make online purchases, ie stan,netflix amazon and a few others and many times reloading without a problem

$1.09 AUD fees of payment failed.
Spoke with Customer Service after about a 19 min onhold (Saturday morning) -Not bad
Was advised that changes had been made on the 15th June in the type of purchases that can be made on this card.
One time only purchases and no longer allowing purchases made to Stan or Netflix as they are sub based.
Poor New Card
Received New Card. Cannot Activate as it says "card added to another account.Check details" My details are correct and the new CVV number was correct. In frustration I added my old CVV number, it was accepted, locked in & cannot be changed. Will have to go on a spending spree so I do not loss my funds when the card expires.

I'm afraid not, as generally subscription based services require a credit card, whereas the Load and Go card acts as a debit card. Your best bet would be to speak with the company you'd like to have the membership with and see what they say.
i loaded my travel card, but i can't make a w-drawer. every time i try to get cash at the ATM machine it keeps saying temporarily unavailable and transaction canceled. please someone tell me what is wrong and how can i fix it?
I had a similar issue with this card. I tried to buy via eftpos at a shop with my savings in this card, and could not rectify the issue.
When I contacted load and go, to help me to get into my online Australia post load and go account they wanted me to give them a photo of my medicare card and drivers licence detalis online. I felt that doing this online may be unsafe, due to the possibility of I.D theft
Also, when I had money stolen out of my Australia post load and go account, when I complained to the Australia post staff, they would not even investigate it, or follow it up. The fees for load and go are very expensive. I think that you are better of using a special fee free or low fee bank account for online purposes, to get better customer service and lower fees.
